Part 3 already!

A list of those already on the bus. Welcome to newbies. It's the countdown to 12 week scans. I think I have nearly a month to wait though :-(

@spongeb0b I have to see an endocrinologist too thanks to my dodgy thyroid. With DC2 I didn’t get seen until I was 17 weeks - fingers crossed it’s sooner this time!

abw94 · 17/01/2019 18:32

@Curlywurlywoo with you on the spots!! My face is currently a dot to dot page! I will try sudocrem I'm at my wits endAngry

lickencivers · 17/01/2019 18:47

@milly2000 we have latitude tickets. still going! I'll be 37 werks!!!!

milly2000 · 17/01/2019 18:59

@lickencivers brilliant some things just have to be done.

I purchased some under bump maternity jeans from Topshop and they are so comfortable! Mine were getting so tight! Not sure if it's to early but I could not stand my normal jeans a day longer !

lickencivers · 17/01/2019 19:07

@milly2000 we had made a deal this would be the year we would see as much live music as possible so have 5 gigs while I'm pregnant and then ed sheeran tickets 2 weeks after the baby is due. Fml!

Curlywurlywoo · 17/01/2019 19:29

@abw94 I have been trying diluted tea tree oil then I’ve been trying diluted apple cider vinegar (and smelling wonderful Hmm) the sudocrem has worked a treat! I use a scrub to get rid of the dead skin etc first!

Just had my ultrasound appointment through for next Thursday!! Am relieved as that’s leaving it quite late (not far off 14 weeks!!) but so nervous now too! Smile

emma1224 · 17/01/2019 19:32

@milly2000 I have spice girls and I'll be 32 weeks pregnant then 😯😯😯

PinkLady89x · 17/01/2019 19:37

@clairelee17 this is exactly how I've felt. I was 90% sure that there was going to be bad news today - my pulse was 130 bpm at resting because I was so anxious and the woman was a bit shocked. It calmed completely after and I said 'I told you so!'

The scan lady told me within a couple of seconds that she can see a baby with a good heartbeat and I thanked her for being so quick to tell me. After that I just let her do the checks. I completely understand where you're coming from. How many weeks are you? My symptoms come and go. The breast soreness isn't actually that bad or noticeable tbh. That comes and goes too! The sickness isn't actually being sick but just nausea and dry heaving at times. I've more just gone off of most foods I used to love and I can smell everything. Those sorts of things could be easily unnoticed as they are not so obvious. Try and relax and know that it's clearly very normal to feel this way.

PinkLady89x · 17/01/2019 19:39

@lickencivers @milly2000 @emma1224 I thought I was being adventurous booking a cruise for when I'll be 20 weeks 😂.

clairelee17 · 17/01/2019 20:07

PinkLady89x I'm 11+1. So creeping up to 12 weeks. It's strange, since last week I don't feel pregnant. All my symptoms have calmed down, especially the nausea. Feel normal again. Just hope I hear a heartbeat straight away. Couldn't cope with another mc so soon after last one. We haven't told our families yet as we didn't want to disappoint or upset them if we get bad news. I'm not even letting myself dream about telling them because I've just got to hear that heartbeat first. Argghh! My belly is getting bigger by the day though, very hard to hide!

clairelee17 · 17/01/2019 20:08

@PinkLady89x Also I found out at the end of November so it'll been the longest 8 weeks of my life by the time I get to 12 weeks! Just hope it's all worth it! Fingers crossed....

Cobblestones · 17/01/2019 20:37

Congrats to those who had a good scan 👍👍 and @bakingabean belated happy birthday!

abw94 · 17/01/2019 21:31

@Curlywurlywoo blimey you've tried a few things! I'm currently using the carbon theory soap as before I knew I was pregnant my face was full of them and then I read it's hormones 😩 I'll try the scrub then sudocrem, thank you!

Bet you're relieved on the scan date. Hope it goes well

abw94 · 17/01/2019 21:32

Anybody had any cravings yet? I just want to eat salt and vinegar Pringles all the time!!

emma1224 · 17/01/2019 22:21

Amazing scans I've seen on here I'm so so jealous have my 12 weeks on Wednesday and it feels like I've been waiting forever but so nervous to go but excited at the same time! Just remaining positive! Blood test tomorrow which I'm in a state about as for some silly reason I always faint when having my bloods done 🙈 so been told I must inform them of this! Any ideas on how I can remain calm and not get into such a state? Before I embarrass myself lol
@PinkLady89x defo adventurous booking a cruise lol but how relaxing will that be before baby arrives anyone else thinking of booking a babymoon? These are a thing right? My other half is dead set against me flying lol so if I have one it will be in the uk lol

@abw94 yes with the Pringles I can eat them by the tub I think it's the flavour that does it calms my nausea

I've also been silly and bought a blood pressure machine because I've been stressed since them telling me it's low - advice is don't buy one my other half has had to hide it because I've become addicted to checking 🙈

How's everyone feeling tonight ??

Blueberry2018 · 17/01/2019 22:23

To all those experiencing less symptoms- i thought my sickness had gone this week (10+4) as was very sick last week. However i've just returned from a full on sick sesh! It will creep back up on you when you least expect it- make the most of the days when your feeling ok 😊

Ninunina · 18/01/2019 04:05

Anyone else suffer from Pregnancy insomnia? I woke up at 3 and just can't get back to sleep. It's so annoying! Does anyone have any tricks to get back to sleep? All I can think about is breakfast 🍳

starryeyed13 · 18/01/2019 05:07

@Ninunina yep! It's a killer. Just tried Headpace and it didn't help so just going to accept another night of 3/4 hours sleep 😩

Bakingabean · 18/01/2019 06:18

@ninunina it's hideous. Tonight was a goodish night as I slept till 5:30. For the last 8 weeks it's been 3-4 am. And when I do sleep it's not restful sleep as I have really vivid dreams and toss and turn. No idea how to get back to sleep- any tips gratefully received!

FirstTimer88 · 18/01/2019 06:21

@Ninunina have you tried the calm app? I love it and find it really helpful for getting to sleep and back to sleep. There’s also meditations for when you wake up too early but probably not worth trying to get back to sleep.

Whoopsies · 18/01/2019 06:32

No babymoon planned here, but some friends of ours have just been to stay at the hotel we had our honeymoon in and dh made a big thing about how we should go back so I'm hoping he surprises me with that 😂

Hope everyone is ok, I know it's a nerve wracking time leading up to our scans. I'm feeling ok after scan at 8 weeks and my ever expanding lower half, but still nervous. Just less than 2 weeks to wait for me. I just want it to hurry up because I'm starting to really look pregnant and it's getting hard to hide!

milly2000 · 18/01/2019 08:07

@lickencivers amazing. We do a lot of giggs, in Manchester in February as we have a few to up there. I think there ideal if your pregnant and into your musics. Most venues have areas they recommend for pregnant women specially if you worn them before. Well they do in London anyway.

@emma1224 you'll have a wicked time. We're looking at booking a trip to fuerteventura end of March but my partners dad has a villa out there so it's a cheap holiday for us and we know it well so will find it easy to relax. I'll be about 20 weeks.

UnicornDust17 · 18/01/2019 08:39

Yes @Ninunina I had it last time too with DS1.... Confused

I've got some mindfulness relaxation and meditation to listen too and there's also a thing you can do where you clear your mind nd focus on relaxing each individual part of your body.... It takes pradtice..

Luckily (if you can call it that!) DS1 was a spectacularly poor sleeper so I can actually function (ish) on 4 hours sleep, but by about 6pm I'm ruined.... Sad

abw94 · 18/01/2019 11:31

Morning ladies, how we all day today? 10 weeks today, time just seems to be dragging! Can't wait for our 12 week scan.

Off for a weekend break tomorrow although not looking forward to being so cold!

Chocolate89 · 18/01/2019 12:04

I booked a babymoon to marbella in April with my parents and 10 year old dd. Poor Dh is staying at home to work! Hoping all will be well, both parents are doctors so at least I can ask them if anything goes wrong!
Yes pregnancy insomnia is a killer, i was awake from 2-6 last night, finally got back to sleep for my alarm to go off at 7 😭 I have booked in for a pedicure this afternoon so intend to use the time to nap! 😂
