Thanks girls. It will be one of the 2 just not sure which ds is called Tom and so us his dad but he said its annoying growing up with the same name so he's more to reggie atm

Jesskir89 · 26/11/2019 22:49

Dh sorry is called tom

doggeek · 26/11/2019 22:57

We've finally decided on a shortlist tonight, 3 boys and 3 girls names we both like. Got a little while yet to whittle it down further and decide which one best suits baby when they arrive in March

Jesskir89 · 27/11/2019 06:42

It's hard work isn't it! I wish we had more of a list to decide from...

Keyboard91 · 27/11/2019 07:37

Hey everyone, thought I’d check in.

Had a bit of an eventful 2 weeks with what they thought was preterm labour and dilation, but baby is still cooking so that’s a positive! 22+6 today.

How is everyone doing? I’ve read back a few pages so sorry for anything I’ve missed.

I’m feeling regular movement, although sometimes it’s stronger than the other. DF has felt him kick once so far. I have an anterior placenta and if the movement is low (which most of it is) then it’s hard to feel from the outside, it if he kicks upwards then it’s visible! Most active morning and evening, also when I eat. Lying propped up a little on my back usually helps if I’m worrying.

@Worriedmum97 I did read that is one of the symptoms but he's feeling fine otherwise. I have a 24 week check up with midwife next week though so was planning on asking then, thank you.

Dinosauraddict · 27/11/2019 15:40

@Jesskir89 I like Reggie. Would that be his full name or is it nn for Reginald or something?

Gosh @Keyboard91 I'm so sorry that must've been incredibly stressful. Definitely hoping for you to carry on cooking for a while longer yet! I also have an anterior placenta and my DH has felt the baby move a few times, but mostly only this week (at 25 weeks).

Jesskir89 · 27/11/2019 20:35

@keybpard91 glad to hear you're OK. Did you begin to lose your plug early? @dinosauraddict no not short just reggie then maybe Andrew Edward as middle name :)

MissPepper8 · 27/11/2019 23:12

@Jesskir89 I feel huge cause its not an obvious bump, I just look "cake" fat lol.. Thomas for me (DS middle name is Thomas 😊).

@Keyboard91 Jeez I hope you're OK hun that is really scary, hope everything continues to be normal now and no more scares xx.

Well had a shit day today, not myself and I've been really sick all last night, but I had to house sit with DS, was changing his nappy and I had a gush of fluid while I was kneeling. My first thought was oh shit wee? Then it came again and I tried to hold my bladder but more trickling came so I worried and thought blood. I ran to loo and my pad was clear really, so i had to goto labour ward. Long and short is my front waters are intact but they have to now scan me incase.

Really upset if I'm honest, same thing happened with DS at 38 weeks but they said I'd weed myself and sent me home. When I went back for a growth scan (not from them) 2 weeks later, he had very low fluid in there and I was quickly induced. I dunno what to think, there's a pressure when you need to wee and it doesn't gush, this just came in a big gush first. I'm just really upset, I flushed my pad too as I was so stressed out.

Jesskir89 · 27/11/2019 23:57

@misspepper8 I think you've got a lovely bump. My gosh I'm sorry you've had such a stressful day. They said your front waters are in tact but you have 2 sets don't you? When is your scan?

MissPepper8 · 28/11/2019 00:17

@Jesskir89 Thank you hun xx I think there's the stuff infront of baby to cushion head, then the waters behind? With DS my hind waters leaked and I didn't experience contractions with it so they assumed I'd weed myself then. The scan can reseal though apparently.

I've been told to keep pads on, watch for contractions and more leaks ring asap. I have to see my community midwife next week and they're going to ring me for a scan.

I just feel a bit down now, feel like I'm going insane lol.. Rather of peed myself tbh but I know I didn't.

MissPepper8 · 28/11/2019 00:17

Sack not scan*

Jesskir89 · 28/11/2019 06:49

@misspepper8 if you're not happy ask for a second opinion. I would tbh rather than wait until next week. Did you have ds early? Sending hugs x

Dinosauraddict · 28/11/2019 06:58

@Jesskir89 I like Reggie - have never met one in person before. Edward is very classic too so balances. I think Andrew will drop in popularity due to the current royal situation.

@MissPepper8 how many weeks are you? Did they give any indication of when they'll get you in for scan? Sounds incredibly scary, but where you have had DS1, be confident that you know what you're talking about and know your body better than they do! Thanks

Keyboard91 · 28/11/2019 09:23

@Dinosauraddict thank you. I’ve got 1 more week until I’m 24 weeks and in my head at that point he has a chance if he does decide to come early. But very much hoping I don’t see him till at LEAST late Feb when I’ll be closer to 36 weeks!

@Jesskir89 yes lost my plug in the early hours (it’s GROSS) but it wasn’t bloody. Events kicked off early afternoon.

@MissPepper8 thank you, and sorry you’ve had a tough time too! Do ask for a 2nd opinion from triage, make sure you impress it happened in your last pregnancy like that, and that you are not comfortable with the situation. They can scan you in MAU quite quickly (I had 3 in 18 hours!) to check fluid levels. Can also swab you as that will tell you/them if it’s waters or not. Sending gentle hugs Flowers

@Keyboard91 definitely counting down until the viability day at 24 weeks then - not long for you to go! My DH was actually born 10 weeks early and whilst small and in NICU for a while, he's never had any health issues at all and no-one would ever know!

MissPepper8 · 28/11/2019 17:24

Thanks ladies xx

@Jesskir89 My only Labour ward now is that one, they closed my Labour ward. Tbh it was hell.. They had 2 triage rooms, I had to go in a delivery room. I rang my mw she's seeing me next week, she knows how nervous I was and I see my consultant the week after.

@Dinosauraddict I'm only 24! Scary I did panic a bit. The consultant said same thing the mw did with DS1 that it looked intact at front ect, but the mw I had with me last night pushed for the scan as she saw how anxious I was. I'm doubting myself if I did, I feel so stupid but I literally was kneeling on the floor and it just gushed out, thought I was bleeding.

@Keyboard91 I'm glad everything's ok with you, it's not nice, I was petried so I hope baby holds on a bit more longer for you if there's any more scares x Sounds like your hospital is much better than mine lol.. They couldn't give me a date, said as the hospital departments have been closed they'd sent letter ASAP. They're really understaffed, limited rooms, 2 triage rooms. I flushed my pad :( I was so stressed, my little boy was calling me as he's been sick. I quickly changed and ran to him and I realised as I dropped it in the loo what I had done. I didn't get seen to 2hrs later then as I had to wait too. Nightmare of a day.

Jesskir89 · 28/11/2019 19:12

@dinosauraddict thank you and yes agree with Andrew but dh was really close to his grandad and really wants it in. @keyboard91 glad everything's OK. @misspepper8 I would honestly say you're not happy and want to be checked again for your own sanity x

Dinosauraddict · 28/11/2019 19:34

@Jesskir89 that's lovely. Our baby will have my grandfather's name as one of his middle names too! Grin

Jesskir89 · 28/11/2019 20:33

@dinosauraddict thank you and Edward was my grandad and also my brothers name so they're sentimental. Think it prob will be reggie for his first name. It's hard isn't it as they will have that name for life. Do you know jemstar is pregnant with twins? And Amymaria is pregnant and doom kitty and marmite are pregnant after ivf :)

sep30 · 29/11/2019 08:22

@Jesskir89 @Jesskir89 I love Reggie, great choice!! X

Dinosauraddict · 29/11/2019 08:48

Omg @Jesskir89 no I didn't know about those updates, thank you! So so pleased for them all!!! GrinGrinGrin

Jesskir89 · 29/11/2019 12:06

@sep30 thank you :) @dinosauraddict I know great news :)

Dinosauraddict · 30/11/2019 06:12

Worrying couple days in my world here - some bleeding and reduced movements over 2 days meant I ended up getting checked over tonight at hospital. Baby is absolutely fine, although my BP was raised and am v dehydrated. So glad to feel him moving again though, I cried with relief!

Jesskir89 · 30/11/2019 14:09

@dinosauraddict I'm sorry to hear you've gone through this but so glad everything's OK. Did they say what the bleeding was x
