@Gronk27 sounds like you had a really successful shopping trip. I went into Camberley town centre and found absolutely nothing. H&M's maternity section is so small and they didn't have anything in my size to try on ☹️

I'm going to have to venture out to larger stores elsewhere I think. Desperately need a pair of trousers that I can wear to work!!

@wordsmithereens I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and actually felt really energised yesterday, maybe even a bit of a glow, although not quite as great today! But hopefully means its on its way!

@TheWanderlust it was very successful but it was the only place and even then it was a small (but well stocked with basics) section. It was also intermingled with the plus size clothes which I found odd. DH thought it was because it was loose fitting clothing but I don't really want loose stuff I want stuff that fits but accommodates growing bump and is comfy. The plus size would always be too big for me personally so not sure if was just bad planning. Considering Birmingham's reputation for shopping it's really shocking. I asked in about 5 shops and all said it's only online. I hate shopping online though! I'll have to get on Asos for the more interesting stuff if I ever have to go out any where!

On a positive note. We managed to have some sexy time and I've managed to sort out my washing and clean the bathroom, considering I've barely lifted a finger for weeks.

My sickness has ramped up the last few days since my dating scan and I'm fuming 😤😂 thought I was on the mend! Hubby is at the football with his friend and I've barely moved off the sofa since 1pm 🙈

That's weird that they had the maternity clothes with plus size. In our H&M it was literally a tiny section squeezed in the corner next to the fitting rooms ... if you didn't want jeans or nursing camisoles there wasn't anything else to choose from!

@LittleKitty1985 I guess your partner would have spent most of his time inside in air con and probably not been bitten. Does he remember having mozzie bites?
You should talk to your midwife and you should also use condoms during your pregnancy as a precaution but please try not to worry. There are very few cases affecting babies, even amongst people who live there full time.

As for buying things, I had a basket full of Frugi pieces for the baby, all on sale. I couldn't decide whether to check out or if I would be jinxing things at this stage. Two days later and it's all back to full price. That will teach me!
I have saved everything from DS but the newborn and 0-3 is mostly plain white stuff so I was going to add some cute prints.

Thanks everyone for reassuring me on my body changes . Today I have had a good day . First time I've had an actual appetite in weeks. I've ate loads and actually enjoyed it ! Has anyone had to change there scan app previously ? I need to change mine . It's on Thursday but can't make it . Well it would be very difficult for me to make it . Do i ring the scanning department ? Not sure who to contact x

No experience changing scans but there is a number on my letter which I says to ring if you can't make it.

I've been feeling SO ill lately. The nausea is back with a vengeance (14 weeks! where's the justice?), and I've had diarrhoea the last few days, sorry for TMI. Have felt really cold and shivery today though so new anxiety is that it's a bug or listeriosis. If it doesn't sort by tomorrow I'm going to the GP.

My mum came for a coffee this morning and we popped into town which happened to take us past a charity shop that just stocks baby things. I didn't try to restrain her - let her pick out a billion body suits, baby gros and coloured muslins. I'd been meaning to hold out on buying things for a while but it was very cute stuff and it made her happy for the sum total of £13. Somehow makes me feel a bit less worried than if we'd bought it new - can always re-donate it if anything goes wrong.

@Jenlou1992 yep I had to change mine due to being abroad on the day. I just rang the number on the top of the scan letter. Mind you, I did do it the moment the letter came through and they did have trouble squeezing me in elsewhere so do call them first thing Monday!

Cheeringly I have just managed my first cup of (decaf) tea in 6 weeks. It tastes comforting and good and not disgusting. Nice to be back!

@LittleKitty1985 it does seem unlikely you would be affected but certainly worth raising with the midwife. I will confess I have had my own little worry about zika but mine was ridiculous- I was round a friend's house for dinner and he nicked himself slightly with a knife while making a salad for our dinner - he said ouch but I don't know if he actually cut the skin. I'm pretty sure he has worked in zika countries recently and I did consider mentioning this to the midwife but decided I was being a bit irrational. I think yours is a rational worry but it is v v v unlikely anything will be wrong. Use condoms from now on and see what the midwife thinks, but do try not to worry. X

@ladycarlotta I'm sure you are fed up. I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and the nausea is getting to me. I literally feel like eating nothing but get stomach pains if I don't eat. Fruit is good but doesn't last long. It's much worse than with DS.

I also very frequently get cold very easily and shivery in the evening & have to get into bed. I'm not sure what it's to do with!

I was kinda hoping I could just mostly wear my normal clothes until the late stages or is that too whistful thinking??? I'm a size 8 and have an identical figure to my mum. She only put on just over a stone with me and even less with my brother. She didn't show until she was about 7.5 months.

Also I've been way hungrier than normal so opposite to most!! I've mainly been filling up on fruit, toast, porridge etc. I'm the kind of person who always has to eat little and often throughout the day anyway (I have breakfast before I go to work and then eat it again when I'm at work) ... Also haven't been sick, although have felt sick at times. Anyone else in my position???
