@barnyb Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I haven't been able to see any movements yet, though I haven't actually been looking so maybe I should try doing that lol but at night when I'm getting settled in bed I notice I feel movements more when I'm lying on my back for a bit.
Fortunately, I haven't been getting too worried yet but know I can call the midwife or hospital if I am concerned which is reassuring.
I've had 3 bleeding episodes in the last few weeks - luckily everything is fine and they can't find any cause for it - so have been able to hear the baby's heartbeat a few times when I've went to hospital which has helped reassure me.

Still find it hard to believe that there's a wee baby growing inside me though haha but love that I am able to feel movements now which helps make it feel more real.

barnyb · 20/11/2019 21:56

@thankful16 sorry you've had some bleeding ! That must have been really scary every time it's happened! I haven't experienced any luckily so I can't relate on that note !
Yes I notice when I'm in the bath laying on my back. I don't have a deep bath so no water over my belly. I just lay and wait for baby to do something! And sure enough she normally does! Iv been extremely tired and emotional today which isn't normal for me. So I think maybe she has been growing lots today or just getting some more muscles to kick me harder ! 😁
I literally have different experiences with movements and feelings every day so your not alone xxxx

sep30 · 20/11/2019 22:58

@thankful16 Im exactly the same too, managed to persuade myself last night something was wrong as hadn't felt it move all eve and then really early in the morning I couldn't get back to sleep as it was so active!! I'm 25+3. Still not seeing loads of movement outside but starting to feel it more with my hand which is lovely!

thankful16 · 21/11/2019 10:02

@barnyb Thank you. It was really scary when it first happened. Luckily, the maternity assessment unit have been great and been really helpful in explaining everything to me and what they are doing. They take my temperature and blood pressure and listen for the baby's heartbeat and then get a doctor to check my cervix to make sure everything is as it should be. The first time it happened it was just a few days before my 20 week scan so they gave me a scan the next day just to check if they could see where the bleeding may be coming from but they couldn't find anything. The second time it happened, it was the tiniest bit of blood so because I was seeing my midwife the next morning anyways I just waited and mentioned it to her. The thing is I'm rhesus negative so it means every time I bleed I need to get an anti d injection so they need to take my blood and send it off to the blood bank to make up the injection which can take a few hours so I've always just went back the next day to get it. It's less scary now I'm used to the procedure but still doesn't stop me worrying every time I see a bit of blood.

Yeah I'm finding I'm the same with the movements, every day is different!

@sep30 I was a bit like that last night too. Hadn't felt strong movements at all for most of the day and was starting to doubt the faint movements I thought I had felt earlier in the day were actually movements but then got into bed last night and she started kicking away. My partner actually felt a proper kick for the first time which was lovely.

jollybobs89 · 21/11/2019 17:54

Hey guys! Hope everyone bumping along well!!

Just wondering if anyone has experienced any chest pain?? I'm 22 weeks now is it just my rib cage expanding? It's when I breathe etc and it feels like I've pulled a muscle or something! I defo haven't pulled a muscle that's for sure haha xx

Jesskir89 · 21/11/2019 19:22

Evening all. I'm almost 23 weeks and felt babies foot today it was mad especially since I've only felt proper movements for the last 2 weeks. @jollybobs89 I haven't but things will be stretching a lot now and baby grows, if you're concerned I would ring your midwife xx

Dinosauraddict · 21/11/2019 19:25

@jollybobs89 I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I've had it too (currently 24 weeks). Found it worse when I'm sat down/leaning forward, like there's not enough space for everything to breathe/function normally.

Worriedmum97 · 21/11/2019 20:55

@jollybobs89 I’ve googled this a few times this week (will be 22 weeks tomorrow). I’m struggling with the pressure under my ribs (especially the left one and it really hurts after 2pm onwards every day. I have an office job and after lunch my back and the area under my ribs really hurt). Walking around and a bit of exercise seems to help ease the pain.

Piratepearl · 21/11/2019 22:10

@jollybobs89 I've been getting this too! I'm 25 weeks tomorrow and today I've had pain right across just where the bottom of your bra sits. Thought perhaps it was the bra being too tight so whipped that off but still didn't improve and then I though trapped wind but it doesn't feel like that either. It's mainly on the right so have convinced myself that it's something serious (good old anxiety/googling) but in my rational mind it's just stretching and baby running out of room...not sure where he is going to go for the next 15 weeks!!

Jesskir89 · 24/11/2019 17:04

Hi ladies, I hope everyone's well. Can anyone give me some advice please? I've been throwing up all day I literally can't keep anything down, even water. Do I need to ring maternity?

barnyb · 24/11/2019 17:46

@Jesskir89 hi honey sorry you've been so sick. if your feeling awful then can't help to call them. You have just had an unlucky morning sickness. Food poisoning or a bug? So much going around at the moment. Stay hydrated xxxx

barnyb · 24/11/2019 17:47

*May have had

Jesskir89 · 24/11/2019 19:32

@barnyb thanks love was just worried he's not getting any fluids. I'll just have a rest day tomorrow work will love me lol x

ineedanotherholiday · 25/11/2019 07:52

@Worriedmum97 @Piratepearl hi both, I'm 22+4 today, have midwife appointment next week and was going to ask about the rib/ back pain. It's been waking me up/making it so hard to sleep, I find a hot water bottle (warm) or bath eases. Mine is an ache under right rib, almost like a stitch and then general ache in top back but I can pinpoint to one area by bottom of bra strap which I think is level with the rib ache. I did wonder if it was maybe a pulled muscle. Also wondering if it could be everything Being pushed up!
Quite uncomfortable but I've got a feeling widwife if just going to say it's one of the joys of pregnancy Grin

MissPepper8 · 25/11/2019 19:33

@Jesskir89 hey hun, hope it's better for you now? I can't drink any flat type fluids, if I do try it's tiny sips or fizzy is good. They can either give fluids and anti sick stuff and then send you home or admit you if it doesn't stop. Think I've been admitted when I had 4 plus ketones and I was really out of it.

Hope it's stopped xx

MissPepper8 · 25/11/2019 19:55

Hope everyone is ok, I can't believe how quickly everything is going lately. 24 weeks this week and I saw my midwife last week, she was really happy with everything and I got to hear baby again.

I'm feeling really lousy, still vomiting but nausea is back bad, pretty grim and I don't know if its a second pregnancy thing but my belly/back and hips are really sore if I walk far or over do something and I'm not big enough in the bump to justify it (I'd love a big bump, i just look like I've eaten too much cake).

barnyb · 25/11/2019 20:23

@MissPepper8 ahh you look lovely ! I'm 26 weeks and iv been going on walks at the weekends whenever I can and my legs felt so painful after the walk. Felt like someone was pulling my legs from the sockets! Right in the groin ! ouchhhh! And pains down my legs at night. Really bad. This is my first pregnancy so didn't know what to expect at all! It's all fun and games isn't it! Sorry your having nausea at this stage! That's horrible xxx

MissPepper8 · 25/11/2019 21:08

@barnyb Ah thank you x I just realised you can see my Christmas shopping bag in the shot 😂

Oh my days I feel like an old lady, my legs aren't bad, is it going into your groin? This pain I get is all pelvis area and lower back. I was out for 2 hours on Saturday and I couldn't cope for the last half an hour walking up stairs. Walks or brisk walking I use to do I can't seem to handle so much anymore. Maybe try a microwave pillow for your legs, the preg pillows have helped me loads too x

Ah I've vomited all night tonight, i can't stop it's made me a bit miserable to be honest. I'm not hungry really I've just been trying to get some nutrition in me. x

Worriedmum97 · 25/11/2019 21:36

@ineedanotherholiday I would check this with your midwife. Pain under your ribs on the right hand side is one of the symptoms of preeclampsia or something else serious, can’t remember exactly, but it’s not the first symptom you’d see as far as I know. So if you’re feeling ok otherwise then should be fine, just double check maybe

Jesskir89 · 25/11/2019 22:07

@misspepper8 thank you for your message I've been much better today. Been able to keep fluid down and some food. Your bump is lovely. I'm 24 weeks on sat and still feel fat lol x

Dinosauraddict · 26/11/2019 07:06

@Jesskir89 how you feeling? Thanks

Jesskir89 · 26/11/2019 19:15

@dinosauraddict back to normal today I'm like a new woman lol thank you. How have you been? X

Jesskir89 · 26/11/2019 19:21

Also ladies do you all have names? We're stuck between Thomas and reggie, any opinions would be good x

Dinosauraddict · 26/11/2019 21:40

@Jesskir89 so glad you’re feeling better! We’ve had our name sorted for years Grin

MunchyMunchkin · 26/11/2019 22:38

@Jesskir89 I prefer Thomas from those two.
We have it down to 3 names but each prefer a different one. Which is annoying!
