Spud01, Awen, Moominmonster and Housemum ((hugs)) to you all thank you so much for getting back to me. Having written the post I had a big fat cry feeling helpless, DH was lovely and we went to M&S to buy chocolate muffin desserts. It is so good to hear you've had this too. I've never wished for nausea before! This first trimester really isn't easy is it? I can't wait for some form of proof everything's ok but next appt for scan is 2nd July so a way to go yet.
So I will try not to think about it (yeah right ) and thank you all again - if I could mke you all a nice cuppa I would. Am so glad you're all there!

Have a lovely weekend to everyone xxx

katyt1 · 09/06/2007 12:06

hello ladies, went to doc yesterday so now need to call midwife next week. they want to see you early here too, changed since having ds last year.
have sent off prescription form and form for scan to hosp.

becky, i wish i didn't feel so bloated & burpy which are my main symptoms, oh and tired. tho some days are better than other and i don't think 9 weeks is too early for symptoms to calm down. right struggling to make sense as ds is wailing and wandering about wanting lunch, better go.

waves to everyone, kt

MamaMaiasaura · 09/06/2007 12:08

Spud01 - started a thread for your questionnaire - hope that is ok here

MamaMaiasaura · 09/06/2007 12:10

Hi kt I couldnt believe how much it seems to have changed since have ds - feel like a first timer all over again. Know what you mean about the windy bloatedness (think is all the sprite i drink). ds said i was making all the flies come in the house.

Becky - thanks for the tea

spud01 · 09/06/2007 12:53

Thx Awen thats fantastic x

katyt1 · 09/06/2007 12:58

awen, i drink lots of sprite too, got to have something other than tea & water. don't fancy much else.

spud - have also done questions, hope it's ok?

right, ds having nap, really shd get some gardening done...or read book in sunshine...??? any bets?!

MamaMaiasaura · 09/06/2007 13:00

Katy1 - good name

plummymummy · 09/06/2007 13:28

Beckyau - I have sore boobs daily but that is the only consistent symptom I have. Other changes tell me I am pg - darkened nipples with bumpy bits(!), changes in appetite, not fancying alcohol, lethargy and what I can only describe as a nesting instinct - not feeling like going out. I recognise many of these symptoms from my pg with ds and am hoping that is a positive thing. I also have a sensation down there - a feeling that something is there and I know what spud meant when she said she remembered feeling empty after m/c. The feeling I get there is the same one that made me test. That's why I could never be one of those women who find out 3 months into the pg. No nausea as such. Moody - yes but that could be worry. Scatty - yes but that could be due to preoccupation with the pg and worry about outcome. One thing I know, we cannot compare our symptoms to those of other women as we are all different. Enjoy your muffins and try to enjoy the weekend with your lovely dh. It is a very worrying time but you will get through it. We all will.

Lozza70 · 09/06/2007 15:01

Hi everyone. I see my worries about not feeling pg, apart from my fat tummy (looks pre period water retention) and slightly bigger boobs that usual, are the same as everyone elses! I'm home alone for a week as DH is in Ibiza on a stag do and it's just giving me too much time to think and eat I have an immense appetite at the moment and I think I will have to go out for the afternoon just to get away from the fridge! Anyone else eating for England??

plummymummy · 09/06/2007 16:03

Yep. Maybe that's why I'm not getting much nausea

BeckyAu · 09/06/2007 18:23

Plummymummy - thank you.

We are telling my mum about the pg tomorrow. We were going to anyway as a birthday present for her (just know she's gonna cry!) but also, as an ex GP she may be terribly useful from time to time. Hurrah for mums xxx

katyt1 · 09/06/2007 19:02

yes awen, solid, timeless, short & easy to spell!

well, i have a v bad headache now, have tried 4head but it wasn't working so have taken pills. hope it goes soon, ouch!

have fun telling your mum becky. we told my mil on her birthday, she cried. well she's cried about every grandchild so far!

mummyto2littleprincess · 09/06/2007 19:08

plummymummy · 10/06/2007 08:54

just popping in to say how delighted I am to have reached 7 weeks, 2 days and not have had any bleeding

fruitful · 10/06/2007 09:18

Woke up this morning and am bleeding. Not huge amounts on the pad but enough to turn the water in the toilet bright red which was a shock! EPU say they don't do scans at the weekend. I had a scan on Tueday where they said the baby was implanted too low and might not "stick" so am worried now.

It doesn't hurt though - where does it hurt if its a miscarriage - is it like period pains?

And its bright red 'thin' blood, like when you cut yourself not like a period IYSWIM. Sorry if TMI!

plummymummy · 10/06/2007 09:35

Oh fruitful - sorry if my post now seems tactless. I was just so happy to have got this far cos have never got beyond 6 and a half weeks without bleeding. Ok........it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. That's the first thing to say. It might be to do with the low lying implantation. Can they bring the tues scan forward to tomorrow. It's good that you have no pain. I bet you are in bits. Why do these things always have to happen at the weekend

plummymummy · 10/06/2007 09:36

My m/cs hurt like a period but the initial bleeding was slight and didn't hurt. I got mild cramps though.

fruitful · 10/06/2007 09:52

I will prob be able to get a scan tomorrow. They said a doctor could examine me today but he won't be able to tell much will he?

The bleeding has all but stopped but there was a huge clot, 50p size. Aaggh I hate this.

Dh says I should go to bed and read through all the Harry Potter books; I think this is probably a good plan!

plummymummy · 10/06/2007 10:28

I agree. Lie down and don't do much. Thinking of you x

BeckyAu · 10/06/2007 11:05

Fruitful - so sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I think bed and boks and tea and biscuits is the order of the day for you. Try to relax as much as you can. I'm thinking of you x

gingeme · 10/06/2007 11:12

Oh fruitful well I can just echoe everyone elses best wishes. Get your feet up immediately. MCs arent always painful either. When I had mine it was like mild period pains and not much more. I realise that isnt much help but I realy hope all is well and you get your scan tomm

MamaMaiasaura · 10/06/2007 11:51

Fruitful was to see that you were greeted with bleeding this morning. Fingers x'd for you that it is all ok. What time is your scan tommorrow? Sending hugs, your dp is right, lots of rest for you today x

pussycatmomma · 10/06/2007 12:02

omg fruitful, i know you prob arent reading this you will be resting, but i just want to send you (((hugs))))) I so understand how you are feeling. The bleeding you have exp sounds v. similar to what i had last week, and i was terrified of something being wrong. My bleeding was watery red but no clots. I hope you get your scan very very soon. Just remember most times it will be ok and that lots of ladies get bleeding in early prg. I foun tht when i read all my prg books it seemed v. common. As prg ladies we just remember all the times we have read about it and miscarriage followed, because we are naturally scared, and we remember the bad bits. For what its worth the lady at the epu told me there could be up to 4 different reasons for bleeding in early prg (dont ask me what they are now, cant remember) but only 1 of those means loss of the baby.
Good luck sweetheart, impossible i know but try not to panic, we are all thinking of you

Yes that's encouraging pussycatmomma. Also I bled with ds on an off for several weeks but all was absolutely fine. Infact some mners have said they bled with each successful pg and not with their m/c. It's a minefield isn't it.

plummymummy · 10/06/2007 14:10

I feel so awful for typing that initital post this morning It has taught me a major lesson.
