Lovely chatty bunch!!

bubblybrit · 01/08/2018 11:34

Thanks @maxiflump1.

Hope all ladies doing well this morning. I’m halfway through a 7 hour drive.....luckily DH is driving. My back is still killing me though 😢!

Celebelly · 01/08/2018 11:42

Yay new thread! Good luck to everyone getting scans today

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/08/2018 11:58

@bubblybrit. Confused 7 hour drive!! My poor bladder couldn't last that long let alone my back lol

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/08/2018 12:08

My five year old DD has informed me that this time she would like a brother and he should be called Wilbur 😂😂😂

Picklesandpies · 01/08/2018 12:08

Thanks @maxiflump1 - can't believe how quickly they fill up!

bubblybrit · 01/08/2018 12:08

@LookingAtTheStars89. It is horrific! Stopped twice for toilet breaks but my back is breaking. I’ve went from cramps in my tummy to full on backache. Not great when trying to sleep at night either. How’s you? X

bubblybrit · 01/08/2018 12:09

@LookingAtTheStars89. Where did Wilbur come from? Lol

Picklesandpies · 01/08/2018 12:11

Has anyone looked at booking onto antenatal courses yet? This is our 3rd baby but would still really like to meet other parents, especially as this is a new area for us.

The only thing is, the only suitable NCT one offered is 19 hours over 6 sessions and several are super close to Christmas (ie. 23rd Dec 11.00 - 16.00!) Yikes...

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/08/2018 12:13

@bubblybrit. I have no idea where Wilbur came from but the more I see it the more I think it's quite sweet lol. I had tummy cramps after my ultrasound yesterday. I've still got nausea and reflux which is painful and annoying! Where are you heading to on your journey? I probably would have stopped 5 or 6 times by now 😂

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/08/2018 12:14

@Picklesandpies. How do you find out about those classes?

bubblybrit · 01/08/2018 12:17

@LookingAtTheStars89. At least she is taking an interest 😀 we were visiting our friends who live close to London so on the return journey to Scotland. Usually DH and I split the driving but not this year! Ah that doesn’t sound great. Hopefully you will feel better soon with the second trimester round the corner. How was your ultrasound?

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 01/08/2018 12:20

@since2016 - Thanks for the well wishes, today’s scan went well, all good! I can maybe start to believe this ones a good ‘un!

hayley013 · 01/08/2018 12:25

Glad everyone's having good scans! Mines next Thursday but 12 weeks today, can't wait!

I'm in agony with suspected UTI, going to be seen at urgent care centre this afternoon. Also got a really painful constant cramp low down on left side, wondering if it's related to uti or a different issue, feel a little uneasy about it.

On the upside, I think the nausea has finally buggered off 😂😂

clairehr · 01/08/2018 12:27

Place marking, will catch up on thread once back from camping trip 😊

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/08/2018 12:29

@bubblybrit. It was good thanks. I was a nervous wreck by the time I got in the scan room! I closed my eyes until she said it was ok to look lol.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/08/2018 12:35

Here's my scan pic - it's a bit fussy in place as they wouldn't keep still lol

We did a long drive at the weekend took an additional 2 hours nearly as I needed wee breaks!
I'm willing for my sickness to go I keep thinking it has and then 5 minutes later I'm wretching Confused

LookingAtTheStars89 · 01/08/2018 12:57

@twiglet. Brushing my back teeth gets me gagging every time!

Fiep · 01/08/2018 13:00

How do you know what type of NCT class today sign up for? It's my first and I'm overwhelmed!

Fiep · 01/08/2018 13:08

Oh. There aren't any NCT classes within 20 miles of me! Or so they not advertise them until later?

Celebelly · 01/08/2018 13:14

I think we'll just do the local NHS classes. Neither of us are the type to make friends in those kind of situations so not really sure it would be worth us paying for the NCT stuff unless the actual information is a lot better. I think we'll just save the money and spend it on baby stuff or keep it for a lactation consultant if I struggle with BFing.

Celebelly · 01/08/2018 13:14

When I did look at the NCT ones near us, they had intensive ones over a weekend and then ones that seemed more spread out on a weekly basis so it depends what suits you, I suppose.
