Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

@Starlight39 got to be specific if you’ve any medical friends or family. That’s the main one you can’t drink one!
I can’t use that excuse - as a medic it’s a dead give away that you’re pregnant!

MunchyMunchkin · 28/06/2019 18:43

Couldnt wait till tomorrow so did a FRER on w 4ish hour hold. Blazing positive that came up very quickly!
Better tell DH I suppose.

MumApr18 · 28/06/2019 18:46

Yay! Congratulations @MunchyMunchkin!! How are you going to tell DH?

MunchyMunchkin · 28/06/2019 19:10

@MumApr18 I’m just going to show him once he finishes the little ones bedtime. Although I can hear her crying so he may not be in the best mood.

MumApr18 · 28/06/2019 19:18

@MunchyMunchkin eeeek good luck, you will cheer him right up!

ElleyBear13 · 28/06/2019 22:52

Hey may I join? I got a clear blue 2-3 weeks this morning very unexpected and a surprise. Looking forward to chatting to you all x

MunchyMunchkin · 29/06/2019 07:59

Congrats @ElleyBear13

satsumasaturday · 29/06/2019 14:38

Hi all, I'm tentatively joining after an early MC last month. I got my bfp today on a frer. I told myself that if I got another bfp I wouldn't join these groups for a while, but now I have it I can't resist. Sorry to hear others here have suffered losses, fingers crossed for everyone this month.

I have no symptoms whatsoever, AF is due today. Not sure on lmp as last month was MC but fertility friend has my due date as 9th March. 😀

RoRosmama · 30/06/2019 20:54

Hello all!
Please may I join. I have my BFP yay!! Although only 5 weeks so it's all very nerve wrecking. Had lots of miscarriages before DD and two chemicals after so happy this baby sticks!!
Sticky baby dust to all. Good to see you both on here @Abi58 @AcesHigh666 xx

Starlight39 · 01/07/2019 09:29

Congratulations @MunchyMunchkin, did you tell your DH? I drove when we went out for dinner in the end (luckily we went far enough to drive to) and nobody questioned my non-drinking but I'm keeping the tooth infection in reserve Grin. The couple we went out with are having a few issues so I think they were preoccupied with that anyway.

Congratulations also @ElleyBear13, @satsumasaturday and @RoRosmama! Sticky vibes to everyone.

I told DP at the weekend and he is so thrilled. At first he was in such a daze with it, he kept wandering around not knowing what he was doing haha. He has been so lovely and attentive which is helping loads as my ex was awful when I was pregnant with DS (he was having an affair before I got pregnant).

MumApr18 · 01/07/2019 09:30

Congratulations to all the new joiners!!
How is everyone feeling? I had a fairly straightforward pregnancy last time and this time, so far, is similar. Just very tired, no sickness or anything yet :)

MunchyMunchkin · 01/07/2019 09:48

@Starlight39 he seemed fairly chilled out about it which is good!
I drank the Gordon’s alcohol free g&t on sat when mum and sister were here. Original plan was out for cocktails but luckily managed to change to drinks in my garden.
No one noticed. The Gordon’s stuff if nice enough but mostly tastes of lime. Not sure it’s worth the money.

I am exhausted. Went to bed at 9.30 last night which is very unusual for me.

MumApr18 · 01/07/2019 09:55

@MunchyMunchkin - me too at 9.30! Feel much better for the early night though.

cardboard33 · 01/07/2019 11:16

Just popping in from the March 19 babies thread to say congrats! I can't believe it was a whole year ago that some of the early birds of the thread were finding out they were pregnant. I wasn't due until the end of March but he was actually one of the first to be born... this time next year you will hopefully all have a 3-4 month old in your arms! Flowers

Frillyfarmer · 01/07/2019 14:20

@MunchyMunchkin I've just bought the gin free G&T with grapefruit - I hope it's not a total flop.

I did find with my first pregnancy that alcohol free alcohol was largely rubbish. I'm quite a booze hound so seedlip and dealcoholised wine just didn't do it for me. I did get into the erdinger isotonic and some of the alcohol free lathers, but mostly went for a weak larger shandy if we were out!

I'm trying to stick to slimming world at the moment so that's my excuse for not drinking. I've put on 8lbs from my two MCs this year and whilst I will obviously put weight on later on, I'm trying to limit my weight gain this time round!

blondie87 · 01/07/2019 14:42

Thanks @cardboard33! Hope you’re having a lovely first few months!

MunchyMunchkin · 01/07/2019 14:46

@Frillyfarmer mostly easier to go without I think. I had the odd unit in my last full term pregnancy and may well do this time.

Good luck with slimming world.
I’m trying to stay low carb but that may be tricky when the sickness hits.

anotherexhaustedpigeon · 01/07/2019 16:05

Hello! Tentatively joining after getting BFP at the weekend. Going to phone midwife now, got a private scan booked for NEXT WEEK how am I supposed to wait that long?!! This will be my second, but had mc before 1st baby hence private scan/nervous breakdown. How's everyone feeling?

ElleyBear13 · 01/07/2019 20:18

Hey thanks for the warm welcome I'm also a mum from the March 18 antenatalgroup on here and ive kept in touch with the mums from there so Im hoping we can make some friends again too they were very much needed throughout my sons pregnancy and first + year. has everyone got their first midwife appointments booked? What days have you got booked in? Has anyone got any signs or symptoms?

A tad jealous of your early scan exhausted pigeon - I had early scans with both my boys due to mcs - it's awful isnt it? I've not booked an early scan this time hoping for a "nice normal" pregnancy birth and after birth fingers crossed!

Has anyone taken any more tests?

blondie87 · 01/07/2019 21:02

Are you on baby #3 too @elleybear13?

RoRosmama · 01/07/2019 21:18

Hi everyone and thank you for welcoming me!!
I am currently 5 weeks. I have a DD so this will be baby No2 before my DD I had 4 miscarriages so I am super nervous right now. Also had 2 chemicals after DD. I have also booked myself in for a private early scan when I'll be 7 weeks and 5 days.
I am feeling huge already, extremely exhausted, nauseas and constantly hungry!!
Sticky baby dust to us all!!

MunchyMunchkin · 01/07/2019 21:19

@ElleyBear13
I took another test at work today and it came up nice and quick very dark. Need to stop POAS really!

Will aim for midwife around 8 weeks but haven’t booked yet.

I’m lucky as I work in healthcare and one of my colleagues will scan me at work. So aiming for that two weeks on Thursday when I should be around 6+4.

Hello everyone!

Got my BFP on Friday just gone. I've estimated due date at 5th March although I wasn't actually watching dates too closely as we weren't planning on trying until October! But we were on holiday and relaxed and got carried away 🤣

Have tried before with a previous partner in 2016, got pregnant straight away but had a MC at 7 1/2 weeks. We tried again for 5 or 6 months before eventually breaking up but I never got pregnant again.

I was worried it would be difficult this time but thankfully luck was on our side! Am nervous but trying to keep calm and stress-free after what happened before. I think I will feel much better after I'm at 8 weeks! I hope so anyway!

Anyway, nice to meet everyone!

blondie87 · 01/07/2019 21:50

Congratulations to all the new BFPs! We have the same due date @pikachu1!

pikachu1 · 01/07/2019 21:52

@blondie87

Yay! Due date buddies! 🤣 Nice to meet you!
