Good luck today @twittlebee, will be thinking of you Flowers

10+3 today, relived to be in double digits and counting down until our 12 week scan. Keep thinking it’s all going to come crumbling down and there won’t be a heartbeat, especially as I’ve been feeling so well, but I know that’s slightly irrational...

DustyDoorframes · 05/02/2019 08:08

Someone shared this site on another thread- it's a very reassuring site which shows how very likely it is that we WON'T have miscarriages and calculates your own, excellent, odds.

Thinking of you today @TwittleBee !!

Easterbuns1 · 05/02/2019 08:27

@TwittleBee hope all goes well today!

I'm reading every day but don't really have much to report. Going by ovulation I'm 9 weeks today so still another 3 to wait for my scan. Swinging between feeling awful and then days where I feel great and worry about that too!

excitednerves · 05/02/2019 08:29

Thinking of you @twittlebee. Good luck today. X I really hope everything is OK. Try not to blame yourself, that’s a normal reaction to trauma, especially if you’re worried about a tiny baby too. Fingers crossed for today.

@Tefiti2 - I’m the same. Scan next Tuesday and had a dream/nightmare last night that they couldn’t find a heartbeat. Couldn’t get back to sleep. Just praying everything is OK. I did not expect this level of worry.

Karigan195 · 05/02/2019 08:35

Hope everything goes ok today Twittlebee.

I have my NIPT today. Kind of terrified. Just hope my little bean is alright!

I’ve seen a few posts recently where a chromosome disorder has been found. I feel so much for those mums

Easterbuns1 · 05/02/2019 08:55

Hope that goes well @Karigan195, how long do you have to wait for the results?

Megan2018 · 05/02/2019 09:01

Good luck @Karigan195
Hope the results wait not too long!

Fortheloveofscience · 05/02/2019 09:09

Will be keeping everything crossed for you today TwittleBee and Karigan.

I’m still reading each day but nothing to share, 7+4 and time has slowed to a standstill.

stroan · 05/02/2019 09:17

Good luck today Karigan195 and Twittlebee.

I’m feeling the same worries about chromosome disorders. It seems that the worries about miscarriage have just transferred onto something else. Will be glad when next weeks scan is done.

TwittleBee · 05/02/2019 09:36

Karigan Good luck with the results!

stroan I dont think we will ever stop worrying... even once they are here...

Good luck today Twittle

I’m back in the doctors later this morning, I’ll be literally begging for the meds I had with my previously DCs. I’ve been sick 4 times this morning already Confused

TwittleBee · 05/02/2019 09:39

yeah you cant go on like that MyBreadIsEggy I bloody hope they listen to you and help

Karigan195 · 05/02/2019 09:42

@stroan

Pretty sure that as soon as you get over one worry your brain just finds a new one.

It would be so great if we could just have some kind of external sign so you know everything will be fine!

stroan · 05/02/2019 09:54

Good luck @mybreadiseggy it’s really not right that they known you have experience of those meds and won’t prescribe them.

The RCOG guidelines are quite clear about treatment in subsequent pregnancies.

Women with previous HG should be advised that there is a risk of recurrence in future pregnancies.
Early use of lifestyle/dietary modifications and antiemetics that were found to be useful in the index pregnancy is advisable to reduce the risk of NVP and HG in the current pregnancy.”

MyBreadIsEggy · 05/02/2019 09:58

stroan thanks for that!
Do you have a source link?!

stroan · 05/02/2019 10:04

Here you go: www.rcog.org.uk/globalassets/documents/guidelines/green-top-guidelines/gtg69-hyperemesis.pdf

Read it while I couldn’t lift my head from the pillow at the weekend and was desperate for some help!

MyBreadIsEggy · 05/02/2019 10:05

Thankyou stroan 😘

boodles101 · 05/02/2019 10:07

Good luck today twittlebee and karigan
Nothing really to report here, feeling Ok just exhausted. Got my booking in appt today so finally feels like things are a bit real.

MyBreadIsEggy · 05/02/2019 11:20

I’m back and have been prescribed Cyclizine to be taken 3 times a day - never tried it before so fingers crossed it works!

happydays00 · 05/02/2019 12:36

@MyBreadIsEggy if that doesn't work I would really recommend giving Pregnancy Sickness Support a call. They are absolutely lovely and also can offer some invaluable advice on both available drugs and managing it. Hope cyclizine works for you!!

MyBreadIsEggy · 05/02/2019 13:54

happydays I used their website a lot in both previous pregnancies Smile I feel like I should know what I’m doing by now, but apparently not!! Blush

ButtonTum · 05/02/2019 15:07

Good luck today @TwittleBee and @Karigan195 Thinking of you both.

Still feeling rough here with the bug but also have creeping scanxiety about my early scan on Thursday 😬

hodgeheg92 · 05/02/2019 15:09

@twittlebee I hope you've been scanned by now and everything is okay.

Couldn't go swimming, wasn't able to keep anything down this morning. So far a piece of dried toast has stayed put. How on earth do I go to work tomorrow? I haven't managed to even put some washing on today.

TwittleBee · 05/02/2019 15:28

Good news! Measuring 7+5 as expected, saw heartbeat and everything looked good. So relieved.
