Christmas babies part 2

Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

Could anyone else sleep all day if they let themselves?
I must really need the sleep as I wouldn’t normally be able to do this

I have the opposite, I seem to have insomnia...but it sucks because I just feel knackered and tired all day, don't sleep well at night :( then wake up feeling knackered. My dream is to get restful sleep. Its so frustrating.

On another note - I have the gender results next to me as I type....I am so temped to open it this evening with dh and then act surprised with the kids when they find out. Lol. If my dh was not going on his trip tomo then I could have waited, but cake takes two days and then I would have to wait all the way until tuesday next week...which I don't want to do!

peasando Haha I don’t think I’m going to be patient lol. I think I’m opening tonight w dh! And then will surprise the kids later when do the cake etc (won’t let them know we know 😀)

How do you find out the gender so early where I am we have to wait to have a private scan at 16 weeks Sad so jealous!

If you get the harmony test you can find out as early as 10 weeks!! We got the test results back fast. Did test Thursday and had results Monday. No doubt if we did test Monday we would have gotten results by weds! The harmony test you have to pay for and usually costs around 500, but also includes a scan to confirm your ten weeks and it tests for 3 common genetic abnormalities.

And I still can’t beleive I managed to wait all the way to 20 with my first! With my second did the private scan at 16 weeks.

With my first I did the private scan at 16 weeks. I'm totally baffled as to why I didn't do the harmony test that time round. I had much more disposable income then too, pre-baby!

peasando same here! It had just come out though when I was pregnant with second and because it was new I thought hmm its expensive, do I need it? But now, everyone I know does it, so it was a no brainer to do it and I would do it again if I had a 4th :) Although, I am pretty sure we will stop at 3.

My husband has said absolutely no more after this one! I have to say i agree with him though - I'm 39 and already feeling too knackered for this! 🤣🤣

And...I’m in complete shock!!!! It’s a GIRL!!!!!!! Super happy and still can’t beleive it! Really in shock. I felt like it was a boy!!

Thanks December2019 and peasando. 😀 super excited. Can’t wait to find out what others are having. 😀 I’ve got a feeling the next one will be a boy. My friend who is due close to Christmas as well is also having a girl! So it has to balance out lol.

I’m starving again. I just had a baby bell and some crackers to hold me over to tomorrow, as I don’t like sleeping w a full tummy. I’m dreaming of milk shakes and burgers again. I think about them every late night when I’m hungry. But then next day come meal time I’ve got no interest and have been feeling sick lately so have been eating toast sandwiches w cheese. Crackers, crisps. Had some fruit as well to get some nutrients and tomato soup. And clementine. I can’t wait until I get back to normal and can just eat normal meals again (like my burger and fries lol). I bought cod the other day bc I wanted to be healthy and then I haven’t been able to cook it so I will probably just freeze it tomorrow.

How is everyone else feeling? Anyone else starting to feel more normal again eating wise?

I'm craving those chocolate puddings you out in the microwave 😂 I was dreaming about them the other night so I got myself 2 pack and ate all 4 of them writhing the hour 🤭

Aw congratulations I dont have any clue as to what I will have this time I already have 2 boys and a girl so I would love a little girl to even it out cant wait to find out I have to wait until next month seems like forever away, I do know this is the worst I've felt with any of mine im constantly tired I feel like I could sleep all day and all night if I could Haha not possible with a 10 month old and I seem to have just gone off food completely I could go all day with out anything I just dont feel hungry very strange anyone else like this?

@VeryNewToAllThis my scan is also on the 20th - TWO WEEKS TO GO!! Midwife dated me due in early Jan at my booking in appointment, but without taking my ridiculously short cycles into account (22-23 days). So I'm hoping I'm on track for a boxing day baby at least :)

I ordered myself burger, fries and milkshake! Finally! I have been dreaming about this for days. Today I have been starving all morning even though eating loads - oatmeal, yogurt w prunes, brazil nuts, banana bread....so pre ordered my burger meal and already so hungry! I tend to be most hungry in mornings...then it goes down hill.

My breasts are still sensitive and sore when touched...wondering when that will stop? I did not have this with my first two. Did anyone have this perviously and if so does it go away or does it carry on being sore rest of pregnancy!?!

@Mamabear12 with my son I think the sore boobs had stopped by week 12 but this time they're just as bad as ever and I'll be 12 weeks at the weekend. Still feeling so sick too! At the moment I just want to eat avocado with vinaigrette all the time...

Glad I found the second thread! I’ve got my scan on Tuesday, getting impatient now. My nausea is back, but I’m still craving fruit and chicken. Lovely to hear about the little girls! I don’t want to find out the sex of the baby so it will be a long wait for me!
