TwittleBee for sure!! 😂😂I just want one hour not feeling sick! 😣

MyBreadIsEggy · 29/01/2019 15:43

Sadie I spewed in a neighbour’s driveway in the school run yesterday Confused I remember the days of being pregnant with my first back in 2014/2015, when I could just sleep all day Sad As much as I love these small people I made, I wish I could just book myself into a hotel for the entire first trimester while the sickness passes Grin

TwittleBee · 29/01/2019 15:56

Anyone starting to think about names? DH has enough of me asking what he thinks of certain names as he think we have already found the best names (the only names we have so far agreed on) its a slow day in the office for me

twittlebee my husband started coming out with names about 5 mins after I told him I was pregnant. I've held back, don't want to come up with names until a scan. But he has the worst taste in names so I just constantly say no to everything he comes up with. He has some obsession with Vikings. He wanted to call out DS Ragnar, he didn't win then and he won't win this time! We already have quite an unusual surname so it's hard trying to find something that fits.

hodgeheg92 · 29/01/2019 16:24

DH just asked me if everything's okay cos I seem "a bit short tempered today". My response of "Add feeling like you're going to vomit all of time but also being ravenously hungry to the sleep deprivation that DD is causing both of us, and the high chance that you'll still feel the same tomorrow and tell me how you'd be" was a little OTT Hmm Grin

Haven't discussed names and won't till after the 12w scan I imagine. We only had one girl's name choice and that got used up last time.

stroan · 29/01/2019 17:13

@twittlebee we had a pretty short list last time and still like all the same names so are fairly definite. We want an Irish or Irish/scottish name that people in Scotland (where we live) can recognise and pronounce. And needs to go with an unusual surname ending in -ey.

The only boys name we liked was Ruairi. My best friend is now pregnant and the only boys name she likes is Rory. I’m hoping she has a girl!

Hsunshine · 29/01/2019 17:31

@twittlebee I have 2 boy and 2 girl names

MyBreadIsEggy · 29/01/2019 18:23

Urrgghhh I’m in turbo shit-mum mode today Blush
Made DCs hot dogs and chips for dinner as it was the quickest, easiest option.
Dd has been as preschool today, so DS and I have done literally nothing except watch tv all day. Feel bad for him, because it’s not his fault I’m feeling too rough to really do much with him! I’m going to try and muster the energy to take him to toddler group tomorrow just to get him out and doing something other than watching tv Confused

boodles101 · 29/01/2019 18:43

DH has really annoyed me this evening. He's just said he's booked 5 tickets to a concert for a week after my due date. I said you do realise I'll either be heavily pregnant, in labour/staying in hospital, or we'll have a New born. DS was 8 days overdue. He said yes he's aware Confused I said that's quite selfish and so we've had a row now.
I understand anything can happen between now and then but it's just really pissed me off and I needed to vent.

Whisky2014 · 29/01/2019 18:53

Wtf boodles! Do you think he forgot the date?!

Sadie1989 · 29/01/2019 19:00

@hodgeheg92 my hubby said the same. Well no shit sherlock, I feel absolutely vile! 😂🙈🙈

Sadie1989 · 29/01/2019 19:01

@mybreadiseggy your not rubbish..take it easy. Xx so hard when we are used to rushing around and mult itasking and right now even washing my hair is taking all my energy! Where are all you ladies btw?

boodles101 · 29/01/2019 19:04

whiskey no he didn't forget, his rationale was '2nd babies always come early' erm no they don't. And then asked how long we have to stay in the 'newborn bubble' I just said fine, enjoy the concert and I'll make sure to pick someone else as a birthing partner that can actually be supportive.

Whisky2014 · 29/01/2019 19:06

God I can't believe he did that. And it's not like you can just exit the newborn bubble. Seems really selfish. Feel for you Flowers

DustyDoorframes · 29/01/2019 19:13

@boodles101 so is that tickets for you, a midwife and three of your mates while he babysits the newborn????

Karigan195 · 29/01/2019 19:18

Gosh and he’s still alive?

boodles101 · 29/01/2019 19:24

He's just about still alive. I would take the tickets but unfortunately it's for something that I have zero interest in! He has now apologised and said he can just sell them, but he's missing the point entirely.

PastaSauceHoarder · 29/01/2019 19:32

Oh @boodles101, he really didn't think that one through did he? 🙄 I hope you have a deliriously happy newborn bubble and stay in there a very long time!

I'm in the UK @Sadie1989, in a town very close to Chester. Smile

I have a boys name that I'm desperate to use, @TwittleBee! Its Jonah. ❤
I'm stuck if I end up having another little girl though, I used my all-time most favourite name for DD (I had her name picked out since I was 15! Grin). In my mind theres absolutely no other name that sounds as pretty so I'd have to really search.

hodgeheg92 · 29/01/2019 19:53

@Sadie1989 They just don't get it do they! Hmm

@PastaSauceHoarder We're the same for a girl's name! DD has THE name. It's kind of making me want to find out what we're having so I won't have to research other girl names if it's a boy

KLane · 29/01/2019 20:02

When DS one born, we had just one boy's name that we agreed on. ONE. We couldn't even come up with an agreeable shortlist. We're in for a lot of rows if this baby is a boy.

boodles101 · 29/01/2019 20:45

We could only agree on one boys name and one girls name. We used the boys and very shortly after he was born, Amazon brought out Alexa which then put us both off using it for any future girl. I still love then name but I couldn't use it now!

MyBreadIsEggy · 29/01/2019 20:47

We didn’t agree on any names for the last 2. They got given names that weren’t even on our lists, but they are a perfect fit Smile

There’s a great app available for iPhone that’s like tinder for baby names! Both partners download it, and sync your accounts together. Then you swipe right on names you like, swipe left on names you don’t like, and it will tell you when you and your partner have matched on a name you both like! It’s genius!

BBell2 · 29/01/2019 21:08

@Boodles - what a man thing to do - he needs to be thinking about getting a refund on those tickets. My OH was a bit selfish when DD was born, fecked off to do odd jobs for most of his leave & had a head-wetting weekend away. I was so knackered I barely argued, but have already told him every thing he did that I and others thought was selfish for this one.

@MyBreadIsEggy im getting that app! with DD I fell out with the only name we agreed on when she was born - we had spreadsheets of names for each and still didnt manage to name her for 6-7days after, she was 41wks so we really should have got there sooner.

Feeling a bit better today, still a small bleed but its dark and light so im relaxed enough and pleased I told my mum she was instantly brilliant.

LaBelleSausage · 29/01/2019 21:37

@PastaSauceHoarder I’m also very close to Chester! Maybe I’ll see you in The Countess in September Grin
