Hi everyone! Just looking for some reassurance- I'm 6 weeks today and no morning sickness, which is great, but it's making me think something isn't right! Did any of you escape it or start later?

daydreamdaisy · 26/01/2019 10:33

@LaVieEstBelle8 I am about to be 8 weeks and bar a couple of brief waves of nausea last week have had no sickness at all. I just had a scan and saw a heartbeat, nurse reassured me that lots of people don't get sickness so hope that helps!

LaVieEstBelle8 · 26/01/2019 10:47

@daydreamdaisy thanks so much, that's great to hear! I've booked an early scan next week so fingers crossed everything looks ok! Xx

Megan2018 · 26/01/2019 11:47

Still no sickness/nausea here, 6+6.
Just ridden horse and mucked out and feeling same as always. Which is making me worry!

Karigan195 · 26/01/2019 11:56

Seriously enjoy it whilst you can. I was absolutely fine until this week. We’ve just got to week ten. Last few days it’s been get up and immediately over the loo.

Some lucky sods never get it. Most likely week is from 8 onwards.

Hsunshine · 26/01/2019 12:04

@LaVieEstBelle8 mine started at 6+2 before that I was just chilling thinking how nice it was. Now I’m sick almost every day

KnobJockey · 26/01/2019 12:27

Feel like mines kicking in- I've not actually been sick yet but the constant nausea is awful. Particularly when feeding the dog, or being in the same room when she gets fed and actual retching while brushing my teeth. Feel bad today, the only thing helping slightly are crisps. Gonna be a heavyweight by the end of this if that carries on! 6+1 today.

BBell2 · 26/01/2019 12:28

I was sick once in my first pregnancy at around 10 weeks, it was a dream really. This one I've been sick already at 6weeks.

BBell2 · 26/01/2019 12:33

I'm feeling rough, really sick today. At a playing and all my mates have left, my kids self deployed so I'm enjoying a drink and super sugary snack. But I loom rough! Turn to the side and my husbands long term ex is sat next to me staring at me. First time in ten years we have been in close proximity...AMAZING timing.

KnobJockey · 26/01/2019 13:08

@BBell oh, bad timing! Is he friendly with her, kids involved? Or no ties?

Easterbuns1 · 26/01/2019 13:35

@BBell2 it's always the same, go out looking immaculate and see no one and your feeling rough and you meet the world and his dog and all the exes you don't want to bump into!

The smell of fag smoke hit me today and I've been spectacularly sick, doesn't usually bother me as I'm an ex smoker and some of my friends still smoke but I think it was the last straw on an already dodgy tummy today.

BBell2 · 26/01/2019 13:39

They are absolutely no contact together years he wouldn't commit, she left got married and had child within a year but we have seen her about and they resolutely ignore each other, their awkwardness makes me feel awkward! Especially now she had a good gawp without me realising at first.

LaVieEstBelle8 · 26/01/2019 13:40

Thanks for the replies! The sickness is probably on it way I guess but hopefully I get away lightly!! X

BBell2 · 26/01/2019 13:47

@LaVieEstBelle8 fingers crossed it will never come. It doesn't mean anything.

excitednerves · 26/01/2019 14:26

@lavieestbelle8 I have had a few waves of nausea but nothing major. Worse in the evenings and after eating but generally absolutely fine. I’m 8 weeks 2 days. Had a scan at EPU at 6 weeks, saw a heartbeat, so I’m just convincing myself that as long as there’s no bad signs then everything must be ok. It’s so awful when you’re wishing to feel worse. I’m pretty much holding my breath until my scan!!!

firstbabybean · 26/01/2019 14:44

Hello everyone,
My best wishes to everyone on here and heartfelt condolences to those of you who have had MCs or worrying spotting. This is my first pregnancy, i'm nearly 40. I had an early scan this week which dated me at 8 weeks. No MS luckily but I am a raging bag of hormones! I lost my canine soulmate 3 weeks ago, one week after I found out i was pregnant. That coupled with the hormones means that tears are always only a blink away. I've been lurking on this thread for a while and finding all your posts very helpful but thought it was time to say hello. I think i've added myself to the spreadsheet but technology isn't always my strong point.

TwittleBee · 26/01/2019 15:18

Welcome and congrats firstbabybean ! I am so sorry about your dog Flowers so hard when we lose a furry friend.

Had a pretty awful grocery shop. My body decided that food shopping was disgusting and so I gagged, very loudly and comically, around the store to many people's horror. I had to explain, when packing my shopping, that I'm not ill just pregnant to the check out lady!

Sorry to hear lots of you are feeling sick, and those that aren't are panicking about it. The first trimester really is the hardest I think?

I find it exhausting pretending I feel ok and trying to hide the crippling fatigue and nausea. I'm 7+5 and feeling like I could vomit already but this time in my
Last pregnancy was in the throws of Hyperemesis so I really should be more grateful.

To the pp who asked if anyone is up in the night for a wee, yes I am! Usually at least once.

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/01/2019 16:32

I seem to feel more sick when I’m out of the house Confused
Popped to Sainsbury’s for bread and toilet roll, and was heaving the whole way round Blush

TwittleBee · 26/01/2019 16:39

Yeah that's the same as me MyBreadIsEggy ! Wonder if its our bodies being like "ew outside germs, quick retreat back home" haha

Easterbuns1 · 26/01/2019 17:02

I think I'm the same, may just become a hermit!

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/01/2019 17:18

May have spoken too soon.
I’m home now and still feeling pretty rotten Confused
As much as I love my small humans....I’m very much looking forward to bedtime so I can just veg out, without hearing “Mama! Mama! Mama!” 50,000 times a minute Blush and I can vomit in peace!

boodles101 · 26/01/2019 17:48

I'm feeling a bit strange. I would exactly call is nausea or sickness, just a bit of a weird stomach feeling. Hard to describe really.
My mum came round to drop something off today while I was at work. I realised when I got him that I had left my pregnancy notes booklet on the chair so it's highly likely that she saw it. She hasn't said anything so I'm hoping she didn't as I'd really like to surprise her properly.

excitednerves · 26/01/2019 17:49

@twittlebee @MyBreadIsEggy ha ha! Me too. I gagged in Waitrose looking at quiche (and I love quiche). One of the few times I’ve actually felt nauseous. I was both terrified in case I actually vomited in the middle of the aisle but also thrilled to finally have some nausea symptoms.

Pregnancy really messed you up!Confused

MyBreadIsEggy · 26/01/2019 17:52

excited it doesn’t seem to be any particular foods that are setting my off this time - just oxygen in general Confused
Last two pregnancies it was curry that I couldn’t stomach - whereas this time, I’ve had 2 curries since I found out and I’ve been fine.
I’m convinced I’m having another girl though as the sickness with DD hit me like a bus very early on (like this one!) but then developed into hyperemesis which lasted until the day she was born - I was still puking in labour.
With DS I didn’t have much nausea until around 8 weeks and then it disappeared completely by 14 weeks.
