How do you find out about NCT classes?

I am literally living off carbs and chocolate. Chocolate deff makes me feel better and junk food stays down best. I don’t think I am gaining any weight because of always being sick

Megan2018 · 28/01/2019 18:15

@Hsunshine
I just went on the NCT website out of curiosity to see what was near me. Turned out they have a course in next village already booking for Sept births!

Fortheloveofscience · 28/01/2019 18:20

I’m living off breakfast cereal, apricots and fizzy cola laces Blush. Can only drink water. Last night managed 1/2 chicken breast and a bite of a roast potato, but tonight DH is making bolognese Envy

Fortheloveofscience · 28/01/2019 18:24

Also, inspired by this I went to look for my local NCT group. They’re advertising Aug-mid-Sept, and Oct/Nov. My EDD should be 21 Sept, so I don’t fit into either of these Confused.

Hsunshine · 28/01/2019 19:49

When I checked mine they had mid aug - mid sept but when I scrolled way down they had sept to Oct so maybe yours have that too?

TwittleBee · 28/01/2019 19:52

Yeah just checked mine and they have "early sep" or "late sep" ? Odd Fortheloveofscience

Aww @Karigan95 good luck for the scan tomorrow! We’re around about the same aren’t we - 9w2d? I hope you get to see a lovely little baby, totally understand the scanxiety.

Megan2018 · 28/01/2019 20:03

Ours has 2 courses booking, late June-mid Aug and mid Aug- mid Oct.

The mid Aug-Oct course starts beginning of June.

PastaSauceHoarder · 28/01/2019 20:14

Sorry @Karigan195, totally missed that you're going for your scan tomorrow! Wishing you the best of luck. I'm terrified of being told its a MMC too, I didn't even realise they exsisted until it happened to my poor friend a couple of years ago. Now I'm really scared of it.

12 days until I'm 9 weeks, then I'm going to book myself in for a private scan. It can't come soon enough.

MrsCatKins · 28/01/2019 20:17

Hi ladies! Do you mind if I join?
I'm 7 + 4 today, due 13th Sept I think!
First baby and bfp on first cycle ttc!!

Symptoms so far are:
Sore swollen boobs that look like porn star boobs Blush
Absolutely ravenous all day and if I don't eat for a couple of hours I get super hangry!!
No real nausea unless you count the hangry feeling! Haven't gone off any food, I basically want anything and everything!
Sudden waves of fatigue that hit me like a bus

Is anyone else's sleep severely disrupted? I go to bed early and then wake up every 1-2 hours all night every night and wake up feeling like a have a hangover, without the fun that goes with it!!

No spotting fingers crossed!

Booking in appointment is next week and no scan date yet. Is that normal?

hodgeheg92 · 28/01/2019 20:38

Hi and congratulations @MrsCatKins!
I'm due a week after you, haven't had a booking appointment yet and don't have one arranged (although I filled the self referral paper work in last week). So definitely no scan date yet! From my last pregnancy I don't think I got much notice for my scan. I think it will vary between trusts but imagine it's quite normal not to have a scan date yet.

Good luck tomorrow karigan

Easterbuns1 · 28/01/2019 20:43

No NCT anywhere near here, I went to the nhs antenatal classes with my first but no one really kept in touch and I didn't find them that great as I'd read up everything I needed to online. Can see why it would be good to meet other people due around the same time though.

bakingdiva · 28/01/2019 21:43

Has anyone else’s brain just dissolved? I mean I’m not the most on the ball person at the best of times, but for the last 2 weeks I have been forgetting everything....I left for work this morning and forgot my house keys (DH was taking DD to nursery and leaving after me), I only realised on my drive home!

PastaSauceHoarder · 28/01/2019 23:03

Twice this week I've nearly burnt my house down, @bakingdiva. Blush Forgot to turn the grill off one day and forgot to blow out a candle another. I've got to be extra careful now, my baby brain is kicking in...

excitednerves · 29/01/2019 07:10

Good luck @Karigan195 I’m also terrified of MC. I hope everything goes well for you.

I have midwife booking in today, then scan two weeks later. I’m petrified but really excited. It won’t feel safe to tell people until I’ve seen it in there and alive and well.

So far nobody knows except my husband and I told my best friend yesterday afternoon.

MyBreadIsEggy · 29/01/2019 08:00

Sickness is getting worse everyday.
Did the trick last night of keeping a cereal bar and a drink by the bed so I don’t get up completely empty, and it’s not made a shred of difference.
If it gets any worse, I’ll have no choice but to go see my dr. I was told that as I had hyperemesis with my first, the chances of it happening in another pregnancy are much higher. So far I’m only vomiting around 5 maybe 6 times a day, so not as bad as it was with DD....but then in other ways it’s worse. At least when I was pregnant with DD I didn’t have other DCs to deal with, and could just mope around feeling sorry for myself!

daydreamdaisy · 29/01/2019 08:04

God it seems like whichever way you have it it's a worry - I'm stressing because I feel like I'm making it up as I now have zero symptoms!
Saw a heartbeat last week, no bleeding or anything but sore boobs have been dwindling away for a while so all I'm left with is tiredness and hunger... I'm worried I'll go for my 12 week scan and it'll have done some sort of vanishing act Sad

excitednerves · 29/01/2019 08:21

@MyBreadIsEggy so sorry you’re feeling so unwell. Seeing the dr sounds like a good idea.

@daydreamdaisy my thoughts exactly! I had terrible nausea and dizziness yesterday (8+4) but generally feel pretty normal. Someone on here told me that unless there’s pain or bleeding you just have to assume nothings gone wrong. Trying to tell myself that often! Fingers crossed for 12 weeks!

stroan · 29/01/2019 08:40

@mybreadiseggy so sorry you are feeling so unwell. Hope the docs can help if it comes to it. There’s a new anti-sickness medication called Xonvea that is now licensed for use in pregnancy. I’m hopefully getting it today (pharmacy didn’t have it in stock), it’ll be the third one I’m trying so resting all my hopes on it.

TwittleBee · 29/01/2019 08:56

MyBreadIsEggy bless you that is rough being that sick that many times.

daydreamdaisy symptoms relaly do just die down for some women really early. That you have no bleeding is a really good sign. Idk if this will make you feel any better but when I had my MMC I was still being sick and had all the symptoms even past the medical removal of the baby.

I am feeling so rough this morning. It is like I cannot get enough sleep atm and I just keep feeling so dizzy. I have stopped exercising like my MW said but I dont feel like it has made much difference tbh. Being sick in the mornings and evenings is rough too. I also just dont feel like I am able to drink enough - rant over, just feeling sorry for myself. No clue how I am going to be able to be a bridesmaid on Friday atm!

Megan2018 · 29/01/2019 09:03

This morning I am in a vile mood, did not sleep a wink - full on insomnia. I am wondering if it is a flu jab side effect!

There are major roadworks outside our office atm and so I left for work really early again in order to access the car park before the contractors blocked it - got there to find it already blocked and had to wait 45 mins for them to unload a digger and move a lorry to park. So an early start achieved absolutely nothing (drive to work and parking at that time should be 45 mins max, today it took 1.5hr inc parking) - I wanted to get to work, get a breakfast and be able to leave tonight before the snow.
I had full on rage and then wanted to cry. Today is going to just be terrible I can feel it.

I was sick brushing my teeth this morning, I do often gag though when not pg so not sure if this is a proper sign of ms starting or not.

Either way I am a raging bag of hormones today with no perspective whatsoever!

Karigan195 · 29/01/2019 09:03

Well got up with one of the worse ms mornings ever. Then went for the scan. Got to see the little heart beat and baby was jumping whilst the ultrasound was being done 😁

Measuring at 9 weeks 2 days. Will work out due date on that in a min 😁

Megan2018 · 29/01/2019 09:04

Good luck today @Karigan195

Sorry to those feeling rough - I know I should be counting my lucky stars on that front!

Megan2018 · 29/01/2019 09:05

Ah @Karigan195 - cross post! That's amazing news, so pleased for you.

Easterbuns1 · 29/01/2019 09:13

@Megan2018 I didn't sleep a wink last night either there was maybe something in the air!

@Karigan195 great news Smile

Sorry to those that are feeling rough or anxious, I'm in that crew as well but trying so hard not to be negative!
