Congratulations em, she's beautiful! Well done!
Magical creatures, I feel generally OK no problems really but very out of puff when walking anywhere.. Its making me quite lazy!
Just feeling a bit over whelmed about everything and a bit emotional.
Your hip pain sounds awful. Do u have another one t look after or can u put your feet up when not at work?

MagicalCreatures · 29/11/2018 23:42

@smorgasborgen yeh I agree about the emotional and overwhelmed feeling. I am starting to feel abit like that. It’s finally starting to sink in abit about how. UCLH is going to change. All for the good but change is still very hard for me to grasp. I work well with routine etc so I’m a bit nervous but have a hell of a lot of support so I’m very lucky.
No one to really look after me I’m afraid. I’ve always been very independent and my DH is the one that always seems to need looking after. Drives me mad to be honest. But my family are great. Esp my mum. She won’t let me lift a finger when she’s around 😂

Having a planned c section on Wednesday - very scared can anybody offer any advice?

Also anybody else having trouble sleeping with partner at moment? I actually just want to scream at mine the snoring, the taking up the whole bed and duvet and everything else is driving me insane!!!!!

AGirlinLondon · 30/11/2018 12:39

Congratulations @emwithme that is so wonderful and exciting!

Also gives me hope that one day I will have a baby and won’t be pregnant forever 😂

emwithme · 30/11/2018 13:33

Matilda is nearly 2 days old and says sleep is for the weak unless she's upright on me. She's quite snuffly so it may be that. We came home last night.

We've worked out the rugby ball hold works best for us, feeding wise, and she swears that I'm going to murder her every time I change her nappy.

In related news, coffee is AWESOME

December2018 · 30/11/2018 14:23

emwithme that's amazing! I'm so glad your home and she sounds like such a little doll!
And coffee is amazing! I have to agree... but how does it feel to not be pregnant?
I think I'd feel strange without my bump now, well in a good way because I cannot bloody move at all!
You've made it feel that bit more real now!
I'm counting down the days! 2weeks and 5 days to go... I'm terrified tho, like having nightmares kind of terrified!

Athers666 · 30/11/2018 15:02

Just been to my mw appointment. Baby is engaged...argh...she causually said she didn't think that I'd make it to due date...argh! Eek etc

0lgaDaPolga · 30/11/2018 18:30

@athers666 I am jealous! I am now one day overdue and nothing. His head has been 3/5 engaged for the last few weeks and no sign of any progress. I just really really hope I don’t have to be induced as I was last time and I don’t want to go through that experience again. I feel like I’ll never go into labour naturally!

Athers666 · 30/11/2018 18:34

So I looked at my notes and she's put that he is 3/5 engaged, so same as you Olga! I hope yours starts happening soon xx

Athers666 · 30/11/2018 18:36

Loving hearing about little Matilda!

MagicalCreatures · 30/11/2018 18:37

@emwithme awww thanks for the update. She sounds too cute. And it’s so strange to hear you talking about her as a real person with her own personality. It really does make it feel very real.
@Athers666 is baby fully engaged. Mines been 3/5 engaged for about 10 weeks. Not long for you then.
@Ameliaclem can’t offer any advice I’m afraid but my cousin just had a planned c-section and was very happy with it all. She said it was very chilled, she had a full face of make up so looked amazing for the post birth photos, the doctors were all very chilled aswell and she went home the next day.

I’m thinking I might start a new thread soon coz this one is nearly at its end and I’d love if we could start recording all the births and baby news on one thread. If I do that @emwithme feel free to upload that picture and the date you had Matilda again. We also still need some birth details anyway 😁 x

@magicalcreatures the notes say he is 3/5 engaged. So could be a million years yet, I don't know why she said she thinks he will be early, I should have asked but just kind of went 'oh' Doh!

Here’s the new thread. Join when your ready.

@Athers666 mine hasn’t said anything about mine coming early 😢 I wish he would. Though I’ve still got 1 day left at work (tomorrow) so give me a few days atleast 😂 I wanna put my feet up and have a maternity leave nap in the middle of the day on the sofa whilst watching shite TV.
