Well.back from consultant mw appointment - and, although I didn't see the person I was meant too (she's on holiday!), I feel like I've got somewhere!

The upshot of it is that the mw I saw (mw in charge of mlu) has agreed that the mlu is the best place for me to be ... she's also going to be speaking to the obstetric pain clinic to see what can be done for me in terms of the pain I'm in.

And yes, I did cry ... and got very emotional about the whole thing, but we got there in the end.

Baby is measuring small for dates - but they're not worried, as she's growing - and as she's lying tranverse, it's not really surprising that she seems to be small.

Off to yoga tonight ... looking forward to the relaxation!

Oh, and mine's a chocolate eclair (dh bought me one earlier, and I saved it!) ... and my boobs? Well, my usual description is 'spaniel's ears', but I do like the biscuit description too!

MrsFish · 17/07/2007 16:47

Hi greedy, it is indeed that Next one I have a safety pin in it to stop it showing off too much Also I am a D cup and the tops are too too tight, so I don't think they would fit you... sorry

MrsFish · 17/07/2007 16:50

Winnie - good news about your hubby

I have just bought some spanx maternity tights for under my dress for the wedding, expensive but if they do the trick... If I like the look and feel of them I may have to get some spanx pants to hold everything in after the birth

ejt1764 · 17/07/2007 17:01

spanx maternity pants? link?

MrsFish · 17/07/2007 17:16

spanx tights

spanx pants

ejt1764 · 17/07/2007 17:19

oooooh - might just be a must-buy - mind you, with the tubigrip to stop my bl00dy pelvic support belt from irritating my skin, and said pelvic support belt under my clothes, I think I may be on a hiding to nothing trying to get a smooth look!

and also ... winnie - great news about dh!

j20baby · 17/07/2007 17:21

quick post cos i'm doing tea, mrs fish-i'm a bit taller than you, 5,5" and weigh about 11.5 ok 12 stone, boobs are currently 34/36 E/F, what do you think?

OP posts:
MrsFish · 17/07/2007 17:30

As I said I am a D and they are tight, so I don't think they would fit. Well the white and pink one might, but the blue definitely wouldn't I don't mind sending them anyway so you can see, the smaller back size might off set the boob bit, plus you weigh less, so it might be ok. As I said you are free to try them if you like, and if they don;t fit you can pass them onto someone else

I have come to the conclusion that t-shirt type material tops suit me much better

j20baby · 17/07/2007 18:12

well its up to you, did you fancy meeting to swap them or do you just want to post them?

i will go and see what sizes the other ones are in 5 minutes, just letting me tea settle

J20 - I'm pretty busy for the next few weeks, so posting would probably be best, but would be up for a meet at some point

Inzi - hope you have a good sleep.

j20baby · 17/07/2007 19:17

mrsfish- i have put the sizes..etc on the pics on the profile, also have a long navy blue jersey dress from Mothercare size 14 and a purple top which is H&M B.B Size medium, whatever that means, will try and find a lonk to something similar as i don't have pics. let me know if you want any x

OP posts:
j20baby · 17/07/2007 19:23

MrsFish ? glad to hear that your ds is better today

Winnie ? Great to hear your dp is OK and has no plaster! That must be a massive weight off your mind!

Lisa ? sorry to hear you are in a lot of pain and feeling tearful today. Hope things got better over the day for you hon! Big hugs winging their way to you

Floria ? great news for your friend! 6lb 4oz sounds much more manageable!!!! James is a fab name too ? one of the ones that dh and I actually agree on but has been ruled out as for some reason I can?t quite explain it doesn?t suit him! Don?t ask me why ? probably hormones or something!!!!
Must have been really upsetting for you delivering your little girl like that. Although I take what you way about appreciating the time alone together. Big hugs for you.

Ejt ? honey it sounds like you?re having a really stressful time. Your GP sounds like she was having a severely off day. Can you not get the paracetamol suppositories over the counter? I would have thought you could ? might be worth asking. How inconsiderate to not give you something that helps you and prescribe something you are allergic to. I?m pretty sure cocodamol is fine to take when you?re pregnant too but to be honest would have to double check ? I can do if you like? She is giving us docs a bad name! Big hugs for you too!
Glad though to hear that all was so much more positive at the mlu and that they have agreed to support you for the birth you want. And referred you to the pain clinic ? that must be a big weight off your mind.

Hi gemma! Been a while. Glad to hear you had a good holiday and also that you?ve managed to get on the wl for physio. Hope your appt comes soon.

Dal ? glad to hear you?re having a lovely time with your mum ? very jealous!

Muppet ? sorry to hear ds is playing up. My little one does on occasion although I?m sure I?ve got lots more to look forward to! Think at the mo its mostly frustration that he can?t communicate properly (he?s 17 months) although he?s pretty good all things considered. I?ll rememeber you to turn to for advice in a couple of years time!

Inzi ? hello! How frustrating with your computer! I go mad when that happens!!! Its always when I?ve spent ages writing an email or post on here and I want to smash the bloody thing1!! Sorry to hear you?re having a crap time at work and sore bits but at least you finish work soon! Hopefully that?s keeping you going?.

Well as for me ? I had a midwife appt today and all was well. He?s lying transverse at the moment too ? a part of me hopes he stays there so I get out of having to make a decision about section v vbac as transverse lie means a definite section! Too early to mean that yet but I think I would find this whole decision easier if someone just told me what to do! She has said that by my measurements at the mo he will be 6lb 14oz at birth which is a little more than ds1 so sounds about right.

Hello to everyone else I haven?t mentioned personally!

MrsFish · 17/07/2007 19:31

Hi J20 - wouldn't mind the grey tunic style top in your pics and the blue dress and purple top mentioned in your last post

Shall I just send you all my tops and you can see if any fit?

My email is lisa@ the - fishbowl dot co dot uk, we can sort the rest offline

ejt1764 · 17/07/2007 21:43

alice - are you sure you're not me? baby lying transverse ... a smallish baby too ... hmmm ...

The analgesia ladder I've been given by the physios at the hospital say that cocodamol is fine during pg - but I'd have to have it in suppository form - still cannot take any tablets at all ... I throw them up!

Silly GP!

Am seriously blissed out after yoga ... ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...

off to bed now - hopefully I'll sleep tonight!

j20baby · 17/07/2007 21:51

hi all, have just been touching up paint on ceiling and sanding skirting and doors and painting them, am going to try and get a bit of wallpapering tommorrow.

mrsfish-have emailed you

what does tranverse me, across? my lo has always got her head down, erm, ceph i think its called.

OP posts:
alicet · 17/07/2007 22:00

transverse means lying accross your tummy rather than head down / up. Not compatible with vaginal delivery but not a worry at this stage as loads of time to move round.

ejt - we do seem to be having a lot of similarities don't we? Just glad I don't have your pain or bolshy gp! Hope you manage to get the painkillers you need hon.

Off to bed now - sleep well ladies!

j20baby · 17/07/2007 22:04

Glad to hear it J20!

Very tired this am - awake off and on since 4.30 then ds decided to wake at 5.55 which is very very early for him! When dh got up for work at 6.30 I went back to bed for 45 mins but not great! Still going to meet a mate this am....

Chat later - and hope the rest of you had a better night than me!

TheLadyEvenstar · 18/07/2007 07:58

ohhhh I see clothes swap is happening lol. To start with I have a pair of maternity jeans size 14 over belly size which are 1 not my style and 2 have only been worn 3 or 4 times. I also have a pair of white 3/4 legnths which are also maternity 14, both from peacocks. OK not the best brands buttttt if anyone has a use for them let me know. Am sure I have some tops here as well, as DP buys my real girly things which erm..... just aren't me lol. Have a few dresses as well which although not maternity have seen me through till now.

ejt1764 · 18/07/2007 08:00

Morning all, up early (well, for puky me anyway!) as dh has gone off on site again - up to Capenhurst (wherever that is!). He'll be back late tomorrow night - one of the other guys stayed over last night as he lives in Swansea - they both went to the pub after I got back from yoga last night - which is fine - it's just that dh smelled really beery [bleugh] ...

DS is really really tired - I think I may get a call from the childminder again today - I think the end of term is just too much for him!

j20 - I'm so glad that dd has decided she likes her new school - especially as I know you were quite worried.

Please take it easy with the decorating ...

I have hydrotherapy this morning - am not looking forward to the trudge from the car park.

I have contacted the red cross and they're sorting out a chair for me - the lady who runs the Cardiff depot is on holiday - so I've got to go to either Cowbridge, Treforest, or Newport! Don't mind which ... It's bizarre, because when I mentioned the chair to dh, he had been thinking the same thing!

alice - take it easy today - I seem to be having very disturbed nights too - it's no fun!

Waving to everybody else!
