Don't panic, girl! Being a mom is overwhelming!!
I'm also having my first baby, but luckily I've got a lot of practice since I have 4 nieces and nephews but it's very different when it's our own, anyway.
My advice to you is get organised! Make lists and then tackle each at a time.
I'm trying to attach my buying list for you, but the site doesn't allow me, so if you or anyone else wants the list, leave your email that I can send directly. This list is a compilation of what a few websites say plus what some friends told me to buy and other things that I found that I'd like to have, anyway. Hope it helps.
Everything I buy I put on the spreadsheet, so I can control what I have and what I still need to get.
For clothes, I'm buying a lot of things in TKMaxx and H&M. M&S also has many cute things with good prices.
For stroller, I'd say to you to set a budget first. Within that budget see what's available and compare the models. My option is for one with a pram but that can also attach a car seat and then will carry a toddler until around 3 years old. Just think of what are your needs.
About nappies, I'd say to first decide if you want to do disposable or not.
I'm still attached with the disposable ones, but I'm looking for biodegradables. My sisters always used and loved Pampers. I'm going for Kit and Kik because they're biodegradable and they have a subscription, that allow me not to have many packages stored in the house, since I don't have much space.
Another tip is to do some online shopping other than going to the shops. I went to the shops to see some stuff, came back and bought them online, because it's easier for you to understand your needs, you can check your lists, sizes and try for better prices with coupons.
And you can always ask here what other moms are buying of a specific thing.
Calm down, you can do it!
