Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

@Vixta13 they told me that whilst there is spotting cramping is normal as it's pushing the blood out.

Ginandgingers92 · 08/08/2019 18:42

Anyone else on here already got a toddler? Mine is 17m and I feel like just by being normal Mummy I'm doing way too much, considering I'm pregnant! Picking him up, chasing after him, bending down, rolling around in soft play. All of it! But I guess it can't be avoided, right?

Ginandgingers92 · 08/08/2019 18:43

@Vixta13 best of luck for your scan tomorrow, please let us know how it goes xxx 🍀

RoRosmama · 08/08/2019 21:37

@Ginandgingers92 I do! My DD is 2.5 and she is heavy! I pick her up quite a lot, putting her in car seat, etc. It is so hard to avoid! Try not to worry about it though. I'm not overly concerned about it.

Babamamma · 09/08/2019 11:18

Is anyone else going between feeling sick and ravenous continuously? I haven’t had it this bad on previous pregnancies and I am slightly worried it’s resulting in me snacking A LOT. I would love to tell you it’s on healthy things like nuts and fruit but sadly that’s not the case - mainly in cracker/biscuit form!
@Ginandgingers92 yes i am also running around after my two and mainly worried about my 2 year old boy who runs everywhere (and is a bit of a bulldozer) knocking into my stomach by mistake!

Vixta13 · 09/08/2019 12:50

Hi everyone, so I just got back from my scan and she thinks my dates are out and I'm less than 7 weeks as we couldn't see embryo properly just a hint of a possible fetal pole and no heartbeat as still too early.
My gestational sac has more than doubled in size since last week which she said is good and she feels positive about it assuming dates are earlier. I have another scan in 2 weeks so will know for sure how it's all progressing. Has anyone else had similar where the dates are out as that's the hope I'm hanging onto atm. This waiting is the worst. I can't help feeling that something isn't right but really have to stay positive until I'm told otherwise. Xx

maybenextmonth · 10/08/2019 08:17

Hi @Vixta13, sorry your scan wasn't exactly what you wanted but Its really positive that the sonographer was hopeful that it seems to be progressing, hopefully it is just a case of incorrect dates etc and you'll find out in two weeks that all is fine. You might get more answers from the other March thread. I don't think I've seen you on there? It's called 'March Babies #2' and it's on the pregnancy board. There are some ladies having similar timing issues as you who might be able to help reassure you. I'm really hopeful for you!

maybenextmonth · 10/08/2019 08:19

@Babamamma I'm the same, well it's actually eased now, but last week more so, I felt so sick and had to eat ALL the time. I was snacking on crisps and twiglets soooo much as it's all I really wanted, yet come to meal times the thought of dinner made me feel sick! I feel better this week though and am trying to control snacking again.

CDell · 12/08/2019 09:06

Hi @Vixta13, sorry to hear that the scan didn't go quite as hoped but definitely positive news that the sonographer is feeling positive and reassuring that things have grown since last week. It's so tough waiting but fingers crossed for you xx

MumApr18 · 14/08/2019 07:55

Hand hold today ladies - I've been fairly quiet on here as I just have this "feeling" that everything isn't quite right. Finally have an early scan today (10+5) at 12. Still busy getting DS out the door for nursery but will be home alone soon worrying!

AlphaLemon · 14/08/2019 08:21

Hi @MumApr18 what makes you think that? Could it just be a bit of worry that would be made better by chatting to someone? I had bad cramps the other day, but my midwife was really reassuring over the phone.

I’m currently signed off with pneumonia - I’m flipping gutted as I am just starting to feel better after all the morning sickness!

MumApr18 · 14/08/2019 08:51

@AlphaLemon Yeah, I've had a chat with the midwife (which was what caused them to book the NHS scan). I know I'm worrying because 3 people in my immediate family have passed away in the last year. It's probably unreasonable as, luckily, I haven't had many cramps or spotting (like I had with my first) but I'm just still so worried. Probably being completely unreasonable!

AlphaLemon · 14/08/2019 13:30

Ah bless you, I’m sorry to hear that! When bad things happen, you become primed to expect more. I hope it’s ok. Let us know how it goes xx

Ginandgingers92 · 14/08/2019 15:24

Best of luck @MumApr18 , let us know how the scan goes 🍀🍀🍀

MumApr18 · 14/08/2019 15:47

Phew! Everything ok. Baby measuring pretty much to the day, and saw a lovely little heartbeat and a very wriggly jellybean!

Can't believe I've been so lucky, it really is a miracle.

Ginandgingers92 · 14/08/2019 16:40

Fabulous news 🤗🤗😍😍
And not too long until you see him/her again at your 12 week!

Ginandgingers92 · 15/08/2019 14:53

Anyone's symptoms subsiding?...
I'm 9+6 today and whilst I'm still feel a bit sick, the stretching cramps I had have all but disappeared and no sore boobs anymore.. 🤔 not sure if anything to be concerned about?
Still got another 3 weeks until my scan and still nothing from the midwives, although they usually like to see you before 10 weeks?

So annoying, if I had my notes and knew who to call I'd be having a conversation with one of them at the mo 😩

maybenextmonth · 15/08/2019 16:51

@Ginandgingers92 I had this same worry the weekend just gone, I just felt better. My boobs hardly hurt anymore (am 10+3 now) and sickness is a lot milder than it was. I had a scan today and all is good so I hope that reassures you a little. The time waiting for a scan is awful. Have you had one yet at all?
I'm surprised you've not seen a midwife yet - I saw one at exactly 8 weeks and have my 12 week one through for 31st - even though ill be almost 13 weeks by then.

Ginandgingers92 · 15/08/2019 18:22

So I had a scan at 7+4 and everything was good, but honestly, I'm such an anxious person that I'd have one every week if I could. Just wouldn't be able to justify another £70 to my husband, who thinks I worry way too much already.
I know, I phoned the midwives and apparently I referred really early (5 weeks) so obvs wasn't priority, but it seems that 5 weeks later I'm still not! I don't know if it's because it's my second, but that shouldn't make a difference. We moved since my son was born, so hopefully it's not an indicator of the midwifery care as a whole around here 🤔

maybenextmonth · 16/08/2019 07:42

@Ginandgingers92 I'm exactly the same, I had one at 8+2 and 10+3. So I know how you're feeling. In some ways I think it's better to just have a scan. It's difficult if your husband doesn't agree but if you think it will genuinely help you and bridge the gap until your 12 week one then I say it's worth it.
Yeah fingers crossed it's not just a sign of the care you will get. Give them a call and find out.

Ginandgingers92 · 16/08/2019 08:15

Its not so much that he doesn't agree, he just thinks I worry too much for no reason (which is mostly true, to be honest!). I'm now toying with just ringing a midwife and saying how I feel (but last time when I mentioned my anxiety i was treated with some disdain) or booking a private scan; I've found somewhere in the next town along from me which is £45. I've got next Monday and Tuesday off so could go in then.
Thoughts everyone?!

Ginandgingers92 · 16/08/2019 08:17

😯 there's a slot tomorrow morning!

Ginandgingers92 · 16/08/2019 08:24

I booked it 🙈🙈

Disney1010 · 16/08/2019 12:26

@ginandgingers92 how exciting! I have a private scan tomorrow morning which I'm so excited for!

maybenextmonth · 16/08/2019 13:21

@Ginandgingers92 absolutely!! I'm glad you've booked one - it sounds like it's the reassurance that you need. Plus £45 is really good! Let us know how it goes! How are your symptoms today? I find mine change daily.

@Disney1010 so exciting! I had one yesterday. It's so amazing. How far along are you?
