@Fortheloveofscience
I woke up at 4 and can’t sleep. Just done next weeks Ocado shop. Going to put the Archers podcast on now as might drift off.
All 3 cats snoring on the bed (DH has own room), barely enough room for me in a superking! No snow yet-gutted. Would love a snow day.

This is my 3rd insomnia night but not consecutive luckily!

Sydneysider2019 · 01/02/2019 05:21

@stroan my saving grace has been popsicles (juice based, no dairy)
I go through about 2-3 a day.

Sydneysider2019 · 01/02/2019 05:23

@Whisky2014 I read the public health advice re folic acid didn't start until 1992.

excitednerves · 01/02/2019 05:24

I’m also awake. Woke up worried about my scan. 11 days to go and I’m so worried it will be bad news. I know this is totally irrational, and there’s nothing I can do either way but you just can’t help it, can you?

I’ve had ups and downs in symptoms and now well into week 9 I feel normal.

Sorry for those whose sickness has got worse! It must be awful.

Karigan195 · 01/02/2019 07:23

Not loving the vivid dreams right now either. Dreamt I had my baby and he/she had 3 eyes 🤦‍♀️

Lavellan · 01/02/2019 08:56

I've booked a private scan, bit nervous about it. Mostly that they won't find anything and I'll have to stew for a month waiting for NHS one. The reviews for the place are decent though. I'll be 9wks hopefully they won't have too much trouble.

stroan · 01/02/2019 09:02

9 weeks should be absolutely fine. I had a scan at 5+5 and they found a heartbeat, 9 weeks will be much clearer. Good luck.

stroan · 01/02/2019 09:02

@sydneysider2019 yes! The midwife recommended them yesterday, I’ve got some in the freezer right now.

Karigan195 · 01/02/2019 09:10

9 weeks they should see a heart beat. Just drink plenty before the scan and don’t pee until after so your bladder pushes the baby up. Had mine last Tuesday at 9+2 and got to see a clear heartbeat and a wiggling jumping little bean.

Karigan195 · 01/02/2019 09:11

Got my NIPT Tuesday coming. Getting kind of terrified!

Fortheloveofscience · 01/02/2019 09:59

I finally got to sleep at 7ish, DH woke me at 7.30 then I slept 8.15-9. Not really satisfactory.

Karigan I dreamt that I went into labour at my dating scan and my baby looked like a pink cricket with a top hat Confused.

PastaSauceHoarder · 01/02/2019 10:04

Also had a very disruptive sleep over here! If it wasn't me waking up for no reason it was the toddler. We co-sleep and we just kept each other up - I think she's coming down with something.

Also rushed off to the bathroom to throw up this morning, she followed me in and then started crying because she was scared. Felt so guilty, poor little thing.

MyBreadIsEggy · 01/02/2019 10:11

Update on the medication:

It knocked me clean out by 8:30pm.
Woke up this morning and still threw up Hmm

Can’t say I’m impressed with it!

Karigan195 · 01/02/2019 10:34

@Fortheloveofscience. Gosh that’s even wierder than mine 😂😂😂

Whisky2014 · 01/02/2019 10:38

Oh dear eggy, not good. Will you go back to Dr?

Thanks sydney I thought it was earlier because my friend Who is same age said his mum took it.

karigan not long to go THEN, that's exciting!

I also have insomnia and also having very weird and vivid dreams.

megan i want 3 cats on my king size bed. Stamps foot. I just have a snoring husband :(

TwittleBee · 01/02/2019 10:49

Sorry I've been absent! Been a crazy couple days. Been in a car crash (guy hit and run!) And had bleeding too as well as concussion etc. No clue if baby is okay as they told me to wait till Tuesday for my scan. Terrified as I had a car crash last pregnancy that ended in MMC.... dates of stopped growth matched the car crash too.

PastaSauceHoarder · 01/02/2019 10:52

Bloody hell @TwittleBee, thats awful! I hope you're okay now!

God Tuesday must feel like an age away, couldn't they have seen you any sooner in circumstances like that? Sending lots of good vibes, hope all is absolutely fine. 💛

MyBreadIsEggy · 01/02/2019 10:55

She said it might take a few days to kick in, so I’ll give it the weekend, and if still no change then I’ll go back

Whisky2014 · 01/02/2019 11:03

Everything crossed for you twittle, that's horrendous. Did they catch the guy?

Ok hope it works eggy!

I was in a really low mood last night I had to go downstairs to cry to myself. :( feel better today though.

KLane · 01/02/2019 11:14

How awful @TwittleBee People are absolutely shocking sometimes. Hope you're able to rest a lot this weekend!

Megan2018 · 01/02/2019 11:15

@Whisky2014
If this pg sticks the cats are going to be livid at being kicked out for 6 months-I made myself cry thinking about it Blush
My baby boy cat has slept with me every night since we got him at 8 weeks ild (he is 3) and my old lady cat has slept next to my pillow every night since she came from Cats Protection 8 years ago (she is 17) I know they will survive but it makes me so upset. The third one not so fussed but the other 2 will cry more than a newborn I bet!

DH won’t share a bed with me because I have a sleep disorder, we are lucky to have 3 large bedrooms so 2 masters and a guest/baby room. But I get the cats as they fidget too much for him Smile

Megan2018 · 01/02/2019 11:16

@TwittleBee
Oh gosh, that is awful-so unlucky for you to be in 2 crashes. Really hope you are ok, everything crossed for the scan!

LaBelleSausage · 01/02/2019 11:17

@TwittleBee that’s awful, will be thinking of you.

Managed to give my blood sample this morming without throwing up on the phlebotomist so I’ll take that as a win. Results will hopefully be in Monday/Tuesday so I’ll know if the slapped cheek is a potential problem soon.

I could do with hibernating all weekend but DS has three birthday parties to go to. I hope there’s cake!

LaBelleSausage · 01/02/2019 11:19

@Karigan195 last pregnancy I dreamt I’d given birth to a litter of red setter puppies. That wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world but I’d have a job proving their pedigree status!

stroan · 01/02/2019 11:20

That’s awful @Twittlebee hope you can have a relaxing weekend and Tuesday comes round quickly. Such a worrying time for you.

@mybreadiseggy that’s a shame. I’m on my 4th set now, the midwife in hospital yesterday said that if they are going to work, I would notice within 48 hours.
