Feel free to state how far you are/EDD in your first post here so we have a reminder of who is where :)

@Jesskir89 I actually meant stay *on them in my previous post. I always found metformin quite nasty for the first few weeks with the side effects and wouldn't want to go through that again unnecessarily. I know some people find metformin does help their other PCOS symptoms though too. I find it a tiny bit easier to keep weight under control. And a tiny bit less hairy Blush

Jesskir89 · 06/12/2019 17:31

@dinosauraddict I hear you! Although they do give you a Funny belly. So excited today was the first time others could properly feel him kick dh just felt it now :)

Dinosauraddict · 07/12/2019 06:57

Aww that's lovely @Jesskir89 !! Grin

maria94 · 07/12/2019 15:14

What's everyone's opinions on painting while pregnant? I've read that it's ok if it's water based paint (which we have) and the room is well ventilated but I'm still a bit worried! Is it safe?

Dinosauraddict · 07/12/2019 23:13

If water based and well ventilated you're absolutely fine! Smile Best avoided generally in first trimester where possible though, but we're a lot further than that now!

maria94 · 08/12/2019 10:18

@Dinosauraddict thank you!

MissPepper8 · 08/12/2019 19:42

@maria94 I did it at 35 weeks lol.. My days it was hard work in the summer but I did a whole room by myself (I did do another 3 rooms after that too haha, nesting I guess).

I made sure I took breaks from the room, all windows wide open and fume free paint ect. I must of been nuts.

MissPepper8 · 08/12/2019 19:47

Hope everyone's well! We've had flu again. DC1 brought home the best flu (that we've had in a while) from nursery, with a really nasty cough.

I had a 4d scan today, I'm so happy we got to see baby. My parents came but MIL couldn't come as they changed it last minute. We had some lovely images and videos and we got freebie Mam stuff too.

Seems more real again 😊

maria94 · 08/12/2019 20:03

@MissPepper8 gosh where did you find the energy to do that?! I'm getting my partner to do it all haha!

MissPepper8 · 08/12/2019 21:45

@maria94 Take advantage x DH will do DIY but he's crap at actually getting to it, I think I got fed up of waiting to decorate nursery so I did it. I got a huge wave of energy towards the end.

I did it in two days as my main wall needed a second coat so wasn't too bad. Nesting made me mad I think lol.

Can't see me doing it this time, but then I've said to my mum can you look after DS one weekend so I can paint my hall and bathroom last week so who knows lol x

barnyb · 08/12/2019 21:45

Hey guys! Has anyone had the glucose test yet? Iv got mine tomorrow morning so now can't eat anything for 12 hours prior and then they said I can't eat anything for two hours when I'm there! I'm actually panicking because I'm going through a really hungry phase the last two days and I'm hungry about 30 mins after I eat and I feel super sick in the morning until I have breakfast! Ahhh how will I cope! I'm also really hungry right now! Hellllllpppppp 🥴😬😩

Jesskir89 · 09/12/2019 06:44

@barnyb let us know how you get on. Mines on 19th at 10am so I will struggle too my appetite is huge atm

Dinosauraddict · 09/12/2019 09:15

Good luck today @barnyb !

barnyb · 09/12/2019 09:36

Thanks ladies! Iv just had the bloods which was 3 tubes and then this really yucky orange squash type drink! Didn’t taste bad but it was really thick and very sweet. Now I have to wait for 2 hours to have 1 more tube taken. Still no food but water is fine xxxx

Jesskir89 · 09/12/2019 12:16

Hope it didn't drag for you. I'll be sure to take magazine's and a snack for after x

Dinosauraddict · 09/12/2019 14:38

How was the end of the test @barnyb ? Will you get results tomorrow if there's an issue?

Is anyone else suffering with insomnia? I get off to sleep fine each night but then wake up (wide awake) at silly o clock and that's it... Is this just my body preparing me for life with a new born?

barnyb · 09/12/2019 15:02

@Dinosauraddict yes all good. I had one more blood test and then I was allowed to go ! And eat! Phew! Baby was moving around loads all morning too! Think she moves lots when I’m hungry!
Also yes they won’t contact me if nothing is wrong. Midwife will contact if anything comes up!

Also yes my sleep is a mess at the moment. I wake up all night long! If it’s not insomnia it’s because I need a wee! Or because my legs are aching! It’s a right pain isn’t it! Xxxx

Jesskir89 · 09/12/2019 16:43

@barnyb glad it went well and @dinosauraddict yes and I'm up 3 times for a wee!

whiskersonkittenss · 10/12/2019 16:01

Hi all
Had my 27 week growth scan yesterday and my baby is very big! Also had my consultant appt where he agreed to my ELCS and I signed the consent forms. It all seems a bit more real now.

Anyone struggling with sleep and to get comfy id really recommend the purflo pregnancy pillow. I picked one up from the baby show last week and ordered another on Amazon for when I stay at my boyfriends parents house. So so comfy.

Dinosauraddict · 10/12/2019 16:53

@barnyb are we assuming now that no news is good news?

@whiskersonkittenss why are you going for a c section if you don't mind me asking?

barnyb · 10/12/2019 17:03

@Dinosauraddict I haven’t heard anything at all! They said can be up to 2 days. But I’m thinking it’s all ok xxxx 🤞🏼

Jesskir89 · 10/12/2019 17:30

@barnyb fingers crossed for you. @whiskersonkittenss how big is baby if you don't mind? I've not got a growth scan until 29 weeks. How do you feel about having a section? Thank you for the pillow tip I've tried 3 different ones so far...

Jesskir89 · 10/12/2019 17:31

@dinosauraddict when we reach 1000 would you mind setting up a new thread please? I'm such a technophobe...

whiskersonkittenss · 10/12/2019 17:41

Baby is measuring around 4 weeks ahead of his age and around 1 pound heavier than he should be at 27+5!

I'm going for a section because I have slipped discs and sciatica. Sometimes going to the toilet is too much so pushing a baby out is definitely not happening for me.

@jesskir89
@Dinosauraddict

Anyone planning on a 4d scan? I'm thinking about booking in for the end of December before he gets so big we can't see his face.

Dinosauraddict · 10/12/2019 18:31

@barnyb - great news, well done!!

@Jesskir89 - yes of course I will

@whiskersonkittenss - wow that's a huge ahead of time growth! I'd recommend you have the 4d scan ASAP. Ours was fab but our clinic recommends you have it done between weeks 26 and 28 for clearest results, and no later than week 32 (measurement wise you're cutting it close)!
