Hi all

Welcome to the new thread. The list of names is HUGE! It might be a better idea to start a new list after 12 week scans so we have up to date due dates. It also allows those who have bad news but don't want to share it to leave quietly if they so wish.

I don't even have a scan date! Hurry up and end first trimester.

@milly2000 I'm starting to notice my stomach popping out a bit now I'm 16 weeks and my sister had a massive bump at 13 weeks!

Just wait until you get the delightful comments of you should give me all your size 8 clothes because you'll never be skinny again 😒😒

Kcjoe · 25/02/2019 15:22

@milly2000 I'm only 13w 4d and I'm definitely showing! I've already gone up a jean size and now they're too tight! I've had to order a pair of maternity jeans today. This is my 2nd. Ignore what others say x

keebo · 25/02/2019 17:28

I keep thinking I'm showing but then it disappears again so I guess it's just being bloated - still! Lots of my family didn't show til the 5th month but I have friends who were obviously pregnant well before their 12wk scan. As they seem to say in all guidelines, everyone is different. Personally, I can't wait to be in maternity jeans - they look so comfy!

ScotsBaby2 · 25/02/2019 21:26

@keebo do it! I've never put my maternity leggings away. They've been around since May 2017 lol

For those who have pm'ed about the Facebook group, I have added you I think. Let me know if it hasn't worked.

If you wish to be added then pm me your email address and I can add you in.

@ScotsBaby2 I'd like to join the FB group please!

First baby due 21st August, we did a NIPT test and found out it's a girl :)

I was concerned at almost 15 weeks I'm not showing and my boobs aren't really growing anymore, but glad to see I'm not alone!

sacrecoeur0712 · 26/02/2019 06:44

Morning all. Slightly worrying times for me - I had an appointment with the prematurity clinic yesterday as I had LLETZ to remove pre-cancerous cells from my cervix a number of years ago, making me at risk of incompetent cervix.

During my pregnancy with DS2 I was closely monitored as my cervix was continually shortening but they decided against a cervical stitch as they said the risks outweighed the benefits. I spent the whole pregnancy in fear of going into early labour but by some miracle I made it to 39 weeks.

I had my cervix measured yesterday and it's short - much shorter than at this stage with DS2. Doctor is leaning towards putting a stitch in ASAP and I have to go back next week to recheck measurements and arrange the procedure. I'm so worried as there are risks involved with having the stitch inserted, but huge risk involved with not having it. Confused

Sorry, that was long!

QueenofFox · 26/02/2019 08:26

@sacrecoeur0712 oh no you poor thing. It is a fairly common procedure these days but no less worrying. Hope you're ok.

I've been showing from 8 weeks (3rd baby). I'm a size 8 too and tend to show early and massive and then stay the same from 2nd trimester and everyone tells me I'm much too small. Can't win! A lot depends on height and where your womb is, mine is v far back against my back so baby grows up. (Only know this because of the millions of scans!).

Off for third attempt at getting some genetic data. Amnio scheduled this morn after two failed CVS. Am shitting it.

sacrecoeur0712 · 26/02/2019 08:41

@QueenofFox I've been showing for weeks too - baby #3. Weirdly the top of my belly pops out which is nowhere near my uterus but I guess it pushes everything else upwards and outwards as it grows? Thanks for the kind words, will be thinking of you today as you go for your amnio, update us later x

ScotsBaby2 · 26/02/2019 09:55

@QueenofFox good luck today. I hope it all goes well.

@sacrecoeur0712 when will you find out if they are definitely doing a stitch? I hope it works!

@dreaming174 I'll send you a PM.

My toddler is so unhappy today. I want to lie down and sleep. She doesn't despite being super miserable.

I'm in full blown maternity clothes now. Maternity tunic (that I loved last time) maternity leggings and maternity bra. Bump feels huge at 15 weeks. Hopefully it stays this size.

I'm only just starting to get symptoms. I've been sick more the last two weeks than in all the weeks before. My boobs hurt. So so so long until next scan.

How are all the gender scans going?

sacrecoeur0712 · 26/02/2019 10:15

@ScotsBaby2 I'm seeing them again on Monday when they will decide, then the procedure will be done on Friday I think. I'm already on the list Shock

I have also been sick this week for the first time - nausea has mostly gone but suddenly replace with actual sickness! Pregnancy sucks sometimes.

clairelee17 · 26/02/2019 11:28

I think I had some bubble feelings in my tummy most of yesterday, along with a couple of tapping type feelings (16+3 today). I have previously thought this was wind, and it was before, but I'm nearly positive that this was baby yesterday instead. Definitely no wind then, lol. Hope they get stronger as it's still another 4 weeks until my scan and anxious to know everything is ok. Belly is growing bigger by the day - I've been in maternity over- the-bump jeans for the last 5 weeks already! They are the most comfortable things ever!

ScotsBaby2 · 26/02/2019 17:46

I eaten two proper dinners the last two days. Pity I'm now being sick in the morning. Little steps needed.

Bakingabean · 26/02/2019 18:10

I’m not really showing either and I’m 18 weeks tomorrow. Although this morning I didn’t really have a bump but this afternoon my belly is hard and I can’t hold it in anymore l. Could be bump, could be bloating!

@clairelee17 I’ve felt movement for a couple of weeks now but didn’t feel as much today so now I’m home and relaxing I decided to give him an bit of a poke. And I can feel him wriggling around. A combination of squirming and tapping. I think poor boy was asleep and I woke him up! I’m so mean! But it does make me feel better now I can feel him again!

Wizzywazzywoo · 26/02/2019 19:39

@Scotsbaby2 thank you I've sent you my email!

ABearandABump · 26/02/2019 19:51

I'm only starting to feel sick with certain smells. Hopped the bus to work today as car wouldn't start, lady on the bus started talking to me and her breath smelt like chlorine, had me borking the whole 20 minute journey.

Came home and now I feel awful for thinking she had chlorine breath 😬.

Wizzywazzywoo · 26/02/2019 20:26

@ABearandABump I know how you feel, glad your feeling OK not. I have a bad day now and again and then feel Gaggy the rest of the time. I was serving a customer the other day and actually gagged whilst serving her. I felt awful and it was nothing to do with her smell or anything. Had to awkwardly explain 😂

keebo · 26/02/2019 21:50

@sacrecoeur0712 🤞 for you on Friday. I'm sorry others are still gagging. We might need to change the name of the thread! I've just been swimming this evening and might not yet have a bump sticking out of jeans but I think it's time for a new swimming costume. My boobs, normally almost non-existent, seem to have completely ballooned!

QueenofFox · 26/02/2019 23:04

@ABearandABump I totally have this! I cycle to work as it's definitely the way to avoid smells on public transport!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts today. They managed to do it, it was a lot more physically than I thought and painful. Spent the day feeling rough, almost like I'm getting flu, so going to have tomorrow off. Eeks. Have had so much time off. So glad they were able to do it. Have to wait three weeks for results though!

sacrecoeur0712 · 27/02/2019 06:19

@QueenofFox so relieved for you that it's now done. Rest up today and hope the next three weeks flies by for you x

Floriday · 27/02/2019 06:57

Hey guys! Been missing in action for a couple of weeks. Had my 16 week appointment yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat Smile Got my 20 week scan appointment through for 3 weeks time! Time seems to be flying at the moment! Hope everyone is doing ok!

Whoopsies · 27/02/2019 07:45

I'm 17+4 and definitly showing! I had my first unsolicited congratulations from a school mum yesterday who said she had noticed my bump!! Not felt any definite movement yet, but hopefully not long!!

Jokie · 27/02/2019 18:34

@QueenofFox: glad it went well today. I hope the results come back soon.

@sacrecoeur0712: keeping everything crossed for you!

Another one showing and trying to not get too stressed about all the stuff that I can't fit into!

Chocolate89 · 27/02/2019 20:51

Had a doc appointment today, all well! Listened to the hb and had a little scan, my placenta is anterior, So obstetrician said thats why I'm prob not feeling movement yet (17+3) as she thought o would as it's baby no 2 and I'm tiny. So feel a bit more reassured by that!
I'm waking up with no bump then by the evening obv showing 😂 prob a lot of bloat

Bambino19 · 27/02/2019 22:38

Can people tell from our 13 week scan attached if it is a bit or a girl?

August 2019 4: All the scans and hopefully the end of nausea
Jokie · 28/02/2019 04:38

@Bambino19: I can't see the scan clearly enough to be able to suggest either way. Did they tell you which side the placenta is on?
