Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

I've just had my 36 week growth scan baby roughly weighing 5lb 15oz but his following his own line from last scan so they said that good although she could not get a head measurement as his head is way too low his heads fully engaged did manage to see that baby also has lots of hair so cute

bespokepaininthearse · 30/11/2019 13:55

I think just because baby hasn't put as much weight on as it should have since my last scan, in case there's a reason it's stopped growing

StephRae · 01/12/2019 00:02

My family threw me a surprise baby shower which was lovely, wasn’t planning on having one but not complaining as it was nice seeing all the family and I received lots of gifts including some gorgeous outfits for the little one! Also looked back at the conversation about hiccups and I’m currently 36 weeks and still get lots of hiccups, I feel it’s pretty common though.

Comps83 · 01/12/2019 18:50

Just wondering if it’s really obvious when the baby drops? I’m pretty sure he hasn’t yet . Still wriggling his arse all over and sticking his feet out my side
Worried about this scan tomorrow . Think I’ll go put a few more things in my hospital bag now
Had my last day at work on Friday
How’s everyone else doing ?

Comps83 · 01/12/2019 19:35

Oh Christ I’ve also just realised that amongst the mountain of clothes we have for him that hardly any of it is Newborn sized!

Comps83 · 02/12/2019 13:29

And I’ve just had a midwife at my door for a home visit. Totally without warning!

bespokepaininthearse · 02/12/2019 13:59

@Comps83 oh no you've got it all going on! 🙈 I haven't had a chance to go through all our clothes yet due to the nursery not being finished so I have no idea what I still need if that helps!

jpaws · 02/12/2019 14:05

@comps83 I wasn't aware that baby had dropped but at last mw apt he was 4/5 engaged. He still wriggles loads and I really only feel the drop if I've been walking quite a while.
I'm not sure if things are happening for me as starting to experience some period like cramps occasionally and I think I'm losing my plug. Who knows Hmm

Comps83 · 02/12/2019 14:09

I feel bit rattled by midwife visit tbh. This is my first day of maternity leave and house is a bit grubby as I’ve been trying to get an essay finished. Didn’t take in a word she said and I’m worried i might have said something wrong as was totally taken by surprise!

Funnybunnyfluff · 02/12/2019 15:11

@Comps83

Did you ask why she just turned up? You might not have even been home. Very odd.

My midwife home visit was about my birth plan. she only had a cuppa and a chat in the dinning room then I laid on the sofa for her to listen to the baby.
I thought she might want to see a nursery or that we have everything ready. She didn't even ask.

Comps83 · 02/12/2019 16:15

Sounds like someone has made a mistake somewhere and I didn’t receive a letter I should have got
Scan was fine
He is 6lb 9 and on track

starflake · 02/12/2019 16:54

Having a lot of discharge at the moment and my milk has been coming in, when I bath or shower I leak now! Today also I vomitted and had a dose of diarrhoea for no particular reason! I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. At most I have 2 weeks left as they are inducing me at 39 weeks

Comps83 · 02/12/2019 17:08

@Funnybunnyfluff no one has mentioned a birth plan to me yet . I’m 37wks on Wednesday. Feel like something’s amiss somewhere

Funnybunnyfluff · 02/12/2019 17:23

@Comps83

It does sounds like that I'm 38 weeks on Thursday and midwife visited last Thursday to sort out my birth plan. I had already printed one off the nhs website as a just incase and filled it out.

In my notes 📝 it says birth plan should be done at 36 weeks but she said let's do it at 37 weeks.

My home visit was arrange with my midwife when I last saw her.

@starflake

Ooo sounds like something might be happening. I'm ready to meet my little one now, I'm hoping a little early 🙏🏻.

jpaws · 02/12/2019 20:59

Is anyone getting nervous about the labour? FTM and I've been okay throughout the pregnancy but now, 39 weeks on Wed, I'm starting to feel a little anxious!

Comps83 · 03/12/2019 13:16

@jpaws I’m just trying not to think about it. It can go one of many ways and there’s not much we can do about it so no point worrying

Jowd92 · 03/12/2019 14:07

@jpaws yes it's been playing on my mind also just lately wondering how it will go its the fear of the unknown isnt it even tho I've done it before you still never know because every labour is so different, my consultant said I could be induced early and I had to see a different consultant yesterday due to my consultant not being there and the other one said no so now I'm stuck in what I think so the hospital midwife made me another appointment for next week again but with my own consultant again not sure why I think maybe they agree that inducement would be fine it was just that new consultant so very confused not sure what to think

Funnybunnyfluff · 03/12/2019 15:51

@jpaws

It's all new to me so yes I worry, I'm sort of excited but terrified. It's more the when that scared me and I think how is this baby coming out lol. I'd just like it over and done with really.

We are nearly at 1000 not to sure how u make a new thread but just thought I'd mention it.

jpaws · 03/12/2019 17:19

Yeah, its definitely fear of the unknown. I'm quite practical usually, it's just with it being imminent and having never done it before!

RLI1105 · 03/12/2019 21:43

I'm trying to think positively about the labour but I know what everyone means! It's easy to get anxious. I just think whatever will be will be and how lucky we are to have access to the health service. 😊

Is anyone else in full-blown nesting mode?! I have been on Mat leave for a little over a week and have not stopped cleaning and throwing things out! My husband is scared to touch anything in case he moves it out of place 😂

starflake · 05/12/2019 10:34

Going for a growth scan this afternoon and to see doctor. I'm 37+2 so I'm going to request a sweep & see if they will. I'll be induced in 2 weeks anyway and last scan baby was showing big so I can't see why they won't! A sweep worked with DD2. I've been having BH a lot so id imagine my cervix is favourable. Fingers crossed

StephRae · 05/12/2019 11:53

My baby is measuring big too so I’m being induced in a couple weeks! I’m not surprised at all that she’s measuring big with the size I am, they tested me for gestational diabetes but I was clear which is good.

starflake · 05/12/2019 11:55

Ye they tested me too but clear also, my last DD was 10lb 10oz!! Really hopping they sweep me & it starts me off naturally.
At least u know you only have 2 weeks left

StephRae · 05/12/2019 12:02

Yes it’s very exciting! Does anyone else feel like they’ve dropped, I definitely think she’s a lot lower and a lot of people have told me they think my bump looks lower.
