@pinkflowers82 it's my understanding they can be between 8 and 14 but are generally nearer 12. I think the 14 weeks is so they can get the nuchal measurements for your screening.

pinkflowers82 · 09/02/2019 09:08

Thank you Easterbuns1
It seems so far away and and I want to start telling people. I've felt so sick at work and it's difficult trying to keep quiet.

Could I please join the FB group?

KLane · 09/02/2019 09:16

EDD is 14/9 with DC2. DS will be 2y4m when the baby is born... just in time to start potty training 🤦‍♀️

Such dry mouth @MyBreadIsEggy It's driving me mad!

boodles101 · 09/02/2019 09:34

Spoke too soon about feeling normal. Did the hoovering before leaving for work, got all hot and sweaty doing it, then threw up in the car. Now just feel all weak and shakey. Hope I don't throw up at work.

TwittleBee · 09/02/2019 09:43

Welcome to all the newcomers! As someone pointed out already, there is a Google Doc (link in OP) so feel free to add yourselves in and it's a good place to get to know where everyone is at too!

Hope work is okay and no sick boodles !!!

I've had a super sicky morning. Still can't manage grocery shopping

@LPMD could you add me to the Facebook please, I think a few people are asking up the thread. Thank you! X

abi2790 · 09/02/2019 11:03

Oh is there a fb group? Can I join?

I just made the mistake of weighing myself. If anything I am eating less because of the constant nausea (although that seems to have stopped in the last week) but have somehow managed to pile about 3 kilos on 😭😭🤮🤮

Karigan195 · 09/02/2019 12:45

Yep about the same here. I don’t think there is much We can do about it. I’m even trying to eat healthy. We had a family cinema night with Pizza Hut at the request of my son yesterday and they are scoffing full on meat feasts and I ate 3/4 of healthy flatbread pizza but still weighed more the next day. It’s just more fluid and a baby and we just have to accept it 😕

MunchyMunchkin · 09/02/2019 13:18

If you want to join the fbook you need to friend Leyla Preston and then send her a message to say it’s for sept babies.

Her profile picture is her and her two kids.

abi2790 · 09/02/2019 14:05

Sent a message. I hope it's the right person 😂

boodles101 · 09/02/2019 14:24

I survived work with no puking and cane home to a letter for my scan date woohoo! 10th March which is a Sunday, didn't even realise they did them on a Sunday! But means avoiding time off for work for me and DH.

April88 · 09/02/2019 14:25

Just had another reassurance scan and all looked good! Was meant to be 10 weeks 2 days but they’ve put me at 11 weeks 1 day. Going to tell my parents now

LaBelleSausage · 09/02/2019 14:30

Had the scan today and all is looking good! Amazing what a difference a few days makes though - had one with DS when he was 8+2 and it’s amazing quality and you can really see him.
This time we could still see the yolk sac at 7+5, and although we saw a heartbeat the baby seemed so much smaller and less clear.
It’s probably because I’m fatter this time around! Still, so nice to see him/her 😍

daydreamdaisy · 09/02/2019 14:49

Had a reassurance scan today too - had already had one a few weeks ago. Scan today measured 9+4 when I thought I was 9+6 based on measurements at last scan, sonographer said that the earlier ones can be a bit less accurate so nothing to worry about being 2 days out, but I'm still panicking!
Heart was there beating normally but I can't help panicking a tiny bit!

Fortheloveofscience · 09/02/2019 14:55

All good here too - seen a smudge with a heart beat, measuring bang on the 8w I should be.

happydays00 · 09/02/2019 15:30

@daydreamdaisy the early scans can be up to 7 days out. If you saw a heartbeat I really don't think you need to panic over 2 days

daydreamdaisy · 09/02/2019 15:35

Thanks ❤️ wow it was scan central today! Congratulations everyone Thanks

hodgeheg92 · 09/02/2019 15:47

Lovely to hear about the scans! Had our scan today too, measuring exactly right to date of conception (the day we decided to start trying, DH is very proud of his efficiency). However the sonographer spent more time on a 4cm cyst that she found on my ovary than she did on the little one. She wasn't happy with the way it looks and told me to see the GP asap which has put a huge dampener on what should have been a happy moment. We told DHs parents and they were pleased but nowhere near as happy as the first time round. It's just more routine now you've done it once it seems.

@LaBelleSausage Our scan wasn't as clear this time either and DDs was 2 weeks earlier than this one. I'm blaming the wee I had an hour before though Grin

Karigan195 · 09/02/2019 15:57

@hodgeheg92 they found a cyst on me too. Apparently they are just one of those things that happen with early pregnancy. I’ve had two scans, one nhs and one private and both just said it’ll probably go by itself but they’ll monitor.

Karigan195 · 09/02/2019 16:01

Have a look at this hodgeheg

Megan2018 · 09/02/2019 16:01

Congrats with all the scans everyone! 10 days until mine, getting so twitchy.
At hairdressers and she’s just told me she’s 15wks, dying to say something but won’t in case we get bad news.

DustyDoorframes · 09/02/2019 16:12

Ugh, first trimester can't be much fun for hairdressers! I'm feeling sicker with each pregnancy...

Easterbuns1 · 09/02/2019 16:33

Congratulations on all the positive scans today Smile

daydreamdaisy · 09/02/2019 16:56

@hodgeheg92 I have a big cyst too - 6cm! Hence why I had the previous scan. I was reassured by the pregnancy unit and they are watching and waiting as often they go down by 12 weeks. If it doesn't then I think they may take action then, but I was definitely told it wasn't anything to panic about, you'd know if it burst or twisted as you'd be in lots of pain. Hope that reassures.

Karigan195 · 09/02/2019 17:02

Mine was 6cm first scan and 4.8 second :)
