Just want to say congrats to everyone September babes are defo the best 🤪

April88 · 30/01/2019 13:45

I’ve got very few symptoms too!

I’ve had my booking in appointment, just waiting for my scan letter to come through the post. Midwife said they aim for 12 weeks. Hopefully it will soon so I can sort out the time off work, as last minute isn’t ideal.

I’ve got another private scan a week on Saturday when I’ll be 10/nearly 11 weeks so will tell my parents then if all is ok.

Baby Brain!! I ordered new sofas the day I found out I was pg. Spent weeks looking at them, speaking with the seller, selling our old ones etc. They arrived today and I ordered completely wrong ones. Poor seller was amazing, just laughed and said he would come back next week. So if anyone wants a sofa I know someone absolutely awersome in the north west - durhhhhhh

Generally Im feeling rough, just ate some christmas pudding (OH thought it was better to have than late at night when im typically rough) and I feel really sick. Should be nice for my nurses visit in an hour.

Im in Huddersfield by the way, I met a lovely friend on here with my first who lives a stones throw away and our kids go to the same nursery. A splattering of snow this morning.

MyBreadIsEggy · 30/01/2019 15:24

Anyone else having subsequent babies and feeling the pelvic pain already?!
I initially thought I was going mad, but no. I’m definitely feeling horrendous dull aching/grinding in my lower back/top of my bum cheeks.
I know it’s exasperated by the hormone relaxin more than the weight of a baby, but I didn’t think I’d be feeli g it this early! Must have been close to half way through before I felt the pain with DC2 Sad

Easterbuns1 · 30/01/2019 15:55

@MyBreadIsEggy spd definitely came on earlier with my second than my first, I ended up on crutches last time and couldn't even drive. No signs yet but I've already started getting out of bed / the car etc the right way, I'm hoping doing all the physio tricks now will help later!

MyBreadIsEggy · 30/01/2019 15:57

Easter I didn’t see a physio last time - didn’t know that was an option!

abi2790 · 30/01/2019 16:09

Hi everyone. Just checking in.

Returned to university after Christmas yesterday and it was so hard to concentrate whilst feeling so sick and unbearably tired!

On the plus side, I got my nhs scan date in the post today. 18th feb! Not very long to wait at all!

I hope everyone is well (as can be in the 1st trimester!)

BBell2 · 30/01/2019 17:21

@MyBreadIsEggy I had to go private for SPD and pay a local physio for a few sessions, DD dropped so early (~£40 a go but felt worth it crying in agony) then I stopped my long commute close to the end and symptoms stopped within days. DD had a right egg on her head being so low.

Saw the Nurse today and she pulled my EDD forward, similar to last time when I went "over". Feel like I lost 5 days! Will update the sheet.

Karigan195 · 30/01/2019 17:50

Today’s learning point. Boots pregnancy multi vitamins taste far better than pregnacare!

PastaSauceHoarder · 30/01/2019 17:54

Oh no @Karigan195, do you think?? I think they taste like phlegm. 🤢

Still taking them mind, they're cheaper...

Easterbuns1 · 30/01/2019 18:00

@MyBreadIsEggy tbh I didn't learn much from the physio that I hadn't read online but was the only way to get hold of some crutches!

Hsunshine · 30/01/2019 18:00

I am 9+3 and midwife still not called me. Stressing me out that lots of you have had booking in & scan dates.... I chased my dr today who ‘helpfully’ gave me midwifes number but I didn’t have time to call. Despite the fact that the midwife was as the drs surgery today

Karigan195 · 30/01/2019 18:07

Well pregnacare have a really strong iron taste 😕

TwittleBee · 30/01/2019 18:28

They're awful aren't they Karigan ! Really struggle to keep it down

Oh I'm not surprised you're a little stressed about that, is it known to be a busy service in your area Hsunshine ?

The midwife literally just called me Smile I’m going weds and she said my scan letter is in the post

PastaSauceHoarder · 30/01/2019 18:58

Thats good to hear, @Hsunshine! Glad thats cleared up for you. Smile

My midwife text me earlier and to say that my 12 week scan is scheduled for the 5th March - only 34 days to go!! Grin

Hsunshine · 30/01/2019 19:03

Pasta is yours actually at 12 or ?

Megan2018 · 30/01/2019 19:06

I’ve been taking the Seven Seas one-very odd lilac colour but don’t have any taste to me!

PastaSauceHoarder · 30/01/2019 19:12

I should be 12+3 by then, @Hsunshine. Smile

stroan · 30/01/2019 19:43

I’ve had to stop taking pregnacare as the medication I’m on for nausea has high levels of vitami B6. Of course, I’d just stocked up on the most expensive version. Why do the pills have to be so huge though?

hodgeheg92 · 30/01/2019 19:58

@Hsunshine I came tonight to ask if anyone else hadn't heard from a midwife yet! I'm only 7 weeks and referred last Tues though so perhaps I'll hear from her in the next few weeks like yours!

The pregnacare tablets are Envy (not envy!), I took the tesco version last time but couldn't find them a few weeks ago.

Hsunshine · 30/01/2019 20:15

@hodgeheg92 yes mine referred me at 5 but said they’d call between 8-10 but I still got impatient. I think mine usually see you between 10-11

LaBelleSausage · 30/01/2019 20:19

I can only cope with pregnacare on a full stomach.

I’m struggling so much not to tell people this time around. Two friends have announced their own pregnancies today and yesterday (at 12 and 16 weeks) and it’s been so hard not to say ‘me too!’ even though I’m only at 6+2 and I know it’s too early

MunchyMunchkin · 30/01/2019 20:51

Normally it’s midwife at 8+ weeks and then scan from 11 to 13+6. Scan needs to be done by then for the Michal translucency test.

Such a variation of symptoms between us. This week I have mostly been troubled by my boobs daily and then the odd other thing.
Monday I had some pelvic pain and was so exhausted DH said I looked grey when I took to bed at 9.30pm. Tired today but not as bad.

Have had to lie at work multiple time when people ask me if we might have another kid 🙈

Was really hard yesterday as my HCSW found out her daughter was 9 weeks when the daughter fainted on the bus. She was outraged that she hadn’t been told already, really wanted to tell her my mum doesn’t know either!
I have told a few friends (all medics as well) and no one else!

Whisky2014 · 30/01/2019 20:56

Whats this stuff you are taking? I'm just on the seven seas folic acid stuff which does have vit d and b and other things in too. Should I be taking more stuff?
