Hi everyone... finally found you! I'm typing this and watching free willy!

oh fruitful --- I hope everything is alright for you hunny. You'll be in my mind until i hear all is ok.

PCM - Glad everything went ok at the scan for you.

EVERYONE NEW _ HELLO!!

I'm now 10 weeks + 1 and can't wait for my apt on 20th June, Bought a book off ebay yesterday "Pregnancy for Dummies" looks absolutely hilarious as well as full of good info so I think that is going to be my bible from now on! haha

Anyway. Speak to you soon NOW I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE

MamaMaiasaura · 10/06/2007 14:48

Hi Jenswish I am 10+1 too that must mean you are due Jan 5th too Just been out for long walk, feel a wuzz because all achey there now. Just had nice ice lolly tho and feel much better.

fruitful · 10/06/2007 15:02

Hi all, thanks for all your messages.

The bleeding seems to have stopped so I'm feeling a bit hopeful. I'll phone the epu tomorrow and ask for a scan. I'm praying that the baby is just moving itself up to a better position. Worried about what that clot was though.

Has anyone heard from Skibump since her scan last week?

Jenswish · 10/06/2007 15:03

I was sitting down yesterday with the patio doors open and I swear I could smell cheap ice cream. i had to make DP go get me some cos all I could smell was the ice cream was really wierd.

I cant wait for apt to tell me whether I am right or not. haha

pussycatmomma · 10/06/2007 16:15

hi all....fruitful, the bleeding has stopped- good sign!! Will be keeping everything crossed for you. Is the epu at your local hospital? I was amazed at how lovely the staff were, Im sure everything will be ok for you tomorrow. Good luck sweetie.
jenswish - not sure how a scan will confirm you can smell cheap icecream??
Have moved on from lemonade sparkles in the ice lolly dept, and am now on fruit pastel ice lollies - frozen divinity on a stick!
I know we've got the due date list, but was wondering if we could have a list now and again of how far everyone is along? makes it easier for my hormone addled brain
eg Pusscatmomma, 7+3.
Dh doing my head in at moment, he is making up a list of diy jobs which he seems to think is desperatley important, when jobs i actually need doing like hoovering the stairs (anyone else terrified to hoover?!), mowing the lawn, ironing to name but a few are being sadly left by the wayside.
Presently he is chipping out a wall in the hall to put in a new plug socket for a digital phone he bought about a year ago....... really needs doing right now dh! Although he has appeared to have mended our shower which has been out of action for a while so I shouldnt complain too much.
Hope everyone is ok.
Work tomorrow, bleugh.....how nice would it be just not to have to work and just do some great community work just for the fun of it, and not dullsville work-a-day jobs cause we all have mortgages?
((((pusscat considers this and feels the onset of another ice lolly and a lie down)))
love to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm 9+1 if I have got a hang of all this dating stuff. Developing a tummy that will be harder and harder to hide for the next 3 weeks, only DH and I know I'm pg, but it is all Tzatziki and crisps at the moment I think. Just spent the weekend hanging out in the back garden in the sun and eating. DH is in Ibiza and he normally curbs my eating excesses

I'm just getting over a uti. I'm not to happy about taking antibiotics especially at this stage when the babu is growing tooth buds as it can damage teeth, but I'm sure having a UTI would have a greater impact if I left it. I don't feel sick anymore just tired still. Yesterday I fell asleep on the living room floor which is very unlike me but I had spent the day before running around central london. Just over two weeks until my scan!

goingfor3 - i didnt know that about antibiotics. Sorry to hear you had uti, hope you get better soon. I have been feeling more tired too, think baby is doing lots of growing . 2 weeks seems an age away right now but they will fly by.

Lucky for me already had 2 scans so am sure of dates and seen heartbeat. See midwife on Thursday and hopefully arrange nuchal fold scan.

Waiting for ds to come home at the moment.. getting impatient as missed him lots and his dad is late with no text/call.. grr

MamaMaiasaura · 10/06/2007 18:41

I like the idea about putting down how far along we are but wont it get a bit confusing as it changes everyday? Just a thought

plummymummy · 10/06/2007 19:25

Fruitful - so pleased your bleeding has stopped. Hope you get some good news tomorrow/tuesday. Lots of women pass clots without any harm to baby so try not to worry too much - esp now it has stopped. Hi everyone else. I am 7 weeks, 2 days. Yesterday I had to buy some maternity bras as my boobs felt too unsupported in my usual ones. Have gone from a 34D/DD to a 38C Mind you they feel so much better now and less tingly. Also bought a pg book and today a pair of trousers and a top from Limited Collection Maternity (M&S) It's not that I'm miles bigger yet but the waistband on my jeans just feel so uncomfortable.

Jenswish · 10/06/2007 21:18

I watched free willy today and cried . haha

Jenswish · 10/06/2007 21:30

I'm going to the zoo for my birthday. Am trying to persuade DP to go to west Midlands Safari Park. They have a theme park as well though, not sure whether there will be any rides I can go on but the animals must be good enough.

I've got really itchy skin today.... have ruined my boobs by itching them, looks like I have burst all the blood vessells under the skin. Horrid.

I've got horrid teeth and they hurt to brush. not having fun today can you tell? hahaha

Speak to you all later.

beller · 11/06/2007 07:41

goingfor3 · 11/06/2007 08:22

Morning all,

My fridge isn't working properly, the food just isn't cold on even the coldest setting. Not great as we went to Tesco yesterday and bought a load of stuff! Someone is comming on wednesday to have a look, hopefully he will be able to fix it straight away as I am having a party for DD on saturday! Our car had a flat tyre yesterday and we have only been car owners for 1 month and had no idea what to do , luckily our next door neighbour changed it for us as DP just didn't have the brute strength to do it!

Angechica · 11/06/2007 09:06

Good morning all I am reading this thread with much interest but don't get the chance to post very often as workmate looking over my shoulder and I haven't told them yet!
I am fed up because every night I feel so tired I have to go to bed early then I wake in the night for the loo and can't get back to sleep because my mind starts racing about the baby etc. This morning I cried because I didn't want to go to work... last week I was so tired driving in I bust my tyre on a kerb when I was trying to park. Doh!! Fled the scene in tears. Can't wait not to feel tired any more!

beller · 11/06/2007 09:18

Goingfor3 - hope you get the fridge fixed soon..not good in this weather eh? Is it keeping it cool at all?

Angechica- I feel exactly the same...I have a guy that sits next to me, and look over my shoulder..hasnt said anything yet, but he is off today. Sorry to hear about you car, hope some knight in shining armour helped you xx I dont want to be here at all...
I have the same.go to bed as im tired at 8.30-9 o clock, then have to get up for the loo about 3-4 times in the night! Last night i woke up screaming from a nightmare, and couldnt get back to sleep..heart was racing etc..Im supposed to be out with a client thursday, and i wont get home until about midnight, then up at 5?! Thats just not going to hapen, so will have to come up with an excuse....

MamaMaiasaura · 11/06/2007 09:47

Hi angechica welcome. When are you due and congratulations

Am full of cold now, never usually get colds. Sympathise beller about waking up at night. I was up 4 times last night, for wee and cos my nose is soo stuffy. Dont want to take anything for it 'just in case'.

MOrning fruitful, Am thinking about you lots today and sending beanie vibes your way. Good news that the bleeding stopped. Let us know how you get on hun ((hugs)) xx

Housemum · 11/06/2007 09:53

Morning all - Fruitfull, hope you're doing OK and that you get a scan today.

Going for 3 - not having a fridge working must be a nightmare! hope they can sort it. (Reminds me of when I was a kid, we didn't have a fridge until I was 6 - used to keep the milk under the sink in a bucket of cold water, always had to sniff it before you had some!!! By the way, this was only the 70's, I'm not really 60!)

Am highly relieved that DD2's mysterious rash is "just a virus" - it started with red cheeks yesterday (at first I just thought she'd wiped off her sunscreen and I was a bad mother!) and I was panicking about slapped-cheek, but luckily it spread to her legs and the doc said it was a non-specific viral rash and no need for me to worry. Phew!

Am feeling v chilled out today - spent the weekend camping in Bridport - popped down lunchtime Saturday, stuck the tent up, came back last night - yet it feels like we were away for ages! Went to the swimming pool twice, DD2 played games in the kids' club, watched a tacky kids' cabaret, pub lunch Sunday, to the beach, back to the play park and for DD1 to waste some pocket money in the arcade, then home for pizza. Only downside was that my back ached yesterday morning - normally I sleep really well on our camping mattresses but I think the stuff about your ligaments loosening etc must be right as I could really feel my back on Sunday morning.

Angechica · 11/06/2007 09:54

Glad it is not just me!!

We had a really busy weekend Freecycling - DH has developed an obsession with it (although he drunkenly tried to bid for a ginger kitten on it on Saturday night, I had to nip that in the bud). As well as getting rid of all the clutter in our spare room to make way for the nursery, I have now got a lovely moses basket, loads of bedding, lovely newborn clothes and other bits and bobs plus a wardrobe for the nursery. All absolutely free! All first timers should check it out - it is such a brilliant way to get kitted out for a baby! (although you have to wade through a lot of tat that people are trying to trade!). Just Google Freecycle to find your local group - the philosophy is to offer and receive things for free that would otherwise end up in landfill...

Housemum · 11/06/2007 10:10

I think everyone in our area sells stuff on eBay as all we ever get on Freecycle is stuff like incomplete crockery sets, sodastreams and Lego!

I have bought a secondhand pram from eBay - should pick it up this week or next, I'm not superstitious (we have 2 kids so the garage is full of baby stuff anyway). I also got a second car seat base for our Mamas and Papas baby seat from the local free-ads for a fiver so we could put a base in each car this time.

beller · 11/06/2007 10:35

Im lucky, my little sister son is 11 months...so i am having ALL her baby stuff off her!! Pram, moses basket, car seat, clothes, toys...well neutrel clothes for baby, and loads if i have a boy!
