@ratherbeshowjumping yes I'm super emotional. Found myself tearing up at the most ridiculous things. 🙈
Its all the hormones pinging about lol.

Sorry to hear about you mc, same with everyone else on here I'll have everything crossed for everyone xx

MummyG82 · 28/10/2018 08:54

@Laburna I've been so nauseous I can't believe it! That was the main reason I knew I was pregnant, I'm never sick. But I never had any symptoms with my ds I was very lucky. Looks like this one is going to be different. I have read that eating little n often helps with nausea, I force myself to have a bag of crisps or biscuits if I feel it coming on 👍🏻 xx

Laburna · 28/10/2018 09:07

@MummyG82 that's what I did with my first, I lived on salt and vinegar crisps and Go Ahead, but it was more feeling ill with hunger rather than actually feeling sick.

I had GD with my first, so assume I'll have it again, and will be told to start testing when I'm booked in, so trying to switch from carb heavy/sugar loaded stuff which is always my go to! Already craving pizza 🤣

MummyG82 · 28/10/2018 09:29

@Laburna oh no bless ya. Probably best to try n get into a good eating routine early on then by the sound of it.

Funnily enough I'm currently munching a tube of salt n vinegar Pringles 🙈🙊

TwinkleDay · 28/10/2018 09:37

I have been feeling sick on and off too Friday and Saturday this week and last, I eat digestives in bed and ginger nuts before I get up. Carry polos too just in case and an emergency apple that seems to help. Hope it passes soon for us all Flowers

Laburna · 28/10/2018 09:54

With my first it pretty much went by about 16 weeks, I just had car sickness after that - even when it was me driving! I used to have to sit outside for 10 minutes after I got to work before I could do anything 😂

Frazzlerock · 28/10/2018 10:14

I don't feel sick at all. That's worrying me as we're all about the same gestation.
I've read sickness doesn't kick in until 6 weeks so I'll expect it to come along by next weekend and try not to worry too much.
I've got that horrid taste in my mouth and constant thirst. Plus gone off coffee, or maybe I just hate decaf!

Barker26 · 28/10/2018 10:17

@allthegoodnamesarealreadytaken thanks for your advice I have no idea what I'm doing haha! Ref symptoms i am also slightly concerned I dont seem to have any other than slightly achy boobs? Expecting nausea to kick in then it doesn't!

silverrose56 · 28/10/2018 10:18

I haven't had any sickness yet, with my first it lasted from 6 to 14 weeks. I'm hoping it doesn't kick in till after next weekend as I've been gifted a 3 course meal in a fancy restaurant on Saturday which I would really like to make use of 🤞

awakeatnight · 28/10/2018 10:51

Hello! Anxiously joining the group. Think I'm due 6 July but after an MMC found at 13 weeks and an early loss both this year, im petrified of becoming attached to the idea of this pregnancy. No symptoms really yet - just a wee prickle of nausea. Hoping for a happy and healthy journey with you all x

edinburghlass1991 · 28/10/2018 11:36

I feel mild sickness but with my dd it wasn’t until 10ish weeks it kicked in. At softplay with the kids today wondering how will I manage with 3! How long have everyone been ttc for? It was the first month for very lucky

ratherbeshowjumping · 28/10/2018 11:46

Glad it's not just me with the tears & the sickness...!
@TwinkleDay digestives seem like a good idea. I've been munching on rice cakes, they seem to help.
@edinburghlass1991 we got married in July so since then but this month was the first we "actively" tried

Frazzlerock · 28/10/2018 11:53

Oh new people. Do we need a list?

I'm happy to get cracking on it. DP won't let me lift a finger right now so I've been sat on the sofa all weekend (except for the party last night) so I'm getting slight cabin fever and need something to do

StargazyDrifter · 28/10/2018 12:37

Hello, everyone. I'm going to quietly and hopefully slip into this thread. EDD 7 July.

Feeling both thrilled and worried after an MMC, a chemical and an ectopic all in the last year. The lines this time around have been strong since early on, and I'm determined that this is the one.

Have any of you downloaded any apps? I had Grow for my MMC pregnancy and really liked it - had a useful tracker of your daily vitamins, water intake and symptoms - but don't want to go back there again. This time, having arrived at my AF day with no AF and a handful of positive tests, I have downloaded BabyCentre and BellyBump (not sure about that one but will give it a go).

MummyG82 · 28/10/2018 12:38

@Frazzlerock great idea, I like it.

@edinburghlass1991 we've been trying since August, so fairly lucky.

Frazzlerock · 28/10/2018 13:37

Hi @StargazyDrifter you've been through so much, I think most of us have been through some really rough times with TTC so you're with people who get it

@edinburghlass1991 we've been TTC since June. But had a 2.5 period when DP refused point blank to try again after our two losses. I can honestly say those where the loneliest and darkest years of my life. So, despite only TTC for 4 months, it feels like 2.5 years. I am desperate to hold my rainbow.

Here is the new list. I understand it is hard to c+p on the app. What I did was c+p into my notes app, then c+p from there into the MN reply....

Laburna · 28/10/2018 14:08

@statgazydrifter I've been using the Ovia one, but I had a much better for my last pregnancy so am going to have a search.

Low point so far....just had to leave dinner at a great BBQ restaurant to sit in the car because the food smell and eating got too much. Couldn't even sit outside because everywhere smelt of BBQ 🤢

We've been trying since February this year, we've been /lucky/ that we get pregnant very easily, and have caught almost every month, they all just end in chemicals. 🤞 This is the furthest we've got by a long way!

allthegoodnamesalreadytaken · 28/10/2018 15:07

I find Ovia and What to Expect really good for week by week info on pregnancy and afterwards when baby is born too.

thanks for starting the list @Frazzlerock

I haven't really been feeling sick that much it's mostly just hot flushes and implantation pains known in my house by the term "fanny daggers"

This is our first month TTC so been fairly lucky. With DD1 it took 6 months with 3 chemicals before we were successful

Barker26 · 28/10/2018 16:02

My EDD is 02/07 from date of my last period, 1st month trying for us I feel so lucky! Feel absolutely knackered today have achevied nothing!

Frazzlerock · 28/10/2018 16:10

I'm using Ovia, Flo, and Preg+ because I'm greedy like that.

@Laburna yikes! You've got the sickness bad!

@allthegoodnamesalreadytaken your symptoms are the same as mine. Just hot flushes, the occasional niggle low down (plus the insatiable thirst and constant dry mouth)

Any ideas on how to chill out during these first few weeks? Some points I'm deliriously happy, the next I'm sobbing terrified that something is going to go wrong.

DP is being amazing. He doesn't want me to move a muscle. If I'm honest, I'm scared to move too. I can't be bed ridden for the next few weeks though. I'll go mad! Plus I have to go to work obviously. I'm so used to being active and always doing things, it's really hard to sit here doing nothing.

awakeatnight · 28/10/2018 16:23

Just to update the list that I have DD22months and put in @Barker26 Due date. Good idea to start one @Frazzlerock

Apps wise, I used baby bump and ovia pregnancy with DD. I have all my belly pics of her on the app and not sure what to do about them. Want to start for this one but don't want to lose her ones!

@edinburghlass1991 We had been trying for 7 months, after the loss of a 'surprise' at 3 months - so I guess 10 months since this baby journey started.

@Laburna sorry to hear about your bbq experience and the hard ride you've had to get this far. I hope this one is sticky!

StargazyDrifter · 28/10/2018 16:51

Thanks so much everyone for the app suggestions, sounds promising!

@Frazzle that must have been very hard to take a break from TTC like that. Must have taken a lot of strength. You sound lovely.

On staying relaxed, DH was out this morning and I had a fun time listening to really cheesy tunes on YouTube, bit of unexpected escapism from the worry. There's an app called Positive Pregnancy which I'm going to try out - will report back. That's the hardest bit, all this anxiety bubbling away.

@Laburna that really is bad! Hope it passes soon (but not too soon so as not to freak you out! 🤣).

Laburna · 28/10/2018 19:22

I feel a lot better this evening, I think it was probably feeling sick anyway and eating about ten times more in one meal than I have in about a week!

I used an app called 'Pregnancy Week by Week's last time so have reinstalled that.

I wouldn't worry too much about not having symptoms at this point, everyone is different and gets affected by different things and everyone reacts in different ways to the hormones. Some people are lucky and don't have any side effects (?) To being pregnant (those people I dislike! 😂)
