Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Great news @barnyb 😊 what a good start to the weekend.

I have a question and I think I'm overthinking things so please set me straight! We were meant to be having family members visit tomorrow (including toddler) but they've just asked if we can come to them instead as toddler has come home from nursery with a fever. It's a long drive which I already thought was far for them (over two hours each way) and so had always said we could go to them as we usually do, but they wanted to visit us.

Toddler has come home from nursery ill and so they've asked if we can go to them instead. Immediate answer was of course that's no problem, followed up with checking they didn't just want to postpone due to ill toddler. However (and this is the overthinking part) now I'm wondering if I should be visiting a potentially illness filled house. Normally wouldn't bother me as I have a tough immune system, but I don't know about my little bean...

Should I go or try to get out of it? Am I being silly?

@satsumasaturday I'm very very paranoid about germs and have suffered with OCD for most of my adult life. So maybe I'm the worst person to ask. But as soon as I read "toddler came home from nursery" my eyebrows raised and I thought oh my goodness no way!
Even if I wasn't pregnant I would 100% not be entering the home with a poorly child. But now I'm pregnant I'm 110% sure I would not even get in that car xxxxx

@satsumasaturday have they said what is wrong with the toddler? As the owner of seemingly always ill toddler, it wouldn't concern me at all, but then I'm also lugging the two stone lump around with me all day which I also wouldn't have done in my first pregnancy 😂

They haven't said what's wrong just that he came home with a fever @Frillyfarmer. I've also remembered mum is also 7 months pregnant herself (I didn't "forget" I was just too self involved to think about it 😂). And people who have second pregnancies like yourself will have sickly children at home.

I'm usually not worried about germs at all @barnyb which is why I didn't think anything of it as first. But I think I'll have to get on and visit as otherwise we're going to come across a bit difficult (especially as we already said yes)

@satsumasaturday It's a difficult one but I would probably do as you are and continue with the visit. All my family had the flu like bug a couple of weeks ago and I managed to dodge it. My mum thinks it's because I was pregnant and my body fought it. No idea how true this is. Take hand sanitizer 👍🏼

Is anyone else experiencing bad wind? I don't know if it's because I have completely changed my diet. I don't normally eat bread but that's my go to just now and my tummy is constantly sore and bloated.

@Kimberlily - yep, all the same tummy issues. However, my diet has also changed quite a bit! I now eat way greasier food, more meat and less veg.

@EMcG3 it baffles me how our tastes can change so drastically! My last pregnancy all I could stomach was cereal and tomato pasta. Already off chicken, eggs, fish and coffee this time. 😕

@Kimberlily I went off coffee with my first, and still to this day can't stand it!

Its smells for me. Everything smells so strong 🤢

Also, has a secret Facebook group been set up? I am in one from my last due in groups, and it's so much easier to keep up with posts on there. I use it far more.

@RainbowsAndUnicorns23 I went to Costa yesterday with my mum and thought I'd try a mocha but don't think I'll be rushing to have another one. It's so annoying because I love going out for coffee... now I'll just be going out for the cake! 🤐

Hi all! I am 5 weeks along with my first pregnancy, due around the 27th of March. Still early days but have been reading for a while so thought I should say hi. I had no idea how tired you could be so early on absolutely knackered after a 3 hour nap! Quick question, has anyone struggled with pain under their feet?? I have a constant ache and constantly stiff legs and can’t seem to find anything about it online (later on but not in the first trimester). I am anxious about every ache and pain though!
