And you're close to @Karigan195, hah what are the chances?

excitednerves · 30/01/2019 00:06

@whisky we have the same scan day! I cannot wait to see my little bubba and then be able to tell the world! 13 days to go, I’ve been counting down since I got my letter. Grin

Ashleigh95 · 30/01/2019 03:12

Anyone else's sickness gone off abit?

Whisky2014 · 30/01/2019 06:57

Oh that's cool excitednerves. Yeh i cant wait either. Last few days my symltoms have reduced and I just want to see all is ok. I have told people as I've seen them because I'm known to like a party/drink and think it's pretty obvious why I'm not haha.

MyBreadIsEggy · 30/01/2019 09:33

Did the school run in the snow with a pocket full of plain pretzels Grin
Me: one
Morning sickness: nil
Grin

Easterbuns1 · 30/01/2019 09:42

I seem to have 3-4 days of feeling hideous then one where I'm alright. I'm usually such a tea wife but completely gone off that because I seem to always throw it back up.

Booking appointment tomorrow! Debating getting the maternity jeans out of the loft, I really wanted to wait til 12 weeks but I've literally got 2 pairs of normal jeans that for me and just feel like a blimp already.

Sadie1989 · 30/01/2019 10:15

I am in Liverpool! So not all that far! The snow this morning 🙈 deep breathing..trying not to puke! Not a nice experience!! Hope u ladies suffering can get some rest today x

PastaSauceHoarder · 30/01/2019 10:24

I love Liverpool @Sadie1989, you're not even an hour away from me. 😂

So I've eaten three pieces of cold chicken for breakfast and its cured my nausea this morning! I'm going to reach for a fourth piece - they're delicious. Grin

Karigan195 · 30/01/2019 10:25

I’m living in leggings, two pairs of jeans that fit and trousers with the button undone 🤦‍♀️

DP looked at me as I got out the shower last night and just went ‘you’re showing’

Don’t know how I’m going to hide this until 12 weeks.

They say it’s bloat but when you take into consideration that you suddenly have a uterus the size of a small melon in week 9/10 I’m not sure that’s fair 😂😂

Sadie1989 · 30/01/2019 10:30

I am around 6.5 weeks and I have a little bump too. I have maternity leggings out! And my jeans are undone 😂 I think with the more babies you have the more stretched you are and so u show sooner. I love Chester also!! What is your DD? X

Karigan195 · 30/01/2019 10:34

It’s either August 31 or 1.9.19. I keep losing track when I try to work it out 🤦‍♀️

As I’m older I’m expecting to be induced or c section from 38 weeks though as they don’t like to leave older mothers to 40 weeks as it increases the risk of the baby being still born. Second baby too. My first I was hardly showing at 16 weeks!

Winterl · 30/01/2019 10:48

Hi I posted on the thread over in the pregnancy section and have been meaning to move over here.
I think I’m 6 weeks tomorrow, I’m not bloating yet. This is my 3rd and I’m wanting to keep it quite for a while, not sure if realistically I’ll make it to 12 weeks before people start to notice. Keep online shopping for tent like jumpers to hide everything Grin.

Karigan195 · 30/01/2019 10:50

Tesco’s are selling some nice long cardies that do a good job :)

Sadie1989 · 30/01/2019 11:07

@Karigan195 ooh either the youngest or eldest in the school year!!

Megan2018 · 30/01/2019 12:02

Feeling really negative today, don’t feel pregnant. Might do another test! Apart from the boobs there is nothing going on at all, not tired, not sick. Had some tiny twinges last night on my left side, sort of a pinching/stabbing sensation. Really quick though so gone as you register it really-that lasted about an hour.
The kitchen bin makes me gag but that’s it.
No other pain and not even a spot of blood so I know it might be all ok but I really thought I’d feel more by now 7+3.
Finding it hard to be positive as feel like a fraud/freak. Sad

boodles101 · 30/01/2019 12:18

megan I'm the same today, not really feeling anything. My jeans are even fitting fine today. I did do a test this morning as it was the last IC in my drawer and I thought why not. It was a much fainter line, still there but not a dark as before. I'm putting it down to the hook effect but really wishing I hadn't done it now!!

PastaSauceHoarder · 30/01/2019 12:18

Thats exactly how I felt yesterday, @Megan2018. Flowers Didn't really feel anything at all.
Yet I woke up today feeling really nauseous again and erm, my nipple seem to be permanently erect. Hmm I'm 7+4 today, I think maybe its just normal for symptoms to just come and go. Hard not to worry though, I totally get it.

Megan2018 · 30/01/2019 12:26

They haven't come and gone though- they haven’t started!

boodles101 · 30/01/2019 12:29

I was like that in my last pregnancy megan zero symptoms at all until heartburn in the 3rd tri. Very lucky to have no symptoms but it doesn't do anything for the worrying!!

PastaSauceHoarder · 30/01/2019 12:31

You might be one of the lucky ones that just don't get many symptoms, @Megan2018. Smile Theres sooo many early pregnancy symptoms, you might actually be having some but not realised it yet. How is your skin? Your hair?

By the way, that was supposed to be nipples up above, as in the two - I don't just have one crazy erect one. Hmm

Karigan195 · 30/01/2019 12:35

There are loads of internet pages that say no symptoms is fine too. Only thing that really lets you know if there’s a problem is the ultrasound and heavy bleeding. It’s awful not knowing but chances are good it’s all fine

JJ94 · 30/01/2019 12:47

Morning everyone!
New to this thread but it sounds like you are all a lovely chatty bunch Smile
I'm 8 weeks today and had my booking appointment with the midwife yesterday. She said i will get a letter with a scan date on soon. Do you know when this will be roughly? I know its a "12 weeks scan" but i didnt think it always was bang on your 12th week?

I too am feeling the full wrath of the nausea Sad it tends to be if i dont ear for a few hours and start to feel hungry it hits the worst. Rich tea biscuits are my best friend at the moment! Also my jeans are becoming tight and i have gone up 2 bra cup sizes already Shock

X

Megan2018 · 30/01/2019 12:57

Welcome @JJ94

I think it varies hugely by area, I had booking in at 6+1, was told that they aim to scan at 11 weeks in my trust and it takes 2-3 weeks to receive scan date letter as they have a backlog in my area. I am still waiting for mine (been 10 days so far). I'll chase if not received after 3 weeks.

KLane · 30/01/2019 13:11

@Megan2018 Other than a bit of light nausea a few days late in my first trimester, I really didn't have many symptoms with my first (until the 3rd tri)! It's nothing to worry about. This time I've got a bit more back ache, but that's probably from carrying a toddler around. Honestly, most of my friends haven't had much if any morning sickness in their pregnancies.

@JJ94 I'm 7 weeks today and just got my scan letter for 12+6. My booking appt isn't for another 2 weeks. It varies massively by trust but you could call your midwife helpline and they may be able to advise.
