Hello everyone, I've still got small amount of brown spotting now and then.

I'm 5 weeks 2 days tomorrow - do you think a clear blue digital would show 2-3 weeks yet or should I wait longer?

Pancakes7 · 20/11/2018 18:25

@OneMoreWish I'm not sure tbh. I didn't take any more tests after my positive. I would wait for your scan you mentioned. That will reassure you. Try not to over think it. Chances are baby is fine.

Swisbest2 · 21/11/2018 08:33

Sorry only just saw this @pancakes7 just work work work lol. Whats the appointment for? Yeah all good (i think) 12 weeks today and noticed headaches dizziness and heartburn as well now 🤔 have read this is normal scan mon still very paranoid keep checking to see if theres a bump or anything but too early i guess

Maydot · 22/11/2018 09:23

Sorry you’re having a rubbish time @OneMoreWish, hopefully your scan will show all is progressing as it should. Some people seem to get bleeding or spotting through out their pregnancy and everything is perfectly fine.

How is everyone else doing? Any more scans this week?
So I’ve gone from feeling nothing to feeling loads!!... The past 3 days our little one has not stopped turning and wriggling and last night did her first big kick and OH was lucky enough to feel it!! It was amazing 😍

Maydot · 22/11/2018 09:32

And @Swisbest2 I also had dizziness and headaches at about 12 weeks, perfectly normal. I’m sure everything is fine, I’ll be excited to hear about the scan on a Monday!

Swisbest2 · 22/11/2018 11:10

Ah thanks @maydot i hope i have good news for you all. A kick wow!! 😁😁 bet that was really reassuring

Swisbest2 · 22/11/2018 11:14

I dont know why my smiley faces always come up like that so annoying 😣

Pancakes7 · 22/11/2018 13:58

@Swisbest2 I hope you're feeling a bit calmer now. Not long till scan. I am only just starting to feel my bump coming through now at 14 weeks and 3 days. But everyone's different. Yes I felt dizzy at 12weeks. It is a symptom mentioned on my pregnancy app. So don't worry. My appointment was to discuss my cervix length....3 years ago I had a lletz which is basically removing/ burning off abnormal cells which would have become cancerous. Luckily spotted on routine smear. But my cervix is a good length and looks strong so I don't need monitoring. They've just added another measurement to be taken at 20wk scan just to check.

Happysbno4 · 22/11/2018 14:44

16 weeks Friday.. still losing brown spotting every day. Hospital seem to think it will just continue. But two weeks ago baby was fine. I have had some movements since. Starting to feel more confident.

awakeatnight · 22/11/2018 15:40

Can anyone help explain what's likely to happen at my upcoming scans? I have a "reassurance scan" at the EPU at 10 weeks and then my 12 week scan all being well booked a couple weeks later. I've tried to google but can't seem to establish quite what I want so know to quell my anxiety.

What happens at a reassurance scan? Might they tell there if there's anything wrong (other than the worst case of course which is my primary fear)

And at the 12 week scan, do they tell you their assessment of the skin fold etc there and then or do you have to wait for the letter and blood test combined result to come back? My scans are mid-late Dec so hoping not to be waiting for news over Christmas. Although I just can't get out of my head that the worst case will be true again and I won't even be waiting for news.

This is all so hard isn't it: I'm an anxious paranoid wreck now checking my pants between toilet trips and having terrors about scans.

Swisbest2 · 22/11/2018 16:32

Hey @pancakes7 now mon is nearer im kinda dreading going in wanting to remain ignorant in a way. Thats reassuring about the bump 😊 thats interesting have been due a scan last 2 years but been pregnant so 😧 at least theyre closely monitoring you so you can have reasuurance too.

@awakeatnight reasuurance scan will be to check you are measuring right and heartbeat not sure about dating not got there yet!

xJune88 · 22/11/2018 16:45

Glad to see everyone is doing ok. I'm nearly 16 weeks now still feeling mega anxious and worried but the weeks passing are making it abit easier. Have a scan for next weekend to find out sex and check on baby and bleed and will then tell my family depending how it goes hopefully then I can chill! As if some people are feeling movements I haven't had any yet can't wait to feel something and get fat haha xx

Pancakes7 · 22/11/2018 18:28

@Swisbest2 Do you mean you've been due a smear last 2 years? Rather than scan. Make sure you have one after baby. It could save you!

Swisbest2 · 22/11/2018 19:30

Yeah @pancakes7 sorry was in a rush lol. Will do. I know how important they are my bodies been all over the place for a while!

shinyblackdog · 22/11/2018 22:56

@awakeatnight at my 12 week scans they have told me the fold is fine, but it's only one of three factors in the calculation, the others being age and bloods - the bloods take a few days to test so they can't tell you straight away. My hospital's policy is to call in a couple of days if the results are not good and no news is good news - I usually got letters confirming low risk within about ten days.

Agree, it's all very nerve-wracking.

Jessabean · 23/11/2018 07:33

Hi everyone.

Glad to hear you're all getting on ok. @Maydot that's great with the movements. I've started getting regular definite movements over last week or so and it is very nice & reassuring. Before had a few on and off but wasn't completely sure if it was at that point!

Had my 20 week scan yesterday. All was well. She was very very wriggly though & in the end they couldn't get all the views they wanted for the heart so have to go back in a couple of weeks after my holiday but they said what they could see looked fine! Starting to feel more confident now.

@Pancakes7 funny enough I got letter through yesterday calling me for smear- but confusing as had one in Jan where results in letter came back as negative as they have in past - so then not sure why I'm being asked for another one at 6 months 🤷‍♀️ will have to ring Gp.

@Swisbest2 & @awakeatnight good luck with your scans coming up. Hopefully will be able to give you the reassurance you need.

Maydot · 23/11/2018 08:32

@Jessabean that’s exactly the same as me!!... I’m back on Thursday for my 2nd attempt at the 20 week scan. And Yay for the movements!!... It really is amazing now you can tell what it is isn’t it

kisses4u · 23/11/2018 13:42

Hey everyone, been lurking in the background, 15 weeks tomorrow!
Great to hear everyone's doing well! Nice to see some of you enjoying those first kicks! I'm desperate to feel something! Thing I was 18 weeks before I could with DS... so a bit of a wait yet.
I'm planning a 16/17 week scan if I can get one booked in time, as I want to find out the sex, but have to keep it from OH... not going to be easy... but he does know I'm finding out, he'd rather not know when I go for the scan so I'll not tell him. I hope I can keep the secret 🤞
Otherwise sickness is easing off now, I'm down to just the cyclizine 3x a day now, still sick occasionally but I can function now, so that's the main thing!
@awakeatnight did you ask about viability scan and 12 weeks scan? I had a reassurance / viability scan at 7 weeks. Just to check for a heartbeat. Basically tells you if the pregnancy is progressing as it should. At my 12 week scan they measured the fold in the baby's neck, told me there and then it looked good, then I was told a phone call in 3 days if bad news or wait for a letter... mine arrived only 5 days later and was low risk. Phew!

@Pancakes7 How are you? Have you heard from @frankiefumbles Lately? She's not been on here for a while. Hope she's doing well. Think she might be on another thread maybe?!

Pancakes7 · 23/11/2018 13:58

@Kisses4u Hiya, No I've not heard from her. I hope she's getting on ok. I'm glad you're doing well. You're only a few days ahead of me now. I'm 15 weeks on Monday. We're waiting for 20 week scan to find out. Very excited! It's 4th Jan. I'm enjoying it being out in the open now and just bring able to enjoy it. I bought our first baby thing. A pack of 3 Winnie the pooh bibs from m&s, as I had 20% off. They're so cute!! I'm excited to get all the main bits in the new year. Wow not telling your OH the sex will be difficult! Exciting for you to find out though. Does he not want to know till baby is born?

Hi ladies! I’m back. So as you all probably know:

December 2017 missed miscarriage at 12 weeks
Chemical March 2018
TFMR lost my son Charlie at 14 weeks August 2018
Chemical September 2018

Now... I’m 5+2 in a new pregnancy. So scared. Not feeling confident at all. I’ve lost too many pregnancies to have any faith but trying to be optimistic. Have a scan in one and a half weeks and will take it from there. Praying that this pregnancy works out but I know now not to get my hopes up! So far feeling exhausted and a bit sick, although with Charlie my sickness didn’t start until 7 weeks. Is it weird that I’m looking forward to it!? Haha just for the reassurance 🙈

Swisbest2 · 24/11/2018 20:46

Hi @hayleyfx congratulations on your pregnancy. Well all be sending you our positive vibes and support 😊

Pancakes7 · 25/11/2018 07:29

@hayleyfx Welcome back. I really hope all goes well for you. It's good you have an early scan booked for reassurance.

hayleyfx · 25/11/2018 19:23

Thanks ladies! Fingers crossed 🤞 great to see you’re all doing well!
