Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

I have been reading for a while, not wanted to join in as have had 3 miscarriages since my DS was born in 2015. I've now passed the stages that the miscarriages occurred so feeling a little more confident. EPAU have booked me in for a scan tomorrow at 8am when I will be 7weeks 5 days. I think I am due about 11th March.

Frillyfarmer · 28/07/2019 13:49

Hi @PleasantSpice - I hope your scan goes well tomorrow x

maybenextmonth · 28/07/2019 18:27

Hi @Disney1010 and @PleasantSpice, congratulations on your pregnancies. I'm very similar in that I'm past my previous MCs now so I'm feeling a little better. I've got a scan booked for Thursday when I'll be 8 weeks, so I think we've all got pretty similar due dates! How are you both feeling?

Disney1010 · 28/07/2019 18:33

How exciting @maybenextmonth !

I have one booked, but not until 17th August. I'm unsure on my dates as I've only had one period since my DD was born so I don't know how long my cycles are now. My LMP puts me at 7+5, but I took a Clear Blue dating test on Wednesday which put me at 4-5 weeks. Very keen to find out a better idea of my due date!

Hi All!

I’m brand new and was hoping to get some advice from professional mums. I’m five weeks pregnant with my first pregnancy however for the last two days I’ve had a very dull ache in my stomach which appears to be pretty constant. No other symptoms however I’ve done the dreaded thing and started reading google which has convinced me I’m having a miscarriage but that at this early stage my doctor would not do much as I’m pre six weeks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

barnyb · 28/07/2019 20:11

@KikiOB hey! I had aches at 5 weeks. For two days I had it both evenings and I think it can be implantation cramps at 5 weeks. Anyway iv had two scans since and everything was fine. Take some paracetamol if your uncomfortable and try and take it easy xxx

Hi barnyb!

Thank you for replying. I feel a bit at a loss as we’ve not told anyone yet and google is just driving me crazy (I really should know better than to read it!).

maybenextmonth · 28/07/2019 20:44

@Disney1010 makes sense not having a scan until later as you don't want to have it too early and not be able to see very much. Would only cause panic. I'm pretty certain of my dates so I'm there, or there abouts, but appreciate it can all change a bit.

Disney1010 · 28/07/2019 21:03

@maybenextmonth exactly. This way I'll either be 7 weeks and able to see something (the minimum weeks they say they will scan), or 10 weeks and have a better picture to see. Win-win really, I just wish it was sooner!

maybenextmonth · 28/07/2019 22:35

@Disney1010 absolutely, there's weeks have gone by so slowly! I've got a short week at work this week so praying that makes the week go fast. I couldn't wait until 12 weeks! How are your symptoms?

virginpinkmartini · 28/07/2019 22:52

Hey all, thought I'd join if thats okay :) my first foray onto MN boards in about 5 years (when DS1 was born.) I lurk occasionally, but haven't been contributing till now. By my estimation, baby is due around the 22nd March. Been having all the symptoms this time round--sore boobs, nausea, cramping, exhaustion, crazy mood swings... Last time the only signs were my bump and the kicking... I'm enjoying the symptoms in a way. It feels more 'real' for me now Smile. Looking forward to seeing others' journey alongside my own

threegreensheep · 29/07/2019 07:32

Just popping on to have a moan - 7 + 4 today and the sickness has started in earnest. Oh yay. Brings it all flooding back (was sick weeks 7-17 last time). Anyone else struggling? Anyway, busy day at work today so hoping it'll distract me. Enjoy Monday ladies.

maybenextmonth · 29/07/2019 07:40

Yes @threegreensheep I'm also 7+4. I've felt a little nausea over the last week but this morning was the first time I felt I might have been sick - thankfully I wasn't but I'm so worried this just means it's going to gradually get worse now!

Disney1010 · 29/07/2019 08:11

@threegreensheep @maybenextmonth I had horrible nausea last time until about 16 weeks. I found wearing travel sickness bands 24/7 helped me a lot. However I fell pregnant in January last time, so they were easy to hide with a jumper in the early stages!

Rightnow1245 · 29/07/2019 08:16

barnyb I’m so happy for you what a relief 😅

satsumasaturday did you go ahead with the visit?

Disney1010 and CDell Welcome to the group 😊

PleasantSpice Sorry to hear about your past MCs! I’m glad you are feeling a little better about this pregnancy now 😊 good luck for your scan today x

KikiOB I had a few pains around week 5/6 and it seems to of gone now! FX it was just your body getting ready for baby x

maybenextmonth and threegreensheep I am also 7 +4 or 5 I’m not sure lol... also feeling really sick and it definitely wasn’t like this last time 😬 I was at the gym everyday and working full time and was feeling great.. this time I feel awful 😢

Morning ladies how is everyone today? So my DH has surprised me with an early scan which is booked in for later today 😊😊 He said we should wait for our 12 week scan but I said I wanted it for my birthday present so I’m glad he listened to me hahaha
Hopefully I will get some good news for my birthday today 🙏🙏

Ginandtonic31 · 29/07/2019 08:18

Hi. I've been reading a bit but haven't joined in as I've been part of an IVF group. But I just thought it would be nice to perhaps chat. I'm 7+3 today with first baby. Had a scan at 6 weeks and there was a heartbeat and we've a second scan today. I haven't been sick yet but feel sick most of the night/morning and around tea time when I become terribly hungry NOW. I'm still on drugs so can't tell what symptoms are my drugs or me.

threegreensheep · 29/07/2019 09:53

@disney1010 yeh I did try them last time but didn't help much. I have to be bare below the elbow for work too so no getting away with it! I find the nausea worse than sickness, I'm actually relieved when I'm sick as I feel better for 10 mins! Forced some brekkie down after last vomit which helped but coming back now...oh the joys of growing a baby. 🤢

Disney1010 · 29/07/2019 09:57

@threegreensheep the other thing I found helped last time was not to allow myself to get hungry as that's when my nausea was worst. Lots of snacking - I found Polos and plain hula hoops worked well for me.

MunchyMunchkin · 29/07/2019 10:05

Good luck with your scan @Rightnow1245

I am in the nausea club, 8+1 and it keeps getting worse. Just spent 10mins lying on my office floor just now. Yesterday needed an hours nap and then spent the evening laying down in bed watching tv. This is miserable!

maybenextmonth · 29/07/2019 12:21

The sickness is so hard and I haven't physically been sick yet - although it was touch and go earlier. It's very hard to act normally at work.
I ate some wotsits at 10 to try and make it better, my colleague just said 'no breakfast today!?' Haha!

maybenextmonth · 29/07/2019 12:39

@Rightnow1245 amazing you've got an early scan today, I bet you're so excited! I hope it goes well for you. I have one on Thursday so as we are similar times along would be great to hear how it is! 😊 I'm quite nervous for mine.

barnyb · 29/07/2019 19:23

@MunchyMunchkin oh god !!! Today has been a bad day for me too! 8 wks and 5 days sucks for me !! Send help! still can't eat proper food! It's really awful!!!!! anyone who has done this before ... when does it get better??? 😑🤢😫

barnyb · 29/07/2019 19:24

@Ginandtonic31 hello congratulations :)

barnyb · 29/07/2019 19:26

@KikiOB how are you feeling ? X
