Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

Hi ladies,

Little bit concerned as I've just been to the toilet and notice a few spots of blood when I wipe (sorry if tmi)

It looks more of a brownish tone and I highly doubt it's implantation bleeding as I should be well past that now.

I'm at a higher risk of ectopic so a little concerned. I know some spotting can be normal early pregnancy but I'm freaking out a bit. Should I wait and see if it gets heavier? Should I phone GP?

Abi58 · 05/07/2019 14:25

@AuroraMJ I'm not able to help unfortunately but all I can say is 🤞🏻 for you and if you're worried it's best to call your dr (better safe than sorry)
Bleeding in early pregnancy can be normal but it's always best to get it checked especially if you're at risk

Ginandgingers92 · 05/07/2019 14:55

@AuroraMJ , I would contact your GP, just to be on the safe side xx

Starlight39 · 05/07/2019 15:46

@AuroraMJ if it's brownish with no cramping then that's the best scenario and lots of women do get a bit of spotting when everything is OK. I did with my previous pregnancy (after the time it would be implantation) and all was totally fine - I had a textbook pregnancy after that. Good idea to see the doc anyway though, just to get it logged. Hope you're OK Flowers.

I'm getting a bit of brown bleeding this time around again but with cramping so am a bit concerned, I saw the doc and she checked for a UTI and felt my stomach but said they don't scan till 7 weeks (this maybe just be my area) so to just come back if anything gets worse and that all you can do is wait. I'm glad I went though just for the reassurance I'm doing the right things (ie nothing!) and to get it noted down etc.

@AuroraMJ I'd contact your GP, midwife. Fingers crossed all ok for you. Best to get these things checked. Put your mind at rest x

RoRosmama · 05/07/2019 17:16

Hi everyone,
Just want to ask what people's symptoms are?
I'll be 6 weeks on Monday and currently really sore and heavy boobs, very tired. Nausea has seemed to get better. I also have a very bad phlegmy cough 😩 maybe due to hay fever but not sure.

Frillyfarmer · 05/07/2019 17:29

@RoRosmama I've had mild nausea this week - not enough to be sick but enough to make me gag. I'm also getting quite a lot of light headedness when I stand up or move quickly.

I haven't got very sore boobs but my consultant said you often don't in subsequent pregnancies. I'm still knickers checking like mad and I'm still doing a couple of tests a week because I've had a couple of MCs and it's made me very anxious. Im 6 weeks on Tuesday and these early days seem to be dragging. Off on holiday tomorrow so hope it passes the time!

SweetChillis · 05/07/2019 18:03

@RoRosmama I'm 5 weeks Sunday. Have very mild cramping, sore nipples with boobs aching by the time I go to bed, back pain, bloating and I seem to have developed nausea when I drive to work in the mornings (like travel sickness). Actually, now I've written it down it seems quite a long list Confused

AuroraMJ · 05/07/2019 18:11

Thanks for all your messages.

Just been seen by GP and they tested my urine and said there was a small trace of blood. The EPAU is going to call me tomorrow morning to book me in for a scan.

Just got to wait and hope for the best. Still no cramps or heavier bleeding so trying hard to stay positive.

RoRosmama · 05/07/2019 18:45

It's good to hear everyone else's symptoms. Makes you feel less alone!
Worried my nausea has got better, never thought I'd hear myself that 😂
I am seriously bloated though I look about 6 months it's actually quite embarrassing. Is this normal? This will be my second child and I've heard second time around you can gain weight faster but surely not at 6 weeks???!!!
@AuroraMJ. I have everything crossed for you. Let us know how you get on x

Roisin86 · 05/07/2019 18:45

@AuroraMJ
Hey pet, I would contact your early pregnancy unit and book in for a scan to make sure all is alright. (If you haven't already and I missed that update). I had discharge that was browny all week in October 2018. All my googling said it was normal but my midwife was alarmed at my appointment and arranged a scan. The day before the scan it was too late and I had already started properly miscarrying at 10 weeks gestation. I was naive and shouldn't have listened to google for answers. Always check with an expert when it comes to any strange discharge in pregnancy even without cramping. (Is my advise from personal experience) Fingers crossed for you xxx

AuroraMJ · 05/07/2019 19:29

@Roisin86 Thanks for the concern and sorry for your previous loss 😔❤️ The EPAU is calling me in the morning to get me in for a scan so keeping my fingers crossed.

This may seem really stupid but I had a pregnancy test lying around and decided to take it. I don't know what I was expecting, in all honesty. The line is the darkest I've seen it though and this is about my 20th wee of the day (that's my very early symptom 🙈)

MunchyMunchkin · 05/07/2019 19:50

Glad to see I’m not the only one still POAS. Think I’ve done 8 or so in a week!

Roisin86 · 05/07/2019 20:36

@AuroraMJ
That is a strong positive! I think you'll be fine you know.
I had to take tests for about two weeks post miscarriage until I got a negative test, but they were of course getting weaker with intensity.
Good luck, I've a good feeling you and your baby will be ok! Xxx

AuroraMJ · 05/07/2019 20:42

@MunchyMunchkin It's so addictive, isn't it?! I don't have anymore now so just going to wait until the scan.

@Roisin86 Thanks! It made me feel a little better seeing it so strong, but I just need this scan now to confirm it isn't ectopic and I'll feel a lot more positive! Thanks for all your support and belief ❤️ xx

Frillyfarmer · 05/07/2019 21:13

@Roisin86 I'm embarrassingly bloated as well - I avoided weigh in at slimming world yesterday because I look at least four months preggers 😂

Roisin86 · 05/07/2019 21:31

@Frillyfarmer hahaha
I actually bought a maternity top in new look sale yesterday because I just want some stretch and comfort!

GingerRogers84 · 05/07/2019 23:16

No symptoms last pregnancy but loads this time.
Sudden light acne on my cheeks, tiredness, tingly boobs and all the weeing!

CsMumma · 06/07/2019 08:27

Hey ladies how are you all feeling today? I'm not having much symptoms yet, but I remember they didn't start with me till about week 6 with my dd. So far I've got very sore boobs, a little bit more tired and just can't stop sneezing and feeling that my nose is all blocked!

mommato3 · 06/07/2019 11:06

Hi everyone. Didn't realise this was here until I saw it mentioned in the pregnancy group.

I'll cautiously join if that's ok. Got my bfp at 9dpo, currently 4 weeks today. Nervous as hell after a mc in Feb but baby passed at 6/7 weeks (happened in 2000 too but was mmc)

Symptoms so far are the horrid metallic taste. Craving banana milkshake, maccies dill pickles and fruity things! Very emotional. And my boobs feel like watermelons and are quite sore. Chocolate makes me feel sick! Hoping for a rainbow baby to bring home. EDD 14th March

I'm also a slimming world member so hoping to keep weight gain to a minimum!!!!!

Hi, can I join too.

Congratulations to everyone.

I got my bfp yesterday. Already have 1 DD (2.5) only tested because I got out of breath walking up the stairs. Looks like I'll be due around March 15th.

Today my back is so sore so I think the 12 weeks of morning sickness is probably just around the corner.
