@LMMEMW I'm 8+2 and have ordered some maternity jeans! I know it's early but none of my trousers are comfortable! Can't stand anything putting even a little bit of pressure on my tummy! It's probably bloating but I do feel like I'm showing already!

SPR1107 · 22/08/2018 17:57

I posted asking for a shopping list to help with sickness.. lots of people have given some good suggestions if it's of any use to anyone here too..

I had my early scan today, I'm 6+3 to my calculations. They said baby was measuring at 3mm and couldn't find a heartbeat. She's booked for me to go back in next week.

I have no idea if I should be worried or not x

Did they give you it in weeks as well @sachabloom. I had mine on Monday, I thought I was 6w 3d then, they saw pulsating but not a heartbeat, and dated me at 5w 5d. She said that's normal for that stage, and thinks likely dates are just out.. so could be same for you? They didn't book me back in though so going private

sachabloom · 22/08/2018 18:37

@SPR1107 no, she was extremely vague to be honest. My DH thinks they rushed us in and out because it was at the end of the day. To be fair I was only on the bed for about two minutes.

Don't get me wrong she was lovely and tried to reassure me, but with no real information it's hard xx

I've just had a google @sachabloom and it says 3mm is the 5th week, which would be too early to see a heartbeat. It sounds like you've had a similar situation to me, so perhaps it's just that your dates are slightly out x

Fluffy475 · 22/08/2018 18:47

I've worn maternity jeans a couple of times as I'm struggling!! I picked up a few bundles of maternity clothes on eBay so I have some basic tops/bottoms to help get me through these early weeks until I can wear it properly :) some great stuff out there

Annie264 · 22/08/2018 18:56

@Fluffy475 I never thought of eBay, will give that a go thankyou!

WhereistheWit · 22/08/2018 19:17

Hello everyone. Can I join? I’m 6+1 by calculations, I’ve known I was pregnant for awhile but only tested yesterday as I was in denial. I’m not unhappy about it but this is my 3rd baby and I’m really unsure about letting people know. I kind of just want to keep it to myself so it’s nice to be able to talk about it here. I just can’t believe it.

I don’t seem to have any symptoms this time which is weird. I’m hoping my nausea doesn’t just kick in in a week or two! I’d like to join the fb group as well so I’ve Pm’d Organised.

If I remember from my last bus though the fb group request goes directly to email and not to your notifications? I can’t remember the PW for my old email used so might have to try figure another way to join!

organised5 · 22/08/2018 20:08

@crazybaabaa I've just added you to the group, check your email as the invite should come through there.

@sachabloom I had this in February except I was 9+3 weeks and the baby measured 3mm so I knew it wasn't good. Standard protocol I found out is to wait a week and rescan to see if there is any growth. When I had mine, the sonographer said I was measuring around 6 weeks and it was 3mm so sounds about right for you. Fingers crossed the heartbeat will develop in the next week x

italianwifey · 22/08/2018 20:57

@sachabloom are you going to have another? What did the sonography say? From what I’ve read you ‘can’ detect a heartbeat from as early as 6 weeks but I bet that just means for some you can and others you need to wait a little longer. Why don’t you leave it a couple of days and try and get to your local EPU for another?

sachabloom · 22/08/2018 21:26

@SPR1107 thank you so much. I will let you know how next weeks scan goes xx

@ashley992 thanks for replying, I have my fingers crossed I'll get good news next week xx

@italianwifey yeah I'm booked in for next weds. From what I've read it would have been better to do a transvaginal scan to see the heartbeat but as I say I wasn't there very long and they seemed in a rush xx

littleemma1 · 22/08/2018 21:35

@sachabloom hope everything works out ok!
I’ve been booked in for an early scan, they wanted to see me at 6 weeks but I was so scared of having this situation I’ve re-scheduled to when I’ll be 7+3 (based on my calculations!) I’ve spoken to a lot of people who’ve had scans at 7w and had no bother finding the heartbeat, whereas I know quite a few who’ve gone at 6 and had to go back, like you. There’s no point in saying try not to worry as it’s natural that you will xx

Rapunzel91 · 22/08/2018 21:50

Place marking, wow can’t believe we’re in the second thread!

I’m 6+5 and have been sooo tired but especially in the afternoon to the point I’m almost falling asleep at my desk! Also get really nauseous but counting myself lucky as I know it could be a lot worse.

In terms of guessing the sex, I think I’m gaving a boy. If I could choose I would have a girl as my stepchildren and dog are all boys and I grew up with sisters which I loved. But it will of course be loved either way 😊

Kelsoid · 22/08/2018 22:36

Just catching up on all these! Gosh so many posts...I seriously have to be on it with this thread!

@Fluffy475 I'm from Cornwall! Whereabouts are you visiting? I absolutely love living down here...sorry we haven't kept the weather as sunny and glorious as July was for you ☺️ still hundreds of people out on the beaches though...takes a lot to keep us brits away from sea and sand eh!

@organised5 I'd love to be added to the group...is there a way of pm'ing privately? My email is my name and I do have friends who frequent these boards, I'd rather not post it publicly.

Fluffy475 · 23/08/2018 07:58

@Kelsoid we're in white cross just outside of Newquay. Beautiful area, we've been into Newquay and Hollywell and off into Perranporth today. We go home Saturday and are taking the 'Atlantic highway' back so we can do some more exploring. I just love it down here, I love being on the Cornish coast in particular, it just has such a wonderful feel, so lucky living down here!!
