I only got the text a few mins ago so dont know the details..but something similar happened to me when I lost Robyn at 17 wks last year...(dont read on if you are feeling hormonal)...

Having been told there was no longer a heart beat on the Weds night and had it confirmed on the Thurs morning I was released from hospital and supposed to go in on the Fri am for a pill to prepare me for induction on the Sunday...but I woke on Fri with back and pelvic pain so I when arrived at the hospital they talked through my symptoms, found me a private room and the nurse left to find a doctor to assess me...I felt the need to go to the loo, and as I removed my underwear Robyn dropped into my hands, so tiny and perfect with her thumb in her mouth...the staff were frantic because I had locked the door (it was a shared bathroom with the next delivery room) not their fault at all...I didnt have typical labour pains... and I was grateful for that few minutes for just her and me before I let them in....

I'm sure these things happen more often than we realise...I'll get the full details tonight no doubt and will let you all know asap.

EJT sorry you GP was being so unsupportive..if it is unusual for her perhaps she was just having a bad day herself..I think the obs pain clinic would definately be the best place to get serious help...you shouldnt have to be worrying about this and do hope you can get some results and some relief soon...and dont worry about looking a fool and crying, fortitude is often misinterpreted....I once broke my ankle but walked on my toe to the surgery and only bit my lip when examined (though I did tell him it bl*y hurt!) because I didnt scream in agony he said it was just badly bruised...so I didnt get it put in plaster and it set in the wrong position...it took 3 yrs of physio to get my heel to touch the ground again!! Moral of the story...give them the reaction they expect, dont be brave!

TheLadyEvenstar · 17/07/2007 11:00

Helloooooooooooo thought i'd lost y'all lol.
Well one day left for ds at school yipppeeeeee then 6 weeks of laying in bed a bit later double yippeeeeeeee lol.
Had a weird dream last night about a pram, DP and I have chosen one and pick it up on 20th of this month. But dreamt I decided when we got to shop to tell DP that i didn't want it as I had "found" a silver cross coach built pram in my bag (????????) DP told me it was too big but i insisted i was keeping it. Anyway in my dream we went on holiday and although I haven't had lo yet i was taking pram with me as I didnt want to lose it lol. It wouldn't fit in the car so I was walking beside car up the motorway pushing it .....car was going at 70mph but i kept up....I then said "oh hang on and folded pram up so small it fitted in my back pocket and got it the car with it.....

God knows what I was thinking about lol..Woke up at 3am had millionth wee went back to bed watched some steptoe n son and fell asleep. Other than that things been pretty normal here no rest for the wicked as they say lol.

Hope y'all well

j20baby · 17/07/2007 11:39

Morning all

Mrsfish, glad ds is feeling better
I?ve looked at your pic on your profile, and you look about same size as me, so I?m not sure if it will do any good swapping, although if you fancy meeting up in the next couple of weeks to swap that would be good, I think if we met in the middle it would be less than an hour each, or we could just use royal mail

Saying that, how far are we all away from each other? Are we going to all try and have a meet up at some point?

Ft-wow about your friend! If that had been me, I would have made them smash the door down!

Ejt-can you go back to your GP and demand better treatment? Its so awful being in pain, I agree that you should show them how much you really are suffering, so you get the medication you need!

Thelady-dreams are driving me crazy atm, I dreamt last night that the sperm donor?s friend delivered my baby in a hotel and I keep having really erotic dreams, not fair, feel very frustrated when I wake up

Lisa-the video is just so moving! Think it?s the song on it, it males me want to blub, like in a wedding, happy kind of way

Muppet-your ds was probably tired, when my dd is tired and hungry, she?s horrible then again, so am I

Well, took dd to her new(hopefully) school today, and she clung like a limpet! All pray for me that when I pick her up at 12 she will have loved it! Will make life so much easier for me. {hopeful emoticom}

talking of which, i'd better get ready to go

J20,
I was just wondering where everyone was..in the way of living I mean.
I am in London.....not a very nice place I know which is why when ds finishes this school in 2 yrs time we are moving to the coast.

Hey just had a thought anyone near Scratby in Gt Yarmouth??? am going on holiday there in August??

ejt1764 · 17/07/2007 12:06

Thanks for your support all!

J20 - I'm going to see how I get on this afternoon, but I may well make an appointment to see GP again tomorrow (I'll have my own seat in the waiting room soon!) and shove the info leaflet I've been given up her nose!

As for where we all are ... I'm in Penarth - just south of Cardiff ... I think we're all spread out all over!

gemmamc · 17/07/2007 12:07

Hi TheLady - actually I live in London and although it has lots of problems, it also has lots going for it and on the whole I have yet to find another place where I feel I will be happier! I may change my mind when my LO will be a teenager, but there's plenty of time to decide how to deal with that!!

Hello everyone, I am back from a 2-week holiday in Wales. Everything going well in the pregnancy, apart from hip pain during the night. Someone mentioned having something similar in an earlier post (sorry but there are far too many to read them all...). I am on the waiting list for physio...

ejt1764 · 17/07/2007 12:15

Hi gemma - nice to see you back! Where did you go in Wales? Did you wave to me as you drove past junction 33 on the m4?

There's a couple of us with hip pain - I'm probably the whingiest! Don't wait around for physio - hassle them ... I waited 6 weeks for my referral to come through - then found out that my referral hadn't even been done!

buffythenappyslayer21 · 17/07/2007 12:18

just adding myself to this thread so i can find it again!!

hi everyone!!hope everyones ok!

MrsFish · 17/07/2007 12:20

j20 - I am 5ft 3" and at the moment weigh 13st 6lb, Bra size 38D, I reckon you ARE smaller than me

lisad123 · 17/07/2007 12:23

Hi Gemma nice to meet you, im just outside london in herts.

EJT, sorry to hear GP is a pain in the arse. My consultant has given me extra pain meds, and my wheelchair helps on really bad days. You though t anymore about the birth plan? Do you think you'll go natural, or too woried about pain. Im really confused but think with all the complications together wil end in another section.

dal21 · 17/07/2007 12:34

Hi everyone - just popping on to say, havent read all the posts. Am enjoying my week off - my mum has come to stay and getting some nice time together (plus she has just made some fab curtains for the nursery). Couldnt find any nice blackout ones online and went up to this fabric outlet in north london and picked out some lovely fabric! So it is all coming together! V. exciting. Have a nice lunch in town followed by a show tomorrow afternoon - really looking forward to it.

Hope everyone else is having a good week!

ejt1764 · 17/07/2007 13:00

Hi lisa - I know from last time that the recovery from a C section with spd is not great - I'm hoping for a vbac ... am considering getting a wheelchair, as I just cannot walk more than about 25m at a time on my crutches without the pai becoming unbearable.

Where did you get yours from?

mellow2 · 17/07/2007 13:51

Sorry to hijack the thread.

Lisa,
I sent you an e-mail about the baby hammock.

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 15:11

FT - how wrong can they be hey? 10-12lb? what a bunch of plums whoever told your poor friend that and worried her! congrats to her on her lovely LITTLE baby anyway!!! also, i was reading this morning that at 30 wks the average baby is 3lbs anyway, so your scan doesn't sound like too much to worry about!

mrsfish - did you sort out your clothes swap with j20? if not......i have a possible swap option for you!!!

muppett - your ds sounds a bit like mine!!! whenever i get really croos with mine and give him 'one of my looks'.............he says.......mummy, dont forget i love you!

ejt - just keep thinmking you are 3/4 of the way there and you will soon have your body back and hopefully be relatively pain free!!

honeyapple.....i was waiting for you to chip in about BF! i knew you would! biscuit shaped boobs!!!!..whatever next!!??

i am nearly at the 30wk mark and for me that seems like such a big milestone!!!......if anyone ever tells me thy are 30+ wks pg i think "Oooooooo nearly there!" so we must all be nearly there now!!!

lisad123 · 17/07/2007 15:39

Ejt, my physio recommended one for long trips out as i have some previous nerve damage to my hands, and they had started to go numb again I had to get mine from redcross as nhs dont give you them anymore. You have to be careful not to use it too much as theres a higher risk of bloodclots with being imobile for too long when pregnant, but defo makes it easier when out

I had a c section last time but not for spd, as i didnt get it in my pregnancy with Tanisha, i recovered fairly quickly. I guess im just a little worried about the amount of pain im in if i press slightly on my pelvis and the amount of pressure of the baby. I had an epidural last time and it dropped my bloodpressure too much, so had to give me something to counteract it, but was easy to do as in threature at the time

Im having a funny day, feel really tearful, no real idea why think being stuck in does not help. Only 11 weeks left.

lisa

Stefka · 17/07/2007 15:42

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I am well at the moment which is nice because the first 19 weeks were awful!

Had a midwife appointment today and all seems to be well. I have to have my anti -d injection on Monday and I am so not looking forward to that!

MrsFish · 17/07/2007 16:11

Hi Greedy - not heard from j20 yet

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:18

did you say the tops were tight round your boobs? i am normally a size 14 and my boobs are a 34-36 F at the moment.......what do you think?...................of me fitting into them not just what do you think of my impressive boobs???!!!

only if J20 isn't intersted anymore of course!

i am afraid i only have 1 or 2 tops i could swap with you. 1 is a little strappy summer top, which i have never worn cos it never seems to look quite right on me and i know i have another one but i cant rem what it is like at the moment..........pg brain!..i will look later when i am at home!

greedygreedyguzzler · 17/07/2007 16:21

OH MY GOD!!!!!!! how sppoky!!!! Mrs fish.........i just had a look at your profile to see how big you were again!!!!........and the top that you are wearing is the other one i was thinking of swapping with you!!!!!................is it a green and greyish cross over front cotton one from next? if it is, then that is the one! mine has never hung right around my boobs, it always gapes a bit too much for me so that is the other one i was thinking of! how spooky!!

WinnieThePooh · 17/07/2007 16:24

HI everyone I hope you are all well.

Dp got back from hospital at 11.30, NO CAST yeah!! He has still got the sling to rest his arm a bit, buut the doc said he is ok to drive again.

I immediately took adavantage of that and went food shopping. Went down on the bus and called him to collect me when I had finished.

honeyapple · 17/07/2007 16:33

Greedy- the biscuit shaped boob is a particularly good description that I am very proud of.
