Congratulations @Pancakes7!!Beautiful scan picture! And great that they bumped you a little further along the path!
I'm not sure with the nub theory- think I can see genital nub as the little bright bit between the legs but can't make out if it's pointing up (boy) or flat/down (girl). Do you have any other pics? Getting kind of addicted to this nub theory guessing malarkey! 😂

Pancakes7 · 13/11/2018 07:11

Ooh thanks @kisses4u I'm kind of hoping it's a girl. @Jessabean Tbh our pictures are not very good. This is the only non blurry one of the whole of baby which is a shame.

Maydot · 13/11/2018 09:27

So pleased your scan went well @pancakes7, such a relief
We had our 20 week scan yesterday, everything went well. We’ve got to go back for another scan in 2 weeks so they can check the heart just because the baby was laying in a difficult position but everything else looked perfect.
They’re also going to double check the gender because it had its legs very tightly crossed but from what they could see it’s a GIRL!! And due date remains as 2nd April
I’m feeling much better now and even going to start thinking about buying some bits!

Pancakes7 · 13/11/2018 11:12

@Maydot Oh how lovely. I'm glad your scan went well too. Exciting to buy bits.

Swisbest2 · 13/11/2018 12:17

Wonder what this crease is then? I was quite toned and slim before... 🤣

Swisbest2 · 13/11/2018 14:15

Lovely news @maydot congratulations Flowers

Pancakes7 · 13/11/2018 15:13

Anyone else still feeling sick all the time even in 13th week?

HalfBloodPrincess · 13/11/2018 16:16

@pancakes7 yes! Especially worse after eating. I don’t know how I’ve put on 16lb I have no appetite at all

Maydot · 13/11/2018 16:28

I still feel sick on and off, find it’s worse if I’m tired or if I don’t have breakfast

Swisbest2 · 13/11/2018 18:32

Very nauseous at specific times then after ive eaten 🤔 11 weeks also finding meat hard to stomach but eating fruit like theres no tmw

Jessabean · 13/11/2018 19:55

Congrats @Maydot! That's great news! That's second time they've thought girl now right? Sure they're correct! 💕 Counting down to my 20wk scan next Thursday now!
I still had some nausea on and off at 13 weeks but went by 14 weeks and apart from random morning of vomiting a couple of weeks ago I've been ok now- most of my nausea now seems to be from the other side with bloating & constipation or heartburn- yay lol!

Maydot · 13/11/2018 20:13

Yes @Jessabean we’ve been told girl at the last 2 scans so we’re going with it!
You’ve not got long to wait!! Any more scans coming up?

Swisbest2 · 13/11/2018 20:24

I am so backed up but cant stop eating ffs feelnlike im gonna pop

Pancakes7 · 13/11/2018 21:57

@Maydot and @Swisbest2 I hope you're both feeling better soon. I get nausea all day, with it getting worse or better at different points of the day. Also get bloated too and back ache. But all will be worth it. I keep remembering the scan. It was so amazing seeing baby so wriggly. I can't wait for my 20 week scan. I'm so excited.

Swisbest2 · 14/11/2018 14:10

Ah @pancakes7 i bet you cant 😊 im having a bad day and have convinced myself something is going wrong its possibly because by this point last time id had a bleed and was waiting to miscarry fully which would have been equivalent of this weekend. Text my mw asking if she could fit me in to tey find heartbeat or something but she said she doesnt try before 14 weeks 😣 i do feel awful as usual but having more white discharge and the feeling is just freaking me out sorry if tmi!

Pancakes7 · 14/11/2018 17:26

@Swisbest2 White discharge is healthy as long as milky/ stretchy. This happens alot in pregnancy. So please don't worry x

Pancakes7 · 14/11/2018 17:27

@Swisbest2 even if thicker more low cottage cheese this is a single infection. Possibly thrush. Can visit gp to sort.

HalfBloodPrincess · 14/11/2018 17:55

I had thick stretchy cm - almost like ewcm but milky white. GP said it’s the extra progesterone that causes it, that it’s normal, and would either go in second trimester or stay till the end (helpful)

Only if it’s smelly, itchy or bubbly is it cause for concern

Pancakes7 · 14/11/2018 18:07

Sorry was sending message quickly. Should read like cottage cheese might be simple infection. But anything stretchy or milky is fine.

Swisbest2 · 14/11/2018 18:19

Thanks ladies no its just like i would get before stretchy stuff if i wasnt already knocked up lol 😂 think work didnt help home now and day off tmw hope everybodies doing ok today?

awakeatnight · 14/11/2018 21:51

Thank you for posing the question @Swisbest2 as this has been troubling me too. And thank you @HalfBloodPrincess for the progesterone clue, as I'm noticing so much more discharge than my previous 2 pregnancies but I am now supplementing progesterone. It's just thick white stretchy stuff but the worst thing is it can be so much that I feel it blob out and have to make an emergency bathroom stop wherever I'm doing to check as I always think it's going to be red. Sorry tmi! But anxiety levels are through the roof about it :(

Swisbest2 · 15/11/2018 10:04

I know what you mean @awakeatnught im not using progesterone but with my mmc had brown discharge and whenever i feel something down there im really nasty until i can go check 😔

Pancakes7 · 15/11/2018 13:25

How did you all tell your works? I told my boss but not sure how to tell the office. I mean how do I bring it up? There's only 19 of us so not c massive. Any tips would be good, thanks.

shinyblackdog · 15/11/2018 16:37

With dd1 telling work was easy as an email went round asking if anyone had anything interesting for a newsletter so I replied to all "does having a baby count?" This time no such opportunity has presented itself and wording an out-of-the-blue email proved very tricky, so I just told a few people and let them and the tum do the rest. (I told my manager at 12 weeks but waited until 20 weeks for general "reveal", hid under jackets and scarves up until then, so was pretty obvious!)

Maydot · 15/11/2018 16:57

@Pancakes7 once I’d told my manager I told my close friends at work who were over the moon for me as they knew how much we’ve struggled to get to this point. I didn’t really bother announcing it to anyone else just stopped trying to hide my bump!!
Everyone’s been wonderful though and told me to take as much maternity leave as we can afford. I’ve got to put my request in for my maternity leave next month 😬, I think I’m going to take the full 12 months then see if I can go back part time.
