Oh going ro the loo a lot, I think at this stage it's about hormones rather than the amount of water consumed. Found something online along the lines of: "Hormonal changes make your blood flow to your kidneys more quickly, filling your bladder more often – which causes more frequent urination during pregnancy." Lovely.

My big craving today seems to be salt. I've been mostly feeling like fresh fruit and veg but today it had to be chicken noodles in salty broth for lunch. Apparently there's an old wives' take that salt cravings = boy, sugar cravings = girl. I'm not in any way superstitious but came across it trying to work out why salt is a thing. Something about increasing blood volume.

Sorry to hear that @edinburghlass1991. Take care of yourself xx

ratherbeshowjumping · 29/10/2018 14:16

Evening, does anyone else experience bloating? Driving me mad.. I’m a size 14 / 16 and I am finding I look so fat... I carry weight around my tummy but I feel so inflated... even unbuttoning my trousers throughout the day when I’m sat down. Confused

pancakes22 · 29/10/2018 21:59

Hello everyone. Is it too late to join in please? I think I'm due 3 July with my second. Ligament pains are the worst at the moment!! Will have a read and catch up on messages but great to chat with everyone! X

StargazyDrifter · 29/10/2018 22:32

@TwinkleDay I've also had horrendous bloating for about a week now. Had to unbutton my trousers at the theatre the other night. 😂 It's really getting me down, espacially as I'm not even eating much at the moment. Difficult to dress too, if that makes sense, especially for work. I've been wearing (stretchy) slim fit jeans and smart blazers and I'm sure there have been a couple of eyebrows raised where I work but it's the best I can do. Hoping this bit passes soon! Been trying to drink lots of water as apparently can help.

@pancakes22 - welcome! I have this nagging pain in the bottom right of my stomach which I initially thought was ligament pain but then dismissed as too soon... maybe that's what it is after all!

edinburghlass1991 · 30/10/2018 00:04

Hi thanks for all the kind messages. Something amazing happened today after filling two pads me and the epc thought mc but no when they scanned me a small but perfect sac was seen with no sigh of any bleeding or bruising. So where did the bleeding come from? Well let’s just say I’ve been having trouble going to the toilet recently! Despite what happened today and also my past mc I feel so positive and upbeat. SmileSmileSmile

That's amazing news @edinburghlas1991, and what a story to tell 🤣

Laburna · 30/10/2018 04:57

@twinkleday @stargazydrifter when I was pregnant with my son, my LMP was the start of November and I was wearing maternity stretchy top trousers by Christmas because I was so bloated.

I seem to be bloating and deflating a lot this time so far. I'm hoping I don't need them for a while!

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 30/10/2018 05:00

OMG that's amazing @edinburghlass1991 welcome back to the thread!

I've been suffering with bloating too and having to do the hair and on trousers trick with my jeans

ratherbeshowjumping · 30/10/2018 05:55

Thrilled for you @edinburghlass1991 - what fantastic news.

Also suffering with bloating but think that, tmi, may be due to being really bunged up I've completely gone off tea but have found that peppermint tea helps sickness & the bloating too.

I've been up since 3.30 feeling so sicky... it's going to be a long day 😩

Starryeyed1001 · 30/10/2018 06:05

Amazing news @edinburghlass1991 x

shouldidoitspoilt · 30/10/2018 06:17

shouldidoitspoilt · 30/10/2018 06:20

awakeatnight · 30/10/2018 06:24

@edinburghlass1991 that's amazing! Great that they scanned you and that you saw something! I never knew you could get images before 6 weeks. Sorry for your errr other trouble though. Hope they've also given you something to help!

TwittleBee · 30/10/2018 06:42

Hi ladies, please can I join you all! Just got my BFP for DC#2 after a year of trying. EDD is 12th July

edinburghlass1991 what a scare and what a relief!!

TwinkleDay · 30/10/2018 06:49

@edinburghlass1991 oh my gosh wow, what an emotional rollercoaster.. !! I actually started freaking out last night as I had a wipe of light pink... right before bed when I woke up at 1 am it had gone.. madness you must be blessed xx

Anyone had light spotting at 5-6 weeks ?

Frazzlerock · 30/10/2018 07:11

@edinburghlass1991 !!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled and relieved I am for you!!
That has really made my day and it's only 7am!

MummyG82 · 30/10/2018 07:22

@edinburghlass1991 wow! I started welling up then! That's amazing news!

're bloating, I'm the same, have to keep undoing my belt a hole and my trousers are tighter!

silverrose56 · 30/10/2018 07:49

@edinburghlass1991 that's amazing news, so happy for you. I had many issues 'going' during my first pregnancy and found that eating mango and using a squatty potty helped.

I'm just wearing my larger size trousers when I'm out and then changing into leggings or pyjamas when I get home.

pancakes22 · 30/10/2018 07:56

@edinburghlass1991 what incredible news so happy for you!!

How is everyone feeling this morning? I gagged for the first time brushing my teeth and thought uh oh here we go!! Tummy pains a bit better today whereas I have been having such sharp pains (ectopic ruled out). I worry when I have pains and I worry when I don't! Bring on 12 weeks!

StargazyDrifter · 30/10/2018 08:07

@edinburghlass1991 that's wonderful news!!! Lovely to hear! 💫 Well done you and little sticky bean for hanging in there!

Sick and exhausted this morning. No actual vomiting but I can barely bring myself to move.

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 30/10/2018 08:21

welcome @TwittleBee I remember you from the October bus, so pleased you got your BFP!

I'm feeling surprisingly ok today despite the toddler having kept me up since 4am! Finding i'm getting exhausted late afternoon though and usually fast asleep straight after DD1 at 7:30pm

Laburna · 30/10/2018 08:21

My sickness seems to have calmed a bit, lesson learnt on not eating too much at once. Having said that I've so far this morning I've only managed 1/4 of a cardboard cracker as the horrible taste in my mouth is back.

I think lactulose, fybrogel and movicol are all safe in pregnancy, but from memory mine settled after 12 weeks. It seems more that everything has slowed in the digestive system, than its stopped working altogether. My cramps and pains seem to be a lot more like digestive cramps than period cramps now.

Hello @shouldidoitspoilt and @TwittleBee

@pancakes22 can't wait for toothbrush gagging!
