Brilliant @twittlebee

DustyDoorframes · 05/02/2019 15:41

Oh twittle that's brilliant!!!!! Phew!!!
And eggy yay for new meds!! Why are they so keen not to give you metaclopramide I wonder? Have they discovered some new potential side effects since your last pregnancy?? It seems so odd! Fingers tightly crossed the new ones do the trick!

Easterbuns1 · 05/02/2019 15:46

That's great Twittle!
karigan how did you get on?

Karigan195 · 05/02/2019 18:04

Sorry just come out. It was a 5.30 appt.

Little bean was jumping and wiggling throughout the scan. The ultrasound man said it looks good and healthy so far but obviously need to wait for the blood results which will be 7 working days.

Lost two days this time and this guy thinks I’m 10+4. Baby did a push and jump so he got a good measurement.

Had a hilarious moment of having to wiggle my butt to try to get baby to turn 😂

I’ll post a picture when I get home :)

Whisky2014 · 05/02/2019 18:14

Oh thata great! Must have been so good to see and such a relief.
I am 10+4 too and scan is next Tues :) can't wait.

boodles101 · 05/02/2019 18:43

Great news karigan good luck for the results next week.
I had half a booking appt today. Weighed myself to discover and face the realisation of stuffing my face since Xmas. I've always been slim and steady weight but I've just piled it all on over the last 2 months. Seriously need to stop pigging out now or I'll be a house end within no time.

LaBelleSausage · 05/02/2019 18:49

Lovely news Twittlebee and karigan!

I’m still waiting on my slapped cheek blood test results. They are at my surgery but my gp is on leave and so no one has made a comment on them, which means reception can’t/won’t tell me what the results are.

They do have a buddy system but the buddy hasn’t done any of the holiday cover work, so despite the fact my test was prioritiesed as urgent, I may have to wait until next week.
I just wish I could stop worrying!

BBell2 · 05/02/2019 19:38

Good news both @Twittlebee and @karigan Smile.

I have got so big/bloated that my Jean's burst open in the office today. I swear my boss saw. Hopefully as were had been discussing how many brownies we had each put away yesterday he just thinks I had too many!

DustyDoorframes · 05/02/2019 19:53

LaBelle that's outrageous!!!!

@boodles101 I put on 20kg with my first...

Tefiti2 · 05/02/2019 20:00

@LaBelleSausage that’s ridiculous! Surely there’s another GP in the practice who will log on and take a quick look?! I’d definitely kick up a stink with reception tomorrow!

hodgeheg92 · 05/02/2019 20:23

Has anyone had to take time off work with sickness? I have only managed to keep a bowl of plain rice down today (at dinner time) and haven't done a single house job, let alone a full day, solo, with a class of 32 10 yr olds Sad I have no energy and am dreading what tomorrow will bring.

stroan · 05/02/2019 20:55

@hodgeheg92 yes, plus extra days working from home. The doctor offered to sign me off as well. That’s just with nausea, though. I’m rarely sick.

Maybe worth a chat with a doctor or your midwife?

Hsunshine · 05/02/2019 21:10

@hodgeheg92 I’ve had one off but for various reasons haven’t done any full weeks for a while which helps. I am really starting to struggle with being exhausted now too

Sydneysider2019 · 05/02/2019 21:43

@hedgehog92
I've had several days off work in the last few weeks. I primarily have nausea and fatigue but it has been quite debilitating some days. One day I came in to work, and just knew I wouldn't be able to get through the day so finished what needed to be done that day and left at lunchtime. The bad news for me is I don't have any sick days so any time I have off work is not paid.
