Booked NIPT for 20th Feb, will be 10+3 hopefully.
It scan doesn’t agree with dates have to go back, as have to be 10+

Had a lot of tears last night as I just din’t feel pg at all and am convinced nothing is developing in there. I know there is every possibility it is fine but I just don’t have good vibes at all. DH and I are bickering as he just doesn’t get it. I know he cares but it comes out badly and sets me off, he said something that suggested that my worrying will make something bad happen-I know he wasn’t being literal but I went crackers and accused him of thinking that if I miscarry it’s all my fault for worrying.

At least in 19 days I’ll know if there is anything visble there, then NHS scan is 11 days later.

Whisky2014 · 01/02/2019 11:25

Oh megan that's so sweet and yeh it will be a bit of a shock for them. Poor kitties but as you say, they will survive. They have a nice cosy home with loving parents :)

last pregnancy I dreamt I’d given birth to a litter of red setter puppies omg I laughed at that! But also, kind of want that to happen :D

Karigan195 · 01/02/2019 11:27

Megan for your own piece of mind why don’t you go get an early private scan? It’s around £80/90. If there’s availability you could be finding out tonight and then you could sort your NIPT out knowing it’s definitely fine on dates.

I was convinced I’d get to the scan Tuesday and would have had a mmc. It was so good to see that little heartbeat.

For your own piece of mind I think I’d just do it if I were you. Private do evening appointments too. 💐

Whisky2014 · 01/02/2019 11:28

I messaged my brother yesterday and he asked if all was ok. I said I can't help but worry. He replied "fucking hell you worry at everything" but it is a worry and it does seem like people don't understand (only those who've been through it). And it does come with some guilt because it's us that's growing them!

You're spot on Whisky

Yes @Megan2018, would it be worth booking a private scan some time in the next couple of days as @Karigan195 suggested? It sounds as if you're really worried. Flowers

The one I'm planning on going to is only £39 for an early reassurance scan. If they're not as cheap near you it could be worth looking at Groupon or Wowcher?

Karigan195 · 01/02/2019 11:45

How are you doing Twittlebee? Is the concussion better? Crossing fingers your little bean is fine. There is a good chance he/she is so try to rest and not worry 💐

stroan · 01/02/2019 12:08

@megan2018 I also recommend a reassurance scan, you sound very nervous. I only paid £45 for mine and had it the same day.

@whisky2014 I had an interesting conversation with my Mum about the worry because she said she didn’t remember worrying so much. I am very fortunate not to have experienced a MC but I think people talk about it more now, so it feels more common. I know which of my friends have sadly had one, but 30 years ago they probably wouldn’t have discussed it. I think it’s a good thing that we can be more open now but it does contribute to the worry.

Tefiti2 · 01/02/2019 12:53

Oh @twittlebee that sounds absolutely awful :-( so sorry you have to wait until Tuesday for a scan! I hope your weekend goes quickly so that you can see a healthy little baby at your scan.

Megan2018 · 01/02/2019 13:08

Don’t want a private scan now, having one at 10+3 for NIPT. I have to travel over an hour as live rurally, and NIPT is £400 as it is.

Reassurance scan will only reassure me for 5 mins, and might cause more worry if it’s not clear. I’m not a fan, my MW not either.

I just need to get through the next 19 days, if I felt pg it’d help though!

porge123 · 01/02/2019 13:54

Hi guys,
Haven't been on for so long, what a hectic week it's been! Last Friday I had an early scan due to bad pain below, was told I had an empty sac as they could not see anything and to come back next week (today) for another scan. Hospital called on Monday to have blood tests ASAP and had to go in Wednesday also.
Was a bag of nerves going in today however, found out today that all is fine and seen the baby's heartbeat which was amazing!! measured me at 7+3 too which was a little more than I thought! Hope you're all okay xx

ButtonTum · 01/02/2019 14:25

@porge123 that's great news! So satisfying after your worrying previous scan I bet.

@TwittleBee shit that's awful! Hope they catch the bastard. How are you feeling now?

porge123 · 01/02/2019 18:26

Thankyou @ButtonTum it was such a relief!! such a surreal feeling seeing it on the screen for the first time!

excitednerves · 01/02/2019 18:45

@twittlebee oh my goodness! I hope you are OK, and baby's OK too. Hoping Tuesday doesn't take an age to come around. x

BeeYouTiful · 01/02/2019 20:44

Oh how horrific @TwittleBee fingers crossed for you on Tuesday. I hope karma catches up with the guy!

BBell2 · 01/02/2019 20:49

@twittlebee that's awful!! I hope you recover yourself (definaltly a feet up kind of weekend) and see baby all healthy and jumping on Tuesday. Wish you could go sooner!

@Porge123 you must feel brilliant, well done for keeping strong this week X

ButtonTum · 01/02/2019 21:34

Porge that also makes us EDD buddies now!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 01/02/2019 21:39

@LaBelleSausage I thought my DD (21m) had it recently so I had a blood test last Saturday. Came back negative for immunity (poo) and negative for antibodies (yay), but GP still wants me to have another test in a few weeks as apparently it can take a month to produce sufficient antibodies to show in blood - so back to dressing about it!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 01/02/2019 21:43

*stressing!

LaBelleSausage · 01/02/2019 22:07

Oh no Bridget, that outcome hasn’t even occurred to me. What a horrible stress. Can they not test DD to see if she actually had it? The GP told me it’s actually quite rare, but I’m not so sure about that, seems fairly common

PastaSauceHoarder · 01/02/2019 22:10

Feeling really anxious right now, I felt a bit more positive this week but today its gone right down... Absolutely terrified of losing this baby. Sad

I've had no bleeding, no pain, sickness, everything on the outside looks great. But I'm so scared that I'm going to get to my scan and be told that its stopped growing... It happened to my friend and she had no idea so surely it could happen to me to?

Sorry for the negativity but just felt I needed to write it down. Don't really have anyone to properly talk to about this, my DH is being positive which is lovely but doesn't really help if that makes sense?

porge123 · 01/02/2019 22:21

@BBell2 Thankyou so much!

@ButtonTum oh wow! Is your edd the 17th? I'm just trying to work out when mine will be now as had all apps set as 22nd but now after scan they've told me I'm further gone so not sure...

@PastaSauceHoarder my partner did the same and tried reassuring me/keeping positive which at the time I just wanted someone to feel worried with me!! It's the worst feeling not knowing xx

ButtonTum · 01/02/2019 23:39

Porge yes 17th 🤗

BBell2 · 02/02/2019 07:37

Not sure I ate anything this week that wasn't beige. Beige has been keeping the nausea away, but I ate so much shit yesterday I was rotten all night. Healthy eating resolution this week!!! No more crisps and biscuits instead of meals.🙄

boodles101 · 02/02/2019 08:54

I'm undecided whether to get an early scan or not. My mum gets married in 4 weeks when I'll be 11+2 so unlikely to have had my nhs scan by then. I'd like to tell her as a surprise, but I wouldn't be announcing to everyone on the day as it's her day. It's only a small family get together of around 10 people. I've found a scan for £39 That I could have the weekend before. But something just makes me unsure about it? I dunno if I should just wait til nhs and then tell her when she's back from honeymoon. Would you get the early one or wait?
