@LookingAtTheStars89 thanks for the reassurance, definitely have my inhalers on standby and have been told to take my preventive 3 times a day if it gets worse. How are you getting on?

@myotherbagisgucci a friend of mine has the bugaboo and absolutely loves it.

Welcome everyone new - definitely feeling too sick to keep up with all names, sorry. The nausea is horrible, and only stopped by eating and sleeping (not helpful) and worsened by sound and smell.... Perfect combo with a lively 3 year old currently wanting me to be a fireman....!!!
Booking in appointment tomorrow - have told me to book out an hour. Need to find my notes from DS to take... Eugh

@HidCat. I got my asthma back under control to get a bladder infection, which I'm still currently battling lol but nevermind! I never go out without my inhaler any more, I don't have a brown one but I take the blue one if I need to.

@ladycarlotta we're so close. Hopefully they won't put me behind at my scan, I don't mind forward but not back! It's exciting to think we're going to see our jumping beans in a few days. 🤞🏻everything is all good.
I've been impatiently waiting what feels like forever for this scan to come round.
As I found out quite early on about my pregnancy I feel like I've been pregnant forever! Don't remember feeling like this with my first DD 😬

Thanks to everyone for your reassurance on the breathing front, I'm feeling much better on that score today. Thinking the sleep has probably helped.

The OH and I are looking book a holiday soon, for either next month after scan or October. We only want a short haul hop and somewhere relatively sunny, all suggestions welcome!

I'll be interested to see what people suggest, @ballanj, we haven't had a holiday this year and it would be nice to have a little break before baby.

@SDP84 I know! Every day counts! Was a bit gutted when they put me back even though it was only by two days - like I just lost a milestone. I know it's silly though, and by 40 weeks a day or two in either direction is NOT going to be a thing.

Sometimes the time drags and sometimes it feels like it's whizzing by. I have so much to do before the baby comes, I shouldn't really wish the months away.

ladycarlotta I've been waking up with a headache which generally eases by lunch, trying to make sure I'm not getting dehydrated to see if that helps.

Can I ask a personal question?! How are people's sex lives in the first trimester? I am really struggling to want to do anything because I just have this background feeling of sickness the whole time. But I am feeling bad for DH...

@BadBadBeans brace for possible overshare. I think we've managed to actually DTD once since BFP? have done other sexythings a few times, but initially I was too crampy and uncomfortable and paranoid to want it, and latterly I've been so sick and exhausted at the opportune moments. DP has never been particularly proactive about pursuing sex (I honestly think this is mainly down to absent-mindedness) so without me instigating it just hasn't happened. If I didn't feel so ill I'd be unhappy about it, and to be honest I do get quite horny sometimes, just never at the right moment. I don't want to make this our new normal though, so hopefully will feel better in second trimester.

@ladycarlotta - I’ve had headaches most days for the past few weeks, I think it’s just one of the many symptoms we experience!

Well, it turns out baby really doesn’t like anything orange, end up throwing it up within 5-10 minutes of having it. Made the mistake of having orange lucozade earlier then brought it back up 🤢 just what the people in rush hour traffic wanted to see 😂

12 week scan today - my baby boy was kicking around, super active baby. They readjusted my dates again - now EDD 25 Feb.

We haven't DTD since BFP! I've forgotten how to do it I think! DH being a star about it and hasn't asked me once. I think he knows what the answer would be considering just how sick I'm feeling all the time. Officially 12 weeks tomorrow so fingers firmly crossed this "morning" sickness will soon end 🤞🏼.

We've DTD once since BPF, didn't really feel particularly sexy as I was massively bloated but thought what the hell. I don't mean to be horrible but tbh, it was pretty poor. God knows what OH thought would happen but he was worried about reaching my cervix so it ended up a half hearted affair on both of our parts. Recently I've been too nauseous to even think about it.

First post on this thread... Due on 27/03/19 and its baby number 1 for us. I'm 30.

I've got my booking in appointment tomorrow. I've always known that I'd be classed as high risk if/when we got pregnant as I have epilepsy (due to a brain tumour) so it's with the specialist midwife who is also linked up with my epilepsy nurse. I assume a lot of the discussion about my health etc won't happen as I've been very much on the system with lots of departments in the local hospitals, and likewise, I assume they're going to want me to have the baby in the consultant led unit thing... so wondering what else is there to discuss at this stage? As it feels like a lot of it has already been pre decided/out of our control due to my medical issues! We know we want all of the tests as we are very analytical/data driven so can't really see why you wouldn't take what was offered... So am not really sure what to expect beyond that...

cardboard33 they will probably still ask a lot of the questions anyway as they will want to make sure your maternity notes are as actuate as possible, family history is also taken. Tests etc was just a yes or no question last time for me so didn't take much time.

@LittleKitty1985 we're off to Naples/amalfi coast for a few days in sept (although yet to work out where we're staying, so any tips welcome?!) before heading down to Sicily. Never been before so v excited! Your trip sounds fab!

@ladycarlotta with you on the headaches! Paracetamol not shifting them. Fatigue has become more acute and I suspect that's contributing.

@BadBadBeans re sex, I think we've dtd maybe three times since bfp? Once I initiated after waking up from a sexy dream and feeling particularly horny! Most of the time it's far from my thoughts and DH hasn't really pursued it, I think he gets that I just feel rubbish and don't have the energy. Your response made me chuckle though: it's totally understandable!! High hopes for T2 all round I think!
