Alicejj no she didn't say anything about it at all, it just went in my report. I didn't ask her specifically about it though. Took forever to get the measurements, DH thinks she got 2mm and then 2.1mm (they go with the higher).

Ah so how far along were you at your scan, when it was 1.8mm? I'm not worried, it's very close to what it was with DS and I'm a day further along this time. The nuchal fold grows with the baby so it's bigger the further along you are.

Fredthespider · 14/08/2018 13:15

@LottieFrogley love that card! OH is still getting used to me being so hot, I'm normally freezing so it's a whole new experience and the recent hot weather has been awful so I'm jealous of your air con unit.

Glad the scan went well @Lookingforadvice123 :)

@DragonFlew I'm really pleased that you've not got to wait too long for you scan, I was really worried when you had to chase so much but it's nearly here!

Alicejj8x · 14/08/2018 13:16

@craftymum01
Yes I am sure it's all ok or I reckon she would
Of made a comment on it ..

I was 12+4 yesterday at my scan so they put my due date to 21st Feb and then got the 1.8mm measurement one was like 1.5 then 1.6 but they measured it so many times to be accurate the lady said

But she did say it looked perfect so I'm guessing that's ok but obv we're see when results come in

Alicejj8x · 14/08/2018 13:16

@Baby160P hope your ok! When is your scan thinking of you x

Seafoodeatit · 14/08/2018 13:32

I was told at my scan they like to see the see the Nuchal fold measure at under 5mm so all the ones listed here should be more than fine.

hayley013 · 14/08/2018 13:50

@Alicejj8x yeah I've gotta have the glucose test, though I didn't with DD, suppose times change. Can't remember when she said it would be, around 26 weeks maybe xx

Since2016 · 14/08/2018 13:54

@looking congrats!! I’ve still not had my results so assume all is well! So nice to be moved forward as well.

I’m having the glucose test - because I had such awful swelling last time and DD was so big. 25 weeks. Have already had the blood test.

Anyone else on metformin? Are you still taking it? I was on it for pcos although as the MW pointed out I don’t have the syndrome, just the ovaries part...

Seafoodeatit · 14/08/2018 13:56

Glucose tolerance test is a new policy this year for ladies with pcos as it's now deemed a risk factor for diabetes, It's just my luck as this time my bmi was well below the risk factor so I was hoping to dodge it!

MrsY87 · 14/08/2018 14:01

@Alicejj8x I have to have the GTT too I think it's because I'm high risk due to twins plus my previous babies have been big and last pregnancy I had to monitor my blood sugars towards the as they couldn't decide if I had it or not! All I remember is the drink you have to drink is disgusting and made me feel pretty awful!

Alicejj8x · 14/08/2018 14:07

@Since2016
Yes I am / was on metformin for Pcos exactly like you only the cysts on ovaries and it's very mild. Last 2 scans showed no follicles at all on ovaries!

I was told to stop taking it at 12 weeks so I did

Alicejj8x · 14/08/2018 14:08

@MrsY87
I am dreading this drink :/ is it really bad

MrsY87 · 14/08/2018 14:11

I just remember it being like v sweet flat warm orange squash, the problem is you have to drink it quickly & early in the morning! Hopefully my sickness will have gone by then otherwise I've got no hope!

LottieFrogley · 14/08/2018 14:16

I have to have the test too. Darn PCOS. Although I've never been on medication for it? Although just before I fell pregnant, we had a fertility appointment booked with the doctors. I've got both the ovaries and the syndrome. I've known about it since my teens. If you don't mind me asking, what's the meds for?

clairehr · 14/08/2018 14:21

Yep, I'll be having the GTT too as my mum got gestational diabetes which didn't subside and it can be hereditary.

Also got my appointment through for the Anti D injection yesterday. So much to look forward to 😂

DragonFlew · 14/08/2018 14:27

When I had to go for the quad test with DS2 I remember seeing lots of pregnant women who were waiting for their GTT blood test. And one of them fainted! How they can starve a pregnant woman is beyond me!
There must be easier ways like a simple finger prick?!

Since2016 · 14/08/2018 15:14

The receptionist told me it’s done in time order - so to arrive as early as poss so I’m seen first! Hideous sounding the whole process! Glad it’s not going to be hot!

craftymum01 · 14/08/2018 15:35

I didn't find the drink too bad, like strong orange Lucozade. It was the waiting around that was the worst. Not being able to wander around, just sat clock watching. The chairs at my clinic are so uncomfortable too. Remember to take some reading material or a puzzle book ladies!

powkin · 14/08/2018 16:04

I have PCOS (cysts but not hormones although haven’t had a blood test for years and years). Always been hairy but now tummy hair is awful from pregnancy! I digress, I seem to have gotten away with no blood test but will it come later? I told midwife about PCOS but she didn’t say I needed a test.

GP isn’t happy with my urine samples even after 2 lots of antibiotics. She said they aren’t really showing a specific infection but just ‘mixed bacterial growth’. She said if I wasn’t pregnant they’d just wait and see but I have to do my millionth urine sample AND go for a kidney scan.

So. Many. Appointments. cries

Baby160P · 14/08/2018 16:16

Thank you everyone!

Scan was fine!

Even though the baby wasn't laying so took a long time. It kept lifting its arm up and waving the little monster!!! ❤️

craftymum01 · 14/08/2018 16:21

Great news @Baby160P

AliceRR · 14/08/2018 16:25

DeliberatelyGinger · 14/08/2018 16:50

Vgreat bews @Baby160p. I had my check up scan at the early pregnancy unit and was given the all clear - yay! Official 12 week scan is next Weds but I'll turn 12 weeks tomorrow (no questions with dating when you've done IVF) Flowers

Since2016 · 14/08/2018 16:54
