So the paranoia continues-not feeling noticeably tired here. Hmmm.
Did vomit doing the litter tray this morning (meant to be DH job now but he forgot), but felt fine after. Why am I not tired?!
Massively bloated though and one (why only 1?!) boob gone veiny (although they’ve not grown more since week 5).
I am struggling with drinks though, definitely dehydrated. Used to drink lots of water and dilute squash but have a complete aversion to squash and finding water tough going. I crave original lucozade though. No appetite at all.
I wish I was more textbook.

Glad it went well @Karigan. Great news! You are nearly there.

hodgeheg92 · 06/02/2019 05:35

@megan2018 having had a fairly symptom free pregnancy last time I wish this was the same again! Looking after a 1yr old and feeling like this is awful. I know you'd like the reassurance of symptoms though.

Thanks for the advice and experiences everyone. I haven't seen the midwife yet but if the sickness continues today I'll go to the docs. Hope everyone has a good day

TwittleBee · 06/02/2019 06:00

It's quite common for one boob to be more sore/veiny/bigger than the other Megan ! It's why I actually thought I had something like breast cancer during my first pregnancy before I took a test and realised I wasn't gonna die I was just pregnant! It's also why there is an old wives take for a right boob being like this means a boy and the left is a girl. So don't worry about that as odd as it is!

Last night I was asleep by 7.30pm! Blimey! Think the relief of seeing my healthy litre bean took it out of me.

Thanks @TwittleBee! It’ll be a boy then....

Actually had a dreadful night so going to be really tired today-got 3hrs sleep. Went to bed at 10 but couldn’t settle, had horrible indigestion. Listened to podcasts for a bit then my stomach started growling in hunger, had to get up at 1am and 2am to raid kitchen-but with the indigestion actually eating anything was horrible and did feel nauseous. Ended up with TV on until 3:30 then eventually dropped off.
Starving again ths morning so appetite has definitely returned! Hmm.
At least night time hunger is normal I’ve read-hurrah!

TwittleBee · 06/02/2019 07:19

That's certainly pregnancy symptoms for you Megan ! Really struggled with insomnia in last pregnancy!

Lol mine will be a girl on the boob theory. I ticked the box to find out in chromosome testing so will test that theory in 7 days.,

daydreamdaisy · 06/02/2019 08:08

@Megan2018 I feel your pain on the night time hunger! I keep waking up around 1-2am needing a wee and starving hungry, then taking hours to settle back to sleep. scared I'll be the size of a house in 7 months time!! Shock

MyBreadIsEggy · 06/02/2019 08:08

Woke up, popped a cyclizine and I’ve not been sick! For the first time in weeks Grin

ButtonTum · 06/02/2019 08:21

Glad to head you your good news @Karigan195

@Megan2018 I've had the same - night wakings when one minute I'm fine the next I'm ravenous. Also the insomnia by tri 3 last time was a joke 😴

boodles101 · 06/02/2019 08:49

Ahh amazing mybreadiseggy fingers crossed it continues to work and you feel pretty normal again.
I've got a very sore shoulder this morning, have had it on and off for a few weeks now but today is very painful. I've had a similar thing before a few years ago and I am guessing it's down to sleeping on it and probably got worse now due to hormones etc. But there's a niggle in the back of my mind about it being a sign of ectopic. No awful cramping or bleeding and Google says the shoulder pain would be the last symptom. Plus I'm 8 weeks tomorrow so surely I'd be past the stage of possible ectopic.

Sydneysider2019 · 06/02/2019 08:54

@Karigan195 ooh, exciting about finding out gender soon! Is this through NIPT? I will be doing NIPT soon too (currently 8+4) but undecided whether I want to find out gender. Husband does not want to know (at this point)

Easterbuns1 · 06/02/2019 08:57

@MyBreadIsEggy good news hope it continues!

@boodles101 mine is the same and has been for a while, I had same worry but well I worry about everything then try and put it to the back of my mind. My knee has been sore too, I think it's just everything softening and stretching and not being able to get comfy at night isn't helping.

I'm exhausted today! I've been on good form the last couple of days and actually been successfully adulting, but today I just want to go back to bed! Will give myself a boot up the backside once I've caught up on mumsnet!

boodles101 · 06/02/2019 09:10

easterbuns yes I think it is just probably an old injury that's been aggravated by everything stretching and it is the side I sleep on. Just that little niggle that keeps worrying me about it.

stroan · 06/02/2019 09:10

Great news @mybreadiseggy

Night time hunger is rubbish, I have a stock of chocolate biscuits and jelly sweets next to my bed. If I'm too hungry at bedtime, I can't sleep. If I wake up and feel hungry, I can't get back to sleep. DD woke me at 2.30am to tell me about turtle eggs, so I had to have a biscuit and then she had a tantrum because she wanted one too.

Karigan195 · 06/02/2019 09:13

@Sydneysider2019

Yes it is through NIPT

porge123 · 06/02/2019 09:19

@TwittleBee congrats on seeing your little bean! It's such an amazing feeling!!

@Karigan195 if you don't mind me asking, how many weeks will you be when you have this test? I did not know (although I know it's not the sole purpose) that you could be tested for something that can also tell you the gender. First time mum and struggling to stay on track will all the different tests we can have. I'm sure midwife will thoroughly go through with them at booking appt?..

On the symptom note, been so poorly the last 2 weeks however, this week is so much better. Last week I couldn't eat anything without feeling sick and heaving along with feeling like I had the flu. This week I'm eating as soon as I get up and little and often although still dry heaving sometimes in the morning and feeling sick sometimes if I don't eat little and often. Usually tend to have an acid taste at the back of my throat, anyone else had this?

BBell2 · 06/02/2019 09:26

Feeccckkkk! sort of new boss, once we finish negotiating wants me to go to london to do a presentation on the 18th....my booking in appt.

And the only chuffing day my midwife is in the area.

I do not want to tell work till I absolutely have to.

DustyDoorframes · 06/02/2019 09:40

Brilliant news eggy!!!
And arrrgh @BBell2 is the 18th particularly significant for work? Can you claim a long awaited hospital appointment? Hopefully things will take longer getting your new boss in place and it will slide???

stroan · 06/02/2019 09:56

I am most definitely showing now. I'm somewhere around the 10 week mark and fully in maternity clothes now.

Had a couple of knowing looks from the other mums in the office this morning. Roll on next weeks scan so I can finally admit why I need to snack every half hour!

BBell2 · 06/02/2019 10:06

@Dusty yeah its a bit of a big deal planned in months ago by my pre-dessesor - im doing the work just assumed he would present it....Long awaited hospital appointment it is - its not even a lie! Will be over 10 weeks and cannot wait.

Karigan195 · 06/02/2019 10:09

@porge123

You can have the NIPT from 10weeks. It’s a test for chromosome abnormalities. I had it because I’m 41 so at higher risk of the baby having downs etc hence why I have had it.

porge123 · 06/02/2019 10:31

@Karigan195 ohhh I see! Thankyou for explaining Xx

ButtonTum · 06/02/2019 11:24

Wow @MyBreadIsEggy what a relief. Fingers crossed it stays that way for you

MunchyMunchkin · 06/02/2019 11:43

Glad to hear everyone’s sickness is getting better and lots of nice scan results!

I just had to scoff down some crackers in my office as was feeling particularly grim this morning. Hopefully I can rally for the afternoon clinic as it’s going to be a busy one.
