@meepmoop no issue taking them at night.

LaBelleSausage · 30/01/2019 21:57

@meepmoop I can’t see why not. I take them after dinner as I find them easier to tolerate on a full stomach, and usually I’m in bed within the hour so taking them just before bed should be fine.

Congratulations and welcome Smile

Easterbuns1 · 30/01/2019 22:02

@Whisky2014 that's good you've heard it's a good place. I will be in Aberdeen yes, was on west coast with my older 2 and it was great but Aberdeen seems to be such a busy place!

Karigan195 · 31/01/2019 07:45

Oh how I just love starting every morning head over the loo throwing up. I do not like week ten aka 9 weeks 4 days today!

abi2790 · 31/01/2019 07:52

@stroan I know exactly how you feel. I get absolutely no relief from feeling nauseous and wish I could be sick in the hope it would go away!

Whisky2014 · 31/01/2019 07:52

Hehe I'm 9+6, we are soo close!

I feel fine, its so worrying. Just up to get my fruit and yoghurt :) i start new job next week so making most of long lies!

Karigan195 · 31/01/2019 07:58

Lol that’s probably why you feel fine whiskey (not hating you right now honest 😜). I feel fine when I get plenty of rest etc but ms kicks the shit out of me most when I get up at 6.30am for work and school run.

Whisky2014 · 31/01/2019 08:08

Hehe yes I feel bad for those getting up for work, especially in this horrible cold. It will be a shock to system next week I tell you! I'm initially going to be in Aberdeen for training so that's over an hour commute each way. Hopefully learn fast then my journey time is halved. I'm worried about baby brain though! Oh and telling new employer I'm almost 3 months preggers. Fun times!

meepmoop · 31/01/2019 08:57

Thank you, I'll take at night and hopefully that'll be better.

Is anyone else super bloated, I look like I'm 24weeks not 6!

happydays00 · 31/01/2019 09:03

@stroan which medication have you tried? I had Hyperemesis in my last pregnancy and found the Hyperemesis board on here a huge support! They were also invaluable when it came to advice on medication and food/drinks? Are you vomiting as well as having the severe nausea?

Keep trying with the doctors as there are a few combinations they can try. I am pre-emptively taking Phermgan in this pg (on the recommendation of my doctor. It's not one I tried last time and for me I have strong waves of nausea but have not vomited yet.

DustyDoorframes · 31/01/2019 09:21

@meepmoop you don't need to take the huge horse tablets at all, if they are making you feel bad! You just need folic acid for the first 12 weeks or so, and vitamin D throughout- the NHS does some with everything you need which are much smaller, and free in many areas for pregnant women. (These ones - www.healthystart.nhs.uk/for-health-professionals/vitamins/ )

stroan · 31/01/2019 09:41

@abi2790 I’m sorry you are getting no relief either. I was able to function through it in my last pregnancy but I am definitely not functioning this time. I’m normally very much a get on with person, but I’m finding it so debilitating and I’m sad at how much I can’t do with DD just now.

@happydays00 I’ve tried Avomine, Stemetil and I’m now on a new one called Xonvea that is actually licensed for use in pregnancy (it’s been used in Canada for years and is called Diclectin there). They recommend that you increase the dose over 3 days if it doesn’t help immediately. I’m on day 3, and still no noticeable difference. I either need to get a repeat prescription for it tomorrow (don’t have enough for the weekend) or ask the docs for something new. They must be so fed up with me but I feel totally at their mercy. They are willing to let me keep trying but I don’t know what their rationale is for choosing each type of med. will check the hyperemisis threads, I thought I’d be a bit fraudulent to look at them as I’m not actually being sick.

Lavellan · 31/01/2019 09:46

Whisky2014 I've heard wo derful thi gs abort arbroath. Makes me jealous. Aberdeen will be a rotating door I bet. Worries me slightly that they closed for a bit last year. I hope they have recruited some more staff, September is a busy month!

Sadie1989 · 31/01/2019 09:47

@abi2790 I feel exactly the same. Well thankfully my girls are 8 & 5 so are at school but I am feeling very tearful today. I am at home, thankfully I am fortune enough to be able to stay home..I do not know how I would go out to work like this. I am used to having my house in order, having meals ready during the noon whilst they are at school and I can't do any of it atm. I haven't been physically sick yet but I feel it from the second I wake until I go to bed at night. It's been easing slightly at 5pm ish for an hour or so, but that's it. It's definitely affecting my mental health, I think today I am just going to try and sleep through it as much as I can! Xx sending love to all those suffering. we are in it together

boodles101 · 31/01/2019 09:49

Well my breakfast was a complete no this morning and ended up in the toilet. I felt absolutely fine before eating it and then all of a sudden had to run! Hope it's just a one off!

KnobJockey · 31/01/2019 10:31

I'm starving but I feel sick. And apparently I no longer like tea. I don't like this game.

Megan2018 · 31/01/2019 10:46

I’m still feeling very left out!
I know I am potentially just lucky and some people just don’t have symptoms, but I do not feel part of the club at all.
It’s making me feel very low about things Sad. I wish I could just relax.

MrsCatKins · 31/01/2019 10:59

@Megan2018 I'm 8 weeks today and also have no nausea or sickness at all! Just very hungry for everything! Try not to worry, we are hopefully just the lucky ones Smile

pinkpig381 · 31/01/2019 11:07

@Megan2018 @MrsCatKins I'm in the same boat! Part of me wants to be throwing up just so I feel pregnant 😂

Whisky2014 · 31/01/2019 11:20

lavellan oh that's good to know. I agree I think aberdeen will be busy but fingers crossed the service is good.

Easterbuns1 · 31/01/2019 11:29

@Lavellan Aberdeen super busy and made worse by Elgin losing its consultant cover, most people who would have gone there now opting for Aberdeen instead just in case.

Sorry everyone seems to be feeling rough!

MyBreadIsEggy · 31/01/2019 11:30

I’ve given in.
No longer trying to be a hero.
Everything I’ve eaten in the last 24hrs has come straight back out. I’ve been to the GP this morning, and I have ketones in my pee which shows my body is not coping with the sheer amount of vomiting that’s happening. I’ve been prescribed an anti-emetic, thank the Lord!

stroan · 31/01/2019 11:38

@mybreadiseggy fingers crossed it works and quickly. It’s so hard.

GemmaJen · 31/01/2019 11:39

@MyBreadIsEggy hopefully the tablets will bring you some relief.

After saying I didn't have any symptoms, they've hit hard, nausea and inexplicable exhaustion have arrived at 7w. My head feels full of fog and I can't even think straight. Both glad that I'm feeling something and hoping it means the little been is ok, but also just wish I could feel normal for 5 minutes as I have so much to do today.

MyBreadIsEggy · 31/01/2019 11:42

They have drowsiness listed as a potential side effect, so advised to take it at night, allow it to work over night and I should feel right as rain in the morning apparently. So not much help today, but hopefully will help later
