Hi all, can I join? 4 weeks today and not many symptoms as yet apart from some palpitations and tiredness.

Have 1 DD who's 3. I'm feeling excited but also v anxious after a traumatic birth with DD and terrified of another one. Seems silly to worry about this at only 4 weeks but I can't help myself!!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 21/08/2018 22:40

Place marking 😊

zarala · 21/08/2018 23:28

Hey everyone
Im 4w1 today - very early. Just waiting for week 6 when I have my first reassurance scan... counting the days!

littleemma1 · 22/08/2018 05:06

@zarala I’m rescheduling mine for 7 weeks. I’m scared that if my dates are wrong (which I doubt it!) then it’ll be too early and I’ll have a stressful time waiting for another scan xx

Treaclepie19 · 22/08/2018 06:37

Hi all :)
Welcome newbies.
I'm feeling more sick each day I think.
Last night was the peak... I'm not out of bed yet. Hoping for a lazy day 😂🙈

Footymum81 · 22/08/2018 06:51

Checking in on the new thread. Been feeling so rough over the last few days. 7+4 today. Had a nightmarish upset stomach since Saturday which along with ever increasing all-day sickness has completely wiped me out. First antenatal appointment tomorrow so if it's not any better I'll see if I'm allowed to take anything. Even water has a funny taste at the moment!

DartmoorDoughnut · 22/08/2018 07:02

I’m 99% sure I’m out, bleeding heavier and some cramps. Will let you all know on Thursday.

Sending you all healthy pregnancy thoughts and lots of thank yous for all the thoughts and well wishes [mFlowers

monkerina · 22/08/2018 07:04

Checking in, welcome new ladies 😊

7+5 here and SO TIRED. DH snores horrendously (in fairness at 3am even him breathing makes me stabby) so I usually decamp to the spare room, but my parents have been here for the last few days so it wasn't an option. WHY does DS have to get up at 6am too AngryAngryGrin This time last pregnancy I was vomming on the regular, hard not to worry that I'm not this time- but then last pregnancy ended in mc so maybe it's a good sign for me??

Hope everyone is doing well, thinking of those of you with worries x

Treaclepie19 · 22/08/2018 07:29

I'm so sorry @DartmoorDoughnut
Thinking of you Flowers

SPR1107 · 22/08/2018 07:37

Sorry to hear that @DartmoorDoughnut. Really hope you get some positive answers soon.. take it easy x

zarala · 22/08/2018 07:43

That's a good plan @littleemma1
I am under RMC (recurrent miscarriage clinic) at st Mary's and they've requested I come in at 6 weeks. I'm hoping it isn't too early 🤞🏽

littleemma1 · 22/08/2018 07:46

@zarala keeping everything crossed for you!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

hellsbells552 · 22/08/2018 08:13

Hi ladies, joining!

I’m 6 weeks today, already have a DS who will be 3 in November. EDD 17th April.

I’m so, so grateful to be pg after trying for 7 months but honestly I’d forgotten how awful the constant sick feeling is Confused how on earth did I get any work done last time?!

Also had to stop my daily antihistamine and was given a nasal spray which is doing not a lot and my eyes are itching like crazy! Anyone else in a similar position allergy-wise? Also came pretty quickly off sertraline so ready to lose my shit any day now Grin

Ahhhh fun times.

SPR1107 · 22/08/2018 08:15

I've lost track a little bit, who has a scan coming up this month? My next one is 31st August

hellsbells552 · 22/08/2018 08:17

@SPR1107 I hear ya, I dread to think how much weight I’ve put on in the last few weeks, but it’s enough to necessitate me retrieving all my maternity clothes from the loft Grin

seeingdots · 22/08/2018 08:18

Thinking of you @DartmoorDoughnut xx

Has anyone else not yet called their GP/ self-referred to MW? I'm only 4+6, so a bit behind many of you, but I don't feel ready yet to make it 'official'. Not even sure how it's working in our area now actually as they've closed down the local midwifery unit since I was pregnant with my DD.

hellsbells552 · 22/08/2018 08:19

@Footymum81 that sounds awful Sad are you chucking up or just feeling sick?

Beaglemum93 · 22/08/2018 08:37

Thinking of you @DartmoorDoughnut x

@seeingdots I'm 4+6 too and I have contacted the GP but they won't refer me to a midwife until I have an appointment with them to confirm the pregnancy. I have an appointment for that on the 30th August when I'll be 6 weeks.

donna474 · 22/08/2018 08:56

Morning ladies, 5 weeks today and can't believe how quickly time is flying since I found out 10 days ago. Feels like my world has become pregnancy obsessed! I'm really struggling to make sure I get a decent breakfast, never been a breakfast person, have always just eaten when I want but finding it stressful making sure I'm eating at the right times, anyone else struggling with this?

claireymacd · 22/08/2018 09:13

@donna474 I'm struggling with the eating too. For me, it's because I've fought all my adult life to get thin and fit and now I've managed it I'm really struggling with having to eat more and frequently and the constant hunger plus not being able to do my regular gym work outs because of the intensity. I'm just telling myself it'll all be worth it in the end and I can deal with the weight gain after baby is here!

TheMagicTorch · 22/08/2018 09:39

@hellsbells552 I feel your pain - I have had to come off 40mg of Fluoxetine (after 2 years) pretty much cold turkey so I'm struggling a bit with mood swings, but have managed not to punch anyone yet and I'm still getting out of bed every day so small victories 💁

@DartmoorDoughnut so so sorry lovely, thinking of you and sending virtual hugs. Take care xx Flowers

I'm swinging between no appetite and craving easy to reach for carb-heavy foods. I've treated myself to avocado on seeded toast for breakfast at my desk this morning (normally a no-no on slimming world) with a decaf coffee and it was lovely. Hopefully the nausea stays calm today.

wellthatwasunexpected · 22/08/2018 10:03

Much love @DartmoorDoughnut, gentle hugs ThanksThanks

donna474 · 22/08/2018 10:28

I read about the ideal portions and intake of the different food groups you should have depending on trimester and I was a little overwhelmed, I personally don't eat much dairy or grain on a daily basis so I'm trying to have a glass of milk and get some bread into my diet but it just makes me more bloated. I don't usually eat bread as was gluten intolerant for a few years due to stress and the habit has stuck, now I'm having to force whole grain seeded toast down my face and it feels wrong. I need to change my mindset but don't know how

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 22/08/2018 10:37

Donna I wouldn’t worry too much honestly, if things don’t agree with you I’d avoid. The pregnancy craving are often what your body is deficient of, my last pregnancy I craved tinned tomato’s and towards the end I could of bathed in a bath of Guiness (never normally drink it)
I’m also holding my boobs as I walk down the stairs. My children are watching cartoons and I’m still in bed, I have so much to do.... going to set 15min timer on my phone and try and do it in chunks. Wish me luck.

Eastend2015 · 22/08/2018 10:38

@dartmoordoughnut I am so sorry. Please take care of yourself xx

Tentatively joining- 5+1 with DC2, I have a DS who is 2. I had an EP and a MMC before him and 2 MCs since so am really anxious. Everything is looking good so far though so am trying to stay positive. I have a scan next Thursday at 6+2 and really hoping to see a little heartbeat there.
