Anyone else?

I have quite long cycles but using OPKs, I have a rough idea of when I ovulated and have just got the faintest of lines. So 30 April or 1 May for me! Eek.

I soooooo understand how you ladies feel... apart from some tiredness and bloating I honestly feel fine... so I’ve been doubting it’s actually real. I’ve done 3 IC cheapies and 2 FRER - think I’m going to have to get a CB Digital today.
Even tho this is no 3 I’m just as nervous as ever!
Hope everyone is feeling good (while it lasts) x

SurfingOwl · 22/08/2018 11:12

I’m another one without anything noticeable in the way of symptoms. I keep looking at my positive test and smiling but that is the only evidence I have of pregnancy!

Mejse · 22/08/2018 11:53

@mimiSunshine I only did the one pregnancy test last time then just waited until the scan at 12 weeks. This time I have done two already and I have only just passed the date my period was due, now I'm very tempted to get an early scan too.

My only symptoms so far are sore boobs and some strange dreams. I would be more than happy if the nausea stays away though

SurfingOwl · 22/08/2018 14:11

I’ve done two tests as well and I think I will have an early scan or two for peace of mind.

CrystalBlaze · 22/08/2018 14:16

Hello all, and congratulations! Smile

Could I please join? I'm 4+5, due date by my calculation is April 26.

In terms of symptoms, I have sore boobs, ridiculous bloating and I'm completely knackered. Trying to keep active and eat healthily as much as I can.

How is everyone else feeling?

blh23 · 22/08/2018 14:22

@CrystalBlaze congratulations lovely!

I've got exactly the same symptoms! xo

CrystalBlaze · 22/08/2018 14:35

@blh It still doesn't feel real really! What's your due date? Is it your first?

UntilTheVeryEnd · 22/08/2018 14:37

@CrystalBlaze eating healthy means eating what you fancy right? Hmm I ate a boat load of beige freezer food cause quite frankly anything else was turning my stomach...

I picked up my CB digital so going to try and hold out til the morning to see how many weeks it says. Nervous and excited at the same time.

Defo planning on an early scan this time - don’t think I’ll be able to wait til 12 weeks xx

MimiSunshine · 22/08/2018 14:41

@Mejse first time around I had two tests in a box, did one and just left the other but that came up a really strong ‘pregnant’ as I was further along.

This time did both and if I allowed myself to go and buy any I know I’d keep taking them.

So far my symptoms are, vivid dreams, frequent poos 🙈☺️ And slight tiredness with the occasional dizzy spell when I stand up with perhaps a little bloating. Oh and a bit of a back twinge.

I’m really trying hard not to obsess but all of the above doesnt really feel like its symptomatic enough 😬

I’ve got my booking in appointment with the midwife booked in so just another 4wks to go for that.

CrystalBlaze · 22/08/2018 15:40

@Mimi that all sounds normal to me. Also getting the occasional bout of dizziness.

And @UntilTheVeryEnd absolutely Wink I'm not feeling sick at this point so maximising on fruit and veg while I still can. That's the thing that is really worrying me to be honest, I am really bad with feeling/being sick.

blh23 · 22/08/2018 15:57

@CrystalBlaze by my calculations which probably aren't correct it'll be start of May - yes it's my first! What about you? xo

CrystalBlaze · 22/08/2018 16:28

Yes my first too! So exciting

blh23 · 22/08/2018 16:53

@CrystalBlaze we'll stick together! 💁🏼‍♀️ x

seeingdots · 22/08/2018 20:30

Hi guys, do you mind if I jump on here too? I'm 4+6, due 25th April but I'm expecting this to be a May baby as my first clung on inside until being evicted at 40+13. She was the last one to arrive (by a week) on the MN thread I was on so I'm thinking this time round it'd be nice to not be left behind!!

My DD is just coming up for 2. Feeling all you second timers with toddlers/younger ones and thinking how the hell am I gonna cope bring pregnant this time round. I'm 33 and I think DD's first year aged me about 10 years so I have even less energy nowadays Grin. Not much in the way of symptoms here yet apart from a bit of cramping and tiredness.

kiltedsheep · 22/08/2018 21:02

@seeingdots
OMG, I completely know what you're talking about.

My DS is just coming up to 3 and I cannot imagine how juggling him and a newborn baby is going to work. I mean, tons of people obviously manage (and manage very well), but I was just so grumpy and tired today, and I've only just got pregnant! DS is going through a stage of demanding I make up stories to tell him, which is very cute in one way, but in another way I just can't be arsed to come up with the goods - he's very specific ("Tell me a tale about Batman and a crane truck and a T-Rex...") and very insistent...Hmm

Mejse · 22/08/2018 22:09

@seeingdots I was 13days over with my first too, he was already due at the end of the month so we were very much left behind. Its tough being so pregnant and seeing everyone else posting photos of their babies. I'm due on the 30th so this will probably be a may baby if they are anything like their brother

UntilTheVeryEnd · 23/08/2018 05:55

Morning ladies! I promise you ladies found from 1-2 DC, the thought is actually worse that the reality... I was really hard on myself when DS was born, thinking I was leaving my DD our or letting her watch too much TV cause I was just so tired. In truth I wish I had allowed my self more breathing room and not been so concerned with showing everyone how well I was doing. The same was true for pregnancy - I was so intent on proving I was “fine” that I never really relished those final days. So I think ladies, that you will cope being pregnant and having a DC... just try to accept sooner rather than later that you don’t HAVE to do it all and be super pregnant mum.
In this vein I told my DH how exhausted I was and that I needed a nap... went for a lie down and felt so much better (never did this with 1 and 2)

In other news, I took my CB digital this morning... defo pregnant, seeing the word helped haha! 2-3 weeks should have me roughly between 4-5 weeks pregnant yay!

Wishing everyone a great baby growing day, long may no one spew!

8DaysAWeek · 23/08/2018 07:41

Nervously coming over from the conception board...

Got my bfp the other day at 10dpo. 3+5 weeks today :) taking another FRER tomorrow and hopefully will see some progression.

Has everyone contacted their midwife/GP yet?

blh23 · 23/08/2018 07:53

@8DaysAWeek Hey! congrats 😊

Your exactly the same as me date wise. Yeah I've recently just moved doctors so when I registered they asked if I needed an appts booking so told her and she had one booked straight away for 27th September! xo

8DaysAWeek · 23/08/2018 08:10

Eek exciting! I'll call today. Think when I've got that appointment it'll feel more real.

Only problem with finding out so early is that it's a looong wait to get everything started appointment wise.

seeingdots · 23/08/2018 08:19

@kiltedsheep I bet those story requests were very cute first 5 times!

@Mejse you understand! If this is an early baby I'll eat my hat. I get the feeling my DD would've stayed in for another week or more if she'd had the chance. She was only 6 lb 6 despite being just a couple of hours shy of 2 weeks late.

@UntilTheVeryEnd - wise words. I think 'good enough' is going to be my motto!

@8DaysAWeek - Hello and congratulations! I haven't been in touch with mine yet. I'm thinking I might do it the beginning of next week sometime when I'll be about 5 1/2 weeks.

UntilTheVeryEnd · 23/08/2018 09:02

I just buckled up courage and phoned the midwife... apparently my local unit is no longer scanning etc so everything been shifted to another center... can’t get a booking appointment til am 10 weeks Sad really was hoping for something sooner.
Maybe if you are umming about phoning, maybe just phone in case your local centre is affa busy like mine.

BarnabyJones · 23/08/2018 09:12

Hi can I join please? 4 weeks yesterday which puts me at 1st May, though I know I ovulated super early!
First baby and am symptom spotting everything. The sore boobs thing is oh, so real right now.

It's good to hear other people's news and to share what feels like the biggest secret!

8DaysAWeek · 23/08/2018 09:33

@UntilTheVeryEnd I've been umming a bit but will phone thanks. Uh 10 weeks is such a long wait :(

Seeing my best friends for dinner tonight. We decided to wait until the first scan to tell anyway but it's gonna be hard!

UntilTheVeryEnd · 23/08/2018 09:46

@8DaysAWeek awwww that will be affa tough not saying, especially if your not drinking. I’m umming about telling my best friend - she told me the second her test turned pink (her first) and she is around 32 weeks now. I want to tell her but am worried she will be mad that I’ve stole thunder as it’s my third IYKWIM... she is also my SIL and had lots of trouble in the fertility department, unlike me who seems to get knocked up just looking at my husband Blush
