@cardboard33 I wore normal clothes in my 1st pregnancy until I was about 6.5 months just needed a bump band for certain clothes.
This time I have been in maternity clothes at 10 weeks Blush

I also have to eat little and often otherwise I feel very faint.

I am actually eating the 1st healthy breakfast since finding out I am pregnant and enjoying it.
I have been having toast or crumpets with a thick layer of butter Blush but today I am having a slimming world breakfast of cous cous, yoghurt and fruit

@cardboard33 I have an appetite but find I can't eat huge portions. I was a strictly 3 meals a day girl, no snacking. Now I'm having to eat a small portion of cereal the minute I wake up. Whilst I feel quite hungry I've become quite disinterested in my food which is completely opposite to what I'm usually like! I'd say I've gained around 5lbs and coming up to week 13

@cardboard33 it's my first too! I was hoping I could get away without wearing maternity clothes for at least 4 months.. I haven't really got that much bigger so far. Just on some days I have to un button my jeans that were a bit snug to begin with. I'm a size 12 though so quite a bit bigger that you.
Some days I'm absolutely starving and others I'm hungry at meal times until I get my food in front of me then can't eat more than a few mouthfuls. I'm trying to stick to just meal times as I'm getting married in 8 weeks time so don't want to put on too much weight. I lost about 3kg to start with as I felt sick quite often- like you I haven't actually been sick (touch wood). It's slowly creeping back on so I'm now only a kilo lighter than I started x

I have hardly felt sick and I am hungry!!
I have put on 5 pounds just because I was on SlimmingWorld and now eating a little more naughty. Hungry first baby here.

@Funnybunnyfluff I was on SW too. It's gone to pot in the first trimester but I'm back at work tomorrow so planning on getting back in the wagon!

How many of us are getting scanned this week?

My booking in appointment is Tuesday and the letter said I will be scanned then also. I'm assuming it's the dating scan.

My scan isn't until the following week when I'll be 13+3 which feels like I'm waiting ages. Also looks like I am doing another booking in with the consultant after it.

Booking in appointment for me, no letter just a phone call.

She said she would book my scan in on Tuesday so hopefully it will only be another week. Fingers crossed.

@cardboard33 like you I am an 8, and some ordinary clothes I did stay in through most of the pregnancy - a couple of loose floaty dresses for example. But by god did I need maternity jeans and stretchy tops! I found that I put on weight nowhere other than my boobs and bump, with the result that my bump looked absolutely enormous compared to the rest of me. Your mum's one stone gain - was that with the baby in, or just after she gave birth? Because although I didn't weigh myself while pregnant, my baby was nearly 9lbs, and then the placenta would have been several extra lbs, plus all the amniotic fluid... I really did look like I had swallowed a beach ball. Also, I stayed in my skinny jeans as a point of pride until about 16 weeks and then I got maternity jeans and realised maternity jeans were so much more comfy! Honestly, just embrace the maternity wear when you get to that point. Better - and more flattering - than stretching out your good clothes!

I never got a scan letter . The midwife just told me the date and time at my booking in appt. And wrote it in my book . I work in the hospital anyway so will go to the department tomorrow and see if they can accommodate a later time . Don't necessarily need to change the day . Can't wait to have it done as I haven't told my sister's or family yet . Just my mum and obvs OH.

Just reading through all the maternity clothes ideas. Will definitely have to have a look. I have my dating scan on Friday, I'll be 12+6 But had a similar scan on Thursday last week for the NIPT.

I'm feeling really paranoid. I know you shouldn't use a hot tub, have a really hot bath and read not to put a laptop on your belly when using it etc due to heating up your body and this causing problems.

I've just had my first hot meal in about 8 weeks and was feeling too tired to sit at the table so just sat watching tv with it on the sofa. Without thinking i rested the bowl on my belly for a few minutes and the bowl was really hot. I wasn't even thinking as I have a bit of belly fat and was just being lazy. Now I'm really worried that I've caused some issue with the heat on my belly Sad OH thinks I'm being silly but I can't stop thinking about it!
