Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

I’ve stopped getting email notifications Sad I’m so busy I forget to check in unless there’s that email saying there’s been a post!
Had a brief glance over the last page re. Clothes and bumps. I’m now 18 weeks and have a definite bump. We weren’t going to tell anyone until 20 weeks after the anomaly scan but I’m seeing my best friend later and don’t know how I’m going to hide it 😂 she already mentioned my skin was glowing a few weeks ago (but she always thinks I might be pregnant as she knows I want kids!).
I just wear loose tops/dresses at work (lots of White Stuff off eBay) so my size 8 tunics are still covering me, but have been in maternity jeans for the last 3/4 weeks and think I need maternity leggings now as the normal ones are giving me a double tum Blush
Been feeling the baby move loads - sometimes takes me by surprise and I jump at how forceful the movements can be!
So looking forward to the scan in a fortnight Smile

UnicornDust17 · 28/02/2019 19:24

I've also fallen off the thread, sorry! Stopped getting notifications and then forgot my MN password 🙈

How is everyone doing?

(I haven't read TFL...)

UnicornDust17 · 28/02/2019 19:27

Ohh sorry to read that @sacrecoeur0712 I had a similar appointment recently, for very similar reasons, but luckily all looking good so far. Fingers firmly crossed for you here xx

sacrecoeur0712 · 28/02/2019 19:54

Thank you @UnicornDust17
DH and I both think the dr is being over cautious, based on our positive outcome last time. Hopefully we'll see a consultant next week with a bit more experience and a second scan will make things clearer.

Chocolate89 · 28/02/2019 20:02

I stopped getting mn notifications too, must be an issue!

I am currently not speaking to my dh because i knocked over his glass of water.... still trying to figure out these preggo hormones 😂 how are @unicorndust17?

Anyone thought yet what pram ect they might get? Xx

Curlywurlywooo · 28/02/2019 22:22

@Chocolate89 I don’t know where to start to be honest! Ideally I need one that folds up quite small as I have a small car with small boot but I don’t have a clue e.g are they all suitable for birth onwards or are some only when they’re 6months onwards... there’s zero pram shops near me and not even a mothercare and actually I think I’ll look for a decent one second hand anyway!
Think after the 20 week scan we’ll start looking into it Grin
Best friend didn’t mention anything so whether she just thought I looked fat or not I don’t know..I wore something extra baggy. I’ll tell her in a fortnight😂

UnicornDust17 · 28/02/2019 22:40

All good thanks @Chocolate89 👍 16 week appointment went well, and only 10 days until my 20 wk scan... :-)

Not decided about pushchair yet. I like the BabyStyle egg, but it's too heavy. I had a mamas and papas sola with DS1 and really liked that. I like the iCandy pushchairs but don't like the seat shape, I want something with a seat that lies flat, not just one you tilt.

@Curlywurlywooo two people offered me their seat on the tube today so I think I must look pregnant now rather than I'd just eaten too many. McDonalds breakfasts Grin and one friend called me massive and the other big for 19 weeks Hmm charmers the lots of them....!

UnicornDust17 · 28/02/2019 22:45

The most annoying thing I've had so far @milly2000 (apart from being called massive ) is people asking was it planned? Hmm

Chocolate89 · 28/02/2019 23:35

Yeah I'm going to start looking after the 20 week scan (march 21st). I had a mamas and papas one for my dd, and i pulled it or of the garage last week and it's crazy how dated it looked after 10 years! They were just so much bulkier back then!

I also like the Icandy peach, my best friend has it for her 6 week old baby and it does seem great! Love the fact that it has a nice big basket underneath too. But i absolutely get what you mean about lying flat! 🤔

bubblegumunicorn · 01/03/2019 04:51

@UnicornDust17 my mum keeps asking me if I'm sure it's not twins I'm 17 weeks and massive I think this baby is growing by the second 😂

Jelliestogether · 01/03/2019 07:00

I'm also surprised by the amount of people that have asked if it's planned! I'm hoping to get the bugaboo fox however currently the only thing putting me off it is the price! But we are off to the London baby show at the weekend and our plan is to look at them all then! And possibly buy if they have good offers! Bit of baby overload this weekend. We have just started telling our friends this week now our parents know. Makes it all seem a bit more real! Plus 16 week appointment on Wednesday then off on holiday!! Looking forward to the rest!

Whoopsies · 01/03/2019 07:33

Last time we had the cheapest, most basic mothercare travel system as we were skint and I loved it. It lasted well and was just great. I think we might get the same again as it only needs to last the 1 baby (exactly what I said last time!!! 😂)

QueenofFox · 01/03/2019 07:38

We've had such an array! We had a quinny for DD1 that was ace, but got stolen (!) and then just used slings and a cheap Oysterfor DD2. We also moved to a mclaren for both at about 8/9 months but that was so battered in the end and finally died on our last holiday. I really want a yoyo babyzen this time. It's our last baby so we'll be looking to resell and I reckon that will hold value!

milly2000 · 01/03/2019 07:42

Feel so much better after reading everyone's comments about there bumps. For a moment that women made me feel abnormal.

@UnicornDust17 yes I've had that a few times now and it really angers me!

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2019 08:18

I'm going today @Jelliestogether I'll let you know if I spot bugaboo Wink they don't usually do that any deals. The Fox is great but the price is eye watering 🙈

Kcjoe · 01/03/2019 10:00

My partner still has an original silver cross pram in his mum's loft. He used it with his daughter sometimes too! Although we would also be buying a new one! I'm on day 11 of waiting for my cvs results now 🙄 getting impatient now x

UnicornDust17 · 01/03/2019 10:15

@Jelliestogether 10% off Fox

August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea
Jokie · 01/03/2019 14:29

@Kcjoe: hope it comes through soon.

Re: prams. I can highly recommend the "out n about" prams. We have one and it's been everywhere with us. They have newborn add ons so you can use it from birth to 4years. I'll probably wear a sling as much as possible this time as I hated our pram in the first few months.

RaindropsRoses · 01/03/2019 17:25

We need a new thread!

I've got the uppababy vista, ita not small or lightweight in the slightest but converts to double which we will need. Will probably sling this baby most the time though

Floriday · 01/03/2019 18:19

We’ve still got our oyster pushchair from DD, I would like to get a new colour pack for it though regardless of whether this ones a girl or a boy. Can only get them on eBay now and they’re few and far between Confused

ScotsBaby2 · 01/03/2019 18:20

We have a Joolz Geo. I love it. Huge basket and it can be changed to a double.

Wizzywazzywoo · 01/03/2019 20:07

@Scotsbaby2 I've been looking at this one. Definitely thinking second hand this time round though.
If you could add me to the fb group, it'd be much appreciated, as I'm struggling to follow this thread 😂

Jelliestogether · 01/03/2019 20:50

@UnicornDust17 🙌🏻 thank you so much! My DH won't be able to say no with a deal like that! Although still a crazy amount of money! How was the baby show, did you buy much??

ABearandABump · 02/03/2019 08:01

@RaindropsRoses I'm looking to sling with baby this time around. Do you have any recommendations? I had a Tula with my son and couldn't come to grips with it. He was around 18m though when I started.
