Thank you lovely ladies ❤ xxx

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 15/10/2018 21:41

Do they need to do an amnio @treaclepie19 if they are doing the NIPT? X fingers firmly crossed for you

Treaclepie19 · 15/10/2018 21:49

The NIPT results will come back Monday but are only for downs, Edwards and patau so if it's one of those then I suppose they may not need to. Otherwise we will definitely have to... although saying that they did say they needed to even if the NIPT came back with bad results so I'll have to check that on Monday.

Thank you xxx

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 15/10/2018 22:27

Fingers crossed for you Treacle handhold here x

lolacola13 · 15/10/2018 22:30

@ashley992 yes! I'm 14 + 1 and I noticed this last week maybe the week before . Coincides with the placenta taking over I hope.. no sickness or nausea at all anymore nipples sore and am starting to feel my womb rising out of pelvis when I lie flat ? Xoxox

Annie264 · 15/10/2018 22:32

@5tarlight oooh true...yours sounds like a bit of a celeb name!! 🤪🤔

39Suzy · 16/10/2018 07:01

@treaclepie19 glad it went as well as it could.1 in 5 means 80% everthing is fine 😁
PM me if you want to chat between now and next Monday x

MigMog · 16/10/2018 07:24

@ashley992 I'm finding similar. I think it's a second trimester thing. I found it quite a shock at first. Once the bump appears I think I'll feel better about not feeling as rubbish

newrubylane · 16/10/2018 09:22

I wish my symptoms were gone. I've been suffering since last night with stabbing pains in my front and side and horrendous lower backache; I think my bump may be about to make a proper appearance (I'm already showing a little bit). I've also finally got my iron tablets sorted, so i started with those yesterday and promptly started feeling sick again - although luckily no actual vomiting.

italianwifey · 16/10/2018 10:32

@newrubylane im getting similar, keep getting pains low down if I sneeze, cough or laugh! and my back has started hurting. I feel huge but I think it is just how it feels because looking in the mirror its not that big!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 16/10/2018 11:37

I have massively popped! I had terrible back pain last pregnancy fingers crossed not this time. Hope everyone is feeling well. Has everyone had their scans now?

newrubylane · 16/10/2018 12:32

@italianwifey – yes I've had the sneezing/coughing/laughing pains since a couple of weeks in. Annoying since my nose is super-sensitive and I sneeze ALOT, and before people knew it was really hard to hide the flinching reflex every time. I sort of have to brace myself if I feel a sneeze coming on.

And now it seems to have turned into a sort of deep throbbing/stabbing pain, mainly on my left side, every few minutes, even if I sit or lie perfectly still. No other symptoms though, so I'm assuming it's just a different iteration of the same round-ligament pains as everything stretches out.

I had really bad lower back pain super-early on (along with other symptoms, all very strong), from about 10 days before I got the positive test. But the backache was really unusual for me so I was convinced I was pregnant and my OH was desperately trying to stop me getting carried away with it. But it turned out I was right. With hindsight I'm wondering whether the reason my symptoms were so strong was because it's twins? It's my first pregnancy so I have no basis for comparison, but i kept reading all the 'could be confused with PMS' comments when i was googling the symptoms and thinking this is NOTHING like PMS, and far too early for that anyway!

I feel massive too, but when I look there's hardly anything to see really. My OH pointed out as I was getting ready for work this morning that when I bend over I have a proper bump, so I'm pretty sure it's only a matter of time now...

Whingeing aside, I'm happy that my appetite seems to be increasing, and it's been so lovely to be able to share the news finally. Everyone has been gobsmacked that there are two of them in there - particularly in the office where most people hadn't suspected a thing (so i really can't be showing much, can I?!)

Ohnonotanotherusername · 16/10/2018 12:37

Another one here with sharp pains when I sneeze/cough - which is a pain as I've had a bad cold for 10 days now.

I've definitely popped, fully into maternity clothes now. I can just get my non maternity work clothes on, but can't really breath or move once they are on.

I've got a date for my 20 week scan now - 5/11. Can't wait! Anyone else got a date for that yet?

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 16/10/2018 13:13

@newrubylane thinking about it I was signed off work at 8 weeks last time with my back pain and that was twins so it might be! I’m just hoping now I’ve only got one I won’t get it. I saw a physio through my pregnancy, if I were you I’d see your go and see if you can get a referral now because there might be a wait list x

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 16/10/2018 13:14

I bought H&M maternity jeans and they are so comfy Grin

newrubylane · 16/10/2018 13:42

Thanks @SheRa, I'lll see how I go. It only really started again last night but if I'm still suffering in a few days I'll look into it.

My 20 week scan is 3 December x

Buttons28 · 16/10/2018 16:13

I have my 20 week scan also on the 3rd of December, feels ages away!

Treaclepie19 · 16/10/2018 16:16

I was waiting until after the scan to buy maternity clothes... now I'm still not buying them so i just look ridiculous squeezed into my leggings and loosest dresses 🙄

The sneeze and cough pain is so common.

Looking through my notes from fetal medicine I have an anterior placenta this time. Wonder if that's why my spd hasn't started yet?

Hope it's okay me hanging around, I know it's probably not a nice reminder that things can go wrong.

MigMog · 16/10/2018 16:34

I've not popped yet. Maybe the smallest hint of a bump emerging. I bet if Id took photos I'd be able notice

I'm looking forward to getting a bump. With easing symptoms and scan over I want go see more of it!

I'm sure it's just a matter weeks.

Been getting the stretchjng pains this last few days too. Expect that's things starting to move up and get bigger.

italianwifey · 16/10/2018 16:54

@migmog I started taking photos obsessively haha as I was desperate to see bump! I bet mine is more ice cream and choc than baby 😂although usually I have quite a flat tummy and my hips are where I store my fat!!
@treaclepie19 try not to assume everything has gone wrong yet, things might be okay... you should definitely still be here I’m sure everyone would agree. I know it’s easier said than done, but like someone said before 1 in 5 only means 20percent chance? I’d read a few other threads about people having positive outcomes after a worrying screen, keeping everything crossed 🤞🏼 Flowers

Ohnonotanotherusername · 16/10/2018 16:58

Of course it's ok @Treaclepie19 like others have said, nothing is certain yet. Fingers crossed it will be a false alarm xxx

MigMog · 16/10/2018 16:59

@treaclepie19 sorry to hear about your results and worry. But stay in the group. It's not a certain.

My little sis got a 1 in 14 chance of downs. She paid for a private test and it came back as 1 in 200,000. She's now got a lush little 3 week old who has none of these things.

Treaclepie19 · 16/10/2018 17:04

Thank you everyone Flowers
I know it can go well, I'm just scared.

I think I'm worrying about having the amnio if there's nothing wrong but even if the NIPT comes back as negative for downs Edwards or patau we need to test for the other problems because the NT being so big is normally a bad sign of something.

Griffer · 16/10/2018 18:03

@treaclepie19 we want to support you through this. If you just dissappeared I'd worry! Whatever the result and whatever you choose to do, we'll support you. The beauty of these forums is that we're not here to judge.

I constantly worry about things going wrong. I think I will until baby is born!

Treaclepie19 · 16/10/2018 18:13

Thank you so much @Griffer

I did the same with my son. Even when he was here... in fact I haven't stopped worrying about him :p
