Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

I've got another bloody cough & cold! Didn't ever fully shake the last one - hope it passes quickly 😩

jpaws · 29/10/2019 21:29

Ah hope you get rid of it soon, I'm just about getting over one myself.
Just been for a private growth scan and got some cute images 😍

@jpaws ahhh very cute!

December2019 · 31/10/2019 06:48

@jpaws beautiful 😍

jpaws · 31/10/2019 08:13

Thank you 😄 makes it all very real now, only a couple of weeks left to work before annual leave and maternity kicks in!

Funnybunnyfluff · 31/10/2019 08:40

Lovely pic there 😃. Xx

My last day today then hols before maternity. Bit strange going into work I hope I don't get emotional lol.

jpaws · 31/10/2019 13:30

@Funnybunnyfluff how exciting, wish I was finishing today!

bobble53 · 31/10/2019 13:51

When is everyone finishing? I’m finishing at 39 weeks, currently 35 but struggling :(

peasando · 31/10/2019 14:19

I've got loads of annual leave to use up so finishing next week at 34 weeks - seems quite early but actually I'm really struggling now so in many ways will be glad to finish up. Already getting a bit emotional about it though!

jpaws · 31/10/2019 14:48

I finish on 15th Nov when I'll be 36+2. I have two and a bit weeks annual leave and maternity starts on 4th December when I'm 39 weeks. Starting to drag a bit now that it's getting to the final few weeks but not struggling too much.

Funnybunnyfluff · 31/10/2019 18:42

I have finished early 33 weeks again lots of hols to use up so why not 🎃.

So glad I won't have to defrost the car lol. My dog will become a fair weather dog 😊

Going to rest and get cooking. Told them all I will pop on soon with cakes for everyone.

They have done a sweep stake after work... weight sex and date 😂.

Hugsandpastries · 31/10/2019 19:24

Finishing at 38 weeks - so still something like six weeks to go! But my work is all done sitting down - easy compared to my days off having a hyper preschooler wanting to jump all over me!

NapsAndTea · 01/11/2019 14:23

@Hugsandpastries I'm finishing at 38 weeks too - so 6 weeks and the lead up to a nativity play to go 😂👍🏼

GrannyClanger · 01/11/2019 14:26

I've got 4 weeks to go, finishing at 37 weeks. If I make it! Going ok so far but I am counting down the days!

Nervousdave · 02/11/2019 00:00

I'm finishing end of november at 38 weeks, with some holiday days to take, my mat leave starts on due date. I cant wait! I always thought I'd be able to work right up til I was due but I am tired and heavy 🐳

Comps83 · 06/11/2019 09:41

Is anyone else considering the Angelcare monitor mat or something similar?
They are quite pricey but I think it would be worth it
I finish on 29th , it’s also my birthday. Can’t wait
We just bought a family car eeeek
Feel like we are haemorrhaging money at the moment

Hopefull26 · 06/11/2019 10:25

Hi All, I hope you don't mind me joining you! I've actually been following this thread like a little stalker 🙈! I'm due 28th Dec. 5wks left at work and counting!!

@comps83 I bought the angelcare movement and sound monitor yesterday from argos on offer. My cousin recommended it to me though she had an older version. Feel your pain with hemorrhaging money, we're looking at family cars at the moment need to get one ASAP, feel all I am doing at the moment is spending money! Just ordered the pram too Blush

TTc2019BabyNo1 · 06/11/2019 13:58

@Comps83 ahh I feel your pain! So much money!! And there’s me thinking I’d be saving for mat leave 🙈! Exciting about your new car!!
As for monitors, I haven’t really looked into them properly yet but I’ll probably just get whatever I can on offer :)!

How is everyone feeling? I feel absolutely massive now and still have 7 weeks to go! Help! I’ve got a lot of pelvic pain, I can’t wait until I finish work and don’t have to sit at a desk any longer!

Comps83 · 06/11/2019 15:26

I took out a bigger car loan than I needed (just to get the lower apr) but I’ve put a few k of it away for when I go onto smp.
I still feel like we have done it quite cheaply compared to what we could have spent. MIL found a lot of stuff second hand and practically free. Just painted it and bought new mattresses etc. I got all my maternity clothes from eBay
It’s a bit like weddings. Anything to do with babies and the price rockets. My mothercare tights were a total waste of money I hate them.

Comps83 · 11/11/2019 18:13

Is anyone’s still getting hiccups?

xoxhayleyxox · 11/11/2019 18:43

@Comps83 baby currently has hiccups as we speak 😂

Comps83 · 11/11/2019 19:45

Dh freaked me out the other day after he’d been doing some googling and said he shouldn’t be hiccuping this far a long and it could be a sign something is wrong
I’ll ask the midwife on Wednesday as I think it’s rubbish
On another note the doctor at the hospital this morning said she’d never known such a lively baby, she was literally chasing him around with the monitor trying to get a heartbeat

Funnybunnyfluff · 12/11/2019 08:43

Anyone else dread going to bed? Laying in my side is killing my hips I wake up so often. Due to them hurting

Pillow does help much.

December2019 · 12/11/2019 10:25

@Comps83 yeah my little one has had hiccups most of the time since 30 weeks lol
My little boy was the same too

TTc2019BabyNo1 · 12/11/2019 11:55

@Funnybunnyfluff yes!! So painful sleeping, barely sleep these days. Waking every hour or so. The pain combined with needing a wee every 5 mins lol 🙈!

@Comps83 yep mine still gets hiccups, feel them lower down now.

Has anyone been assessed for reduced movement?? I have had a lot less movement last night and this morning so I rang the hospital this morning and they told me to try a few things which I did. Last thing to try was lie down on my left for 2 hours and count to 10 movements. I ‘just’ got to 10 movements in the 2 hours which is quite unusual for my baby as she’s normally constantly moving (more like 10 movements in 5 mins when she’s awake!) so I called the hospital back and they didn’t seem concerned and said 10 movements in 2 hours is reasonable but it’s up to me if I want to come in. Why do they leave it up to me to decide? I wish they’d just say - come in, or no need.
So now I’m deliberating! I don’t know what to do...! Anyone had this happen? Xx
