Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

@blondie87

It certainly is a hard lesson to learn! I found people to be incredibly supportive though and some had even guessed anyway.
As for feeling coldy- me too! Been sneezing a fair bit and stuffy nose in the morning when I wake up. Not sure if baby related or hayfever - prob both! 🤣

pikachu1 · 04/07/2019 07:15

@blondie87

Also, I certainly feel different this time symptom-wise so I'm taking that as a positive sign!

mangobutter · 04/07/2019 11:37

@pikachu1 yes it's a rollercoaster!

Sorry to those of you who've suffered loss, I've been there and this part in particular is so nerve wracking. Thinking of you all!

My only symptom other than sore boobs right now is bloating, but it's not particularly bad. I'm also craving cheese Hmm

Is anyone else still bf an older child? Ds is 3.5 and still feeds at night/first thing, I've heard from friends that it's really painful during pregnancy and that they felt sick with it and had to stop but so far there's no more pain than I had during periods when I had them! I will be weaning him before baby arrives but it's a nice bonding thing especially as I only see him at bedtime and in the morning 5 days a week.

Incidentally, should we start a thread with stats? If I start you can copy and paste and add yours, so we end up with a list?

Rightnow1245 · 04/07/2019 13:56

mangobutter I’m still feeding my little boy who is 2 in August.
I haven’t had any pain feeding him yet and will probably carry on all through my pregnancy but will see how it goes.
My DH thinks it a good idea to stop before baby comes but I don’t mind feeding both 😬

mangobutter · 04/07/2019 14:06

@Rightnow1245 definitely for it if it works for you! I'm hoping my boy will be old enough at 4 that it'll become the baby's thing and not his any more but fully anticipate some jealousy...

Anyone booking an early scan. I'm thinking of getting one for 8/9 weeks if all goes well. My last two MCs were around 5 weeks so right now I'm just a bag of anxiety

Rightnow1245 · 04/07/2019 15:36

mangobutter I think I would do the same in your boat! Your DS is older so I guess now may be a good time 😊
Frillyfarmer I want to do a early scan but I can’t find a cheap one near where near us 😬 I did last time with our son and it was great reassurance 😊

@Rightnow1245 @Frillyfarmer I've booked an early scan for 6 weeks at a place called Peek-a-baby and it costs £45 which I thought was really reasonable! They have offices in London or Birmingham if you're nearby, but I'm sure there are others!

My GP actually recommended them as she said I might have to wait until 8 weeks on the NHS and it would be worth me checking sooner!

AuroraMJ Thanks I’ll Defo check it out im in London so hopefully they have a good offer there. Is there a reason why you have been told to have an early scan?

mangobutter · 04/07/2019 17:19

Welcome @Ginandgingers92!

I'm feeling very old here. Not used to being the oldest in a group Grin

MunchyMunchkin · 04/07/2019 17:21

@Frillyfarmer I would wait till 8 weeks for a scan. Much more to see at that gestation.
At 6 weeks there is a chance you might not see a heartbeat which causes more anxiety.

Ginandgingers92 · 04/07/2019 17:28

I'm definitely having a private early scan again this time around, my anxiety goes through the roof with these things 😩
Ps sorry for my makeup caked nails in the pic 🤢

@TimeIhadaNameChange I'm 26 and little boy is 15 months xx :)

AuroraMJ · 04/07/2019 18:04

@Rightnow1245 Yeah, my endometriosis destroyed one of my Fallopian tubes so they told me when I had my surgery that if I ever get pregnant, I'm at a higher risk of ectopic and need early scan.

mangobutter · 04/07/2019 18:13

Woohoo! (sorry @TimeIhadaNameChange Wink )
