Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

@Funnybunnyfluff ooh yes I’ve had a shooting pain. And a dull constant pain down below but I don’t even think baby is engaged yet so I’m hoping it doesn’t get worse. 36 weeks tomorrow.

It's not nice is it, but does make me feel better that I'm not the only one lol.
I know baby is engaged after scan. I assume that's the pressure.

I have been having the dull ache right across the bottom of my belly, on and off really! I am 35+3 baby wasn't engaged when I last saw the midwife but I'm hoping they will be able to tell me if baby is at my scan this week?

Does anyone else’s sometimes jump when there is a sudden or loud noise?
He was embarrassing today in a meeting, he was jumping all over the place but I don’t think anyone else noticed but it totally distracted me haha Grin

Does anyone elses baby get hiccups alot mine is every day just lately and sometimes more then twice a day is this normal?

Report
Comps83 · 27/11/2019 08:04

@Jowd92 I hope so as dh freaked me out a few weeks ago saying he shouldn’t be hiccuping at this point anymore and it’s a sign something could be wrong but everyone I mention this to said it’s bullshit. I will ask the midwife this morning though

Report
Jowd92 · 27/11/2019 08:18

Yes I also made the mistake of looking up on the internet about it and some sites was saying it's normal but then others was saying you shouldn't be feeling them after 32 weeks and some also saying about a problem with the cord or placenta I really hope not because just lately my little one seems to being having them alot everday and sometimes 3-4 times a day it does seem alot tho, have to let me know what your midwife says

Report
Comps83 · 27/11/2019 08:24

Yeah this is the info dh found. But I’ve had ppl telling me their baby was born hiccuping and there was no cord around neck etc. I will let you know what she says

38 weeks today and this week I've really been struggling to sleep through the night (better at having naps on the sofa in the day), also having occasional stomach aches. Still feel like I have much to do about the house but not really got the motivation to do it! Attention span is shocking and seem to be tired so much. :( thankfully not long to go now.

38 +1 today and I'm still getting the hiccuping most days too, never thought about it being not right! Interested in what the midwife says.

Pick up the keys to our new place on Saturday so hoping little one stays put till then! Currently with parents so hoping I can bring her home to our new home Smile

Midwife said it’s totally normal
I have to go for a scan next week as he’s measuring slightly too big

@Comps83
Hiccups happen a lot as they are practicing their breathing often, I asked midwife last week, could see stomach moving up and down gently (not fast enough or strong enough for hiccups, she was breathing the amniotic fluid apparently giving her lungs a work out) and then the hiccups started xx

I'm starting to dread going to bed, can't sleep, baby kicks keeps me awake. trying to get up to go to the loo is a lot of effort, my hips are hurting me. When I do get up and finally walk I wake the baby, so get back into bed and get kicked more.

Moan over 🙈

@bobble53 how are you feeling since losing your plug?

Report
Nervousdave · 28/11/2019 06:46

I've been getting the hiccups/breathing practice occasionally, but definitely more this week than last week! I'm 38 weeks today. Baby also seems to have a complete reenactment of strictly as soon as I lie down in bed, it's ridiculous how much he moves. He doesnt wake me @Funnybunnyfluff but as soon as I roll over (multiple times with hurty hips and back) he gets rolling too, and I'm getting up to pee a couple of times a night.
I finish work tomorrow! Wooo!
I need to pack my hospital bag and drop the carseat off at my friends (as she'll be the one taking us home from hospital whenever baby shows up) and then I think I'm ready 😅

@starflake I’m still here and still very pregnant! I thought things were going to happen this week after losing it Sunday but no signs yet.

How is everybody else? Anybody else due next week? I can’t believe I have less than a week left now.

LOADS of hiccups here (36w) and I'm getting biophysical ultrasounds done twice weekly at this point so I'm very sure the cord isn't around her neck -- the perinatologist says it's normal.

I've ordered a few more things for the hospital bag but they've hesitated to schedule my c-section AGAIN as everything is well-controlled and they want her in as LOOOONG as possible. I agree, even if it means being in the hospital on Christmas.

I am very over working though.

Had my 36 week scan today, and baby has dropped off the line on the chart that it was following, midwife has ordered another scan in 2 weeks to check where it's at then. Baby was measuring at 6.3 so not a small baby at all so am unsure what will happen now really, what was everyone else measuring at 36 week scan?

Report
Funnybunnyfluff · 30/11/2019 03:56

6.1 lbs at 36 weeks scan.

Rough guide of 8.1 for due date. Have a scan day before due date if baby hasn't arrived by then.

What weight did they give you? X

Measuring at 6.3lbs at 36 weeks, so not little, I think they just want to check as it's dropped off the line?

Report
Funnybunnyfluff · 30/11/2019 10:54

I don't understand why they say dropped off the line.
My consultant was really happy with 6.1 and the sono said pretty much a "text book" baby weight to me at 36weeks.

I'm literally on the line or one above it.

Report
Comps83 · 30/11/2019 11:18

I’m going for a scan as he’s gone just above the line. Midwife said she wasn’t worried. I really don’t want to be induced early if he’s too big.
