Hi!!

I was on the other thread in pregnancy but thought i’d pop over. I’m due 1st April, but will be having C section approx a week before.

2nd child, miraculously conceived naturally after 2 failed rounds of IVF, 1 chemical pregnancy, 6 months of clomid & 4 operations. We started trying in 2014! So it’s been a long road.

puravida31 · 15/08/2018 19:10

@VillageFete what a journey! Massive congratulations, and it’s lovely to have you over here!

HidCat · 15/08/2018 19:18

@ballanj I've definitely had a hard time with breathing. I'm asthmatic anyway but it's definitely worse.

BadBadBeans · 15/08/2018 19:23

@pushit double congratulations to you! I totally get the feeling of panic, but you will cope. At least you have chance to prepare and plan - imagine the days before scans when people genuinely didn't realise there were going to be two babies! Argh! I must say I would have cried at the scan as well - half through excitement and half through total bloody fear. But... you get two babies for one pregnancy - that is totally excellent! Much love to you as you digest your exciting news xx

Welcome to all the new names. I'm feeling way too sick to be organised enough to tag everyone hello! I couldn't manage to eat certain bits of my dinner tonight which is bad for me - usually I do clear my plate. Feeling totally wiped out and wishing I didn't have so much work on this month! Roll on second trimester - I am so keen to get some energy back.

Wineandchoccy · 15/08/2018 19:29

Welcome to everybody from the other thread lovely to have you all here Smile

Sictransitgloria · 15/08/2018 19:51

Just popping over from the other thread.

I’m 8 weeks tomorrow 🎉

Minichuch · 15/08/2018 19:59

@Clairemcd13 @Murphyrocks can you also let me know about fb as well tia

LovelyFishy · 15/08/2018 20:15

Popping in from the other thread!

I say popping but it’s probably more a sluggish crawl, I feel soooo sick this evening.

fanks · 15/08/2018 20:21

Oh wow @pushit amazing news!!!

I'm sick of waking up at 5am every morning with vivid dreams!

ladycarlotta · 15/08/2018 20:25

@LittleKitty1985 ooh Naples! The city of carbs! Lucky you - eat pizza and frittatine to your heart's content. I yearn for a proper Neapolitan pizza. Shame about the Aperol though. Where else are you going?

welcome to everyone who's come over from the other thread @WhatALearningCurve @VillageFete @SicTransitGloria @Lovelyfishy - glad to have you all with us. I had a little nose in the August thread to see all the babies popping out and got a bit emosh thinking that'll be us one day!

MoosterTheMoose · 15/08/2018 21:25

Just checking in! Absolutely yes on the breathlessness, although I find it worse with general everyday stuff rather than actual exercise. I’m finding it takes me ages to warm up though, and during warm up my breathing is awful, especially with swimming... it’s v embarrassing and i’m sure everyone’s wondering why I seem to be getting slower and less fit! I have a feeling i’m probably beginning to show a bit in my swimming suit though so hopefully will soon become obvious!

VillageFete · 15/08/2018 21:27

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I’m only 7+2 but close family and friends know. I am sick to death of them all saying “I can picture you with a boy” “You’re definitely having a boy” “It’s got to be a boy, I hope so” Erm, how do they know?!

I have an almost 9 year old DD, so maybe that’s why they are saying it, one of each, but it’s really grating on me?! Like a girl is going to be a disappointment to them all? They all seem hell bent on being certain that they have a feeling it’s a boy. I don’t have that feeling, so how can they? Hmm

After all i’ve endured, I don’t care if it’s a bloody alien, as long as it’s healthy, but their comments are really annoying me!

LittleKitty1985 · 15/08/2018 21:31

@ladycarlotta Yeah the pizza is amazing! We're off to the Amalfi Coast for a few days tomorrow, then visiting DH's friend somewhere (I can't remember the name, it's a bit random), then Bologna, Lake Garda and Milan (we've done Rome, Florence, Venice etc previously, so skipping them this time).

If anyone has been to any of these and has some top tips then please let me know! Smile

Wineandchoccy · 15/08/2018 21:46

@LittleKitty1985 it might be a bit far but Ferrara is about 45 mins from Bologna. It’s a lovely town, pretty square with amazing restaurants. Castle and cathedral. I went with work last year but 2 of my colleagues have been back for long weekends they loved it that much.

Sophlou · 16/08/2018 00:03

Would someone mind adding me on to the list EDD 27/2/19 3rd baby. Thanks

LookingAtTheStars89 · 16/08/2018 00:18

@HidCat. Peeking in from the Feb thread! Hold on in there with your breathing and don't be afraid to take inhalers if you have them :-) My breathing was TERRIBLE at first - wheezing, breathless etc but it's getting easier now I'm 14 weeks :-). Don't be afraid to ask your GP for help of you need it too :-)

ladycarlotta · 16/08/2018 00:21

@littlekitty1985 had an amazing time on the Amalfi coast last year. We went to Pompeii and Herculaneum, ovvo, but stayed a few days in Maiori which is so-so (although the actual place we were staying was INCREDIBLE - accessible by foot, a few hundred steps climb into the hillside) but has a beautiful walk along Il Sentiero dei Limone (path of lemons) to Minori which has a great cake shop - Pasticceria Sal de Riso. I liked Amalfi, and Ravello with the Oscar Niemeyer auditorium was lovely. I'd love to go again. Really wanted to walk the Path of the Gods. Maybe with a baby in tow...

SDP84 · 16/08/2018 00:23

Hi 👋🏻 I’ve been lurking. Could I be added onto the list too EDD 4/3/19. 2nd baby first is a girl who’s 8.
I have my first scan next Wednesday and time is dragging waiting for it.

Murphyrocks · 16/08/2018 06:54

Wow, so many messages to catch up on! I think I've PMed everyone who asked about the Facebook group - if I've missed anyone please do PM with your real name and profile pic description and I'll add you.

Tentative congrats on your double trouble @pushit!

Sarahandduckarehigh · 16/08/2018 07:06

Checking in.

@Pushit wow, fabulous news - albeit a little terrifying I imagine.

Welcome to those from the other thread!

As for me: 11 weeks on Saturday. Nausea still pretty crippling. Just got my scan date through for the 31st August.

pushit · 16/08/2018 07:37

Thanks everyone!!!! Currently looking for a 7 seater and double buggy; trying to get our heads around it. I'm currently referring to them Rocky and Rambo despite the fact I think they're girls. Still in a tailspin. Hope everyone else's 12 week scans go okay.

thecherryontop · 16/08/2018 08:20

@Murphyrocks would you mind pm'ing me about how to join the fb group please? I'm using the app and not sure I can pm you? -sorry!

ladycarlotta · 16/08/2018 08:46

Welcome out of lurkerdom, @SDP84! You and I might be due date buddies, depending which date is right (I'm 4/3 based on measurements at last scan, 2/3 going by LMP). My scan's on Tuesday and time is similarly dragging.

Marmite2018 · 16/08/2018 08:52

@pushit you'll be amazing!!!! It's overwhelming right now but it will be amazing.

I'm checking in too. 10+5 today and wondering if this morning sickness will ever go?! Another day on the sofa for me today!

myotherbagisgucci · 16/08/2018 08:57

@pushit I can only imagine how overwhelming things must be at the moment! Two of my husbands cousins have twins, one set of girls and one set of boys. They play together and are best friends, they're very sweet together.

I'm also looking for double prams too, as my DD will only be 14 months when DC2 arrives. I do like the look of the bugaboo donkey duo. Anyone heard anything good or bad about them?
