@MyBreadIsEggy I hope they do the trick!

stroan · 31/01/2019 11:56

@mybreadiseggy which ones do you have? The drowsiness definitely takes a few days to get used to

MyBreadIsEggy · 31/01/2019 12:20

These ones.
Clearly an anti-histamine, but work for sickness too apparently

stroan · 31/01/2019 12:59

@mybreadiseggy they are normally anti-histamines I think. I’ll add that one to my list of ones to beg the doctor for if these ones don’t start working soon

happydays00 · 31/01/2019 14:22

@MyBreadIsEggy those are the ones I'm on too! They've really worked for me so I hope you get some relief from them too 🤞

happydays00 · 31/01/2019 14:23

@MyBreadIsEggy you could try sucking on mints or boiled sweets until tonight. I have found previously this helped reduce the amount I was vomiting

ButtonTum · 31/01/2019 15:55

Sorry to all of you suffering from hideous MS. Mine has definitely damped up in recent days (am 7+2).
Have had to leave work to pick up poor DS from nursery this afternoon, he's had a temp of 38.5, shaking and clutching his stomach. They think the latter was poo related but still worried and keeping an eye. Also secretly very pleased to have been able to leave work and enjoying cuddles on the sofa with him (he's done me a solid today!).

Whisky2014 · 31/01/2019 16:14

Hope you feel better eggybread.
Hope your son is ok button.

I asked my midwife what my blood type is abd she just messaged to say A negative which means I need a injection further down the line Confused

Hsunshine · 31/01/2019 17:42

I got my scan appointment letter for 12 week and one for the 20 week... have others had both together?

abi2790 · 31/01/2019 17:45

Is anybody else suffering with headaches? I've had a really awful one since yesterday

Lp6891 · 31/01/2019 17:57

Abi yes I’ve had two really bad headaches this week, one Tuesday one today... hoping it is just a passing phase...

LaBelleSausage · 31/01/2019 18:47

Urgh, we think 14mo DS May have slapped cheek, so I’m off for a blood test at the hospital tomorrow.
I’m sure all will be fine but I just know I’m barely going to sleep for worry

Whisky2014 · 31/01/2019 18:52

It's all gone pete tong for everyone.

Sending cups of tea and cake CakeBrew

Fortheloveofscience · 31/01/2019 18:54

Oh no, LaBelle, hope you manage to rest and not worry too much. I’m sure it’ll all be fine.

HSunshine I had my letter today too! And yes, was given dates for both. Been a busy day, also had my MW call and arrange booking in for a week Tuesday when I’ll be 8.5 weeks.

Easterbuns1 · 31/01/2019 19:00

@Hsunshine I had my booking appointment today and she said dating scan would come in post and that I had to make my appointment for my anomaly scan when I came out of the dating one, so definitely one at a time here. Very organised sending out both together!

April88 · 31/01/2019 19:15

@whisky2014 I spoke to my midwife at my booking in appointment as I knew I was A-. They said they’ll do a blood test at my 16 week appointment to see whether the baby is rhesus negative or positive and only if they are positive will I get the injection

Maybe not all trusts do that? She did say if I bleed after 12 weeks/knock my stomach to phone them straight away

Whisky2014 · 31/01/2019 19:37

Oh thanks for the info april.

Megan2018 · 31/01/2019 19:47

Got my scan date through, disappointingly not until 12+1 (trust usually scans at 11) so definitely going to have to go elsewhere for NIPT now (hospital offers it privately but only after dating scan). That’s too long to wait for me in case of bad news-I don’t want to have a termination post 14 weeks. So more money and an hour+ to travel. Sad
I know 12+1 is prefectly normal and with NHS beggars can’t be choosers so not really moaning-but just wish it was sooner! This wait is agony.

abi2790 · 31/01/2019 19:50

I hope it goes ok LaBelle.

I've developed a lot of pain in my left hand. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, is it too early for carpal tunnel? I had it with ds but not until third trimester and I don't think I got it at all with dd.

SJP3 · 31/01/2019 20:06

Hello all, I'd like to join you. I'm 7+5 and have my booking in appointment on Monday. I have a 12 month old son and this pregnancy already feels totally different to my last one...

ButtonTum · 31/01/2019 21:01

@LaBelleSausage oh sorry to hear about the slapped cheek. Fingers crossed for you

ButtonTum · 31/01/2019 21:02

I feel you @Megan2018 I had my scan with DS at 12+5! Felt like 12+5years

KLane · 31/01/2019 21:17

We had a private scan tonight and all looks good! It took me from 7+1 to 7+5 so hurrah for skipping 4 days Grin I'll be grateful for those 4 fewer days at the end.

stroan · 31/01/2019 21:59

@klane you definitely well! My dates went backwards last time 🙄

My midwife sent me to hospital this afternoon - she thought I was probably dehydrated. They’ve put Hyperemisis in my notes - it turns out you can get it without the actual vomiting. I had an injection which has given me the first tiny bit of relief for nearly a month and new medication.

Mentally, I was so low. I thought I was losing my mind because I should be able to cope and wasn’t. I feel so much lighter now I know that there’s a good reason.

Fortheloveofscience · 01/02/2019 05:01

I’ve abandoned attempts to sleep for the night, woke up at 2am and just couldn’t settle again so finally decided to get up and do something useful. First night of proper insomnia and I’m already fed up! Hopefully it’s a one-off.

Serious snow happening outside at the moment.
