Not so much cramping here really but just getting very uncomfortable big movements. I feel like his head is squishing right into my bladder and when he kicks his legs it’s almost painful, especially in the ribs! My husband and I were watching him go crazy last night after I’d eaten some chocolate cake and it looked like something out of alien was going to burst out. So weird! I’m 38+5 today so not long left now

balalalala · 20/11/2018 08:44

I've woken up with the startings of a cold! My teeth ache 😟

December2018 · 20/11/2018 08:59

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies thankfully my mum hasn't had a drink since and my leg is healing, bloody hurts but healing lol
Ohhh it's getting very exiting now isn't it, we will be getting plenty of birth announcements really soon, I've been quite crampy & uncomfortable but I think it's just general pregnancy pains I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and getting super nervous, I think it's the not knowing what to expect is the scariest part and just not feeling ready (don't think I'll ever be ready) lol
I would do anything for a descent nights sleep 😴

Athers666 · 20/11/2018 09:11

Ugh the lack of sleep is killer isn't it! Get comfy and then in agony again five minutes later so change position but then have to get up to go to the loo of course. Plus any random pain and you think uh oh, what's happening? Waah.

Athers666 · 23/11/2018 16:03

How is everyone? I'm 37 weeks tomorrow, eek! Still got three days of work left to get through...could actually cry! Going for my flujab this evening, a bit late in the pregnancy but it was the earliest appointment I could get!😣

December2018 · 23/11/2018 16:12

Eeekk! It's so exiting isn't it hun... and also nerve wrecking
I'm cacking my pants a little bit now lol
I've just started my hospital bags and it was surreal!

December2018 · 23/11/2018 16:15

And I take my hat off to you completely for working this far!
I can just about walk at the min, and if I do too much I get brackston hicks really bad

My cravings have all gone and my appetite is almost none existent, I just feel the need to be in the bath all the time lol

Athers666 · 23/11/2018 16:27

Oh the Braxton Hicks are sooo annoying! I get them when i walk as well, so uncomfortable isn't it?
I've packed my bag now, but found it hard to pack for the baby as the newborn clothes we have vary so much in size and I don't really know what will fit him if you know what I mean😂
Can you believe we're going to have our little squishes in our arms soonish and not on the inside beating us up? Feeling quite emotional!

balalalala · 23/11/2018 16:32

Poor you still working away! I'm now 38+4 and since yesterday have totally crashed. Now ready for baby removal please! Today I seem to have developed my cold into full blown runny nose and my back is in agony. Went back to bed for a bit at lunchtime as my toddler - who believes that only mummy can get her out of bed in a morning - decided 5.30 was adequate today!

balalalala · 23/11/2018 16:33

@december2018 totally agree with you - I literally want to spend every moment in the bath!

kaytees · 23/11/2018 17:40

The bath is the greatest invention when it comes to being heavily pregnant... that is, until I have to get out.

I'm so glad it's not just me who is getting awful BH! I don't remember them being this painful last time. I was out shopping this morning and had to grab onto a counter they were that strong! One more week of work (am 35 weeks) and then baby can come if he likes as I'm definitely tired of these pretend contractions!

0lgaDaPolga · 23/11/2018 18:55

@kaytees I nearly had to shout my husband to help get me out of the bath yesterday but just about managed to get out by myself. So embarrassing 😂

December2018 · 23/11/2018 18:57

I've got them now actually 😖
Baby is back to back too so it's mostly horrible back pain sort of like somebody is twisting a screw driver at the bottom of my spine 😱.... I think it's bath time lol
Yeah getting out isn't much fun!
I have my oh on standby now just Incase haha

balalalala · 23/11/2018 20:16

I think my little one has switched to back to back too judging by where the limbs are and my back ache. My dd was born back to back and I'd been really hoping this one wouldn't be!

AGirlinLondon · 23/11/2018 22:16

38+3 today and just finished work! Hurrah!

I have a bath every day. It is my favourite thing in the world, it’s true they’re amazing. Our birth pool has arrived too...eek!

emwithme · 23/11/2018 22:37

God I love the bath but only have them these days when DH is in the house Just In Case I get stuck! (I haven't yet but that's not the point). He's on nights for the next four so I'm a bit limited to when I can have them (may ring best mate to see if she fancies a visit one afternoon instead)

Re packed my hospital bags this evening, got the "snacks and entertainment" bag and spare pillows (old ones that are destined for the bin shortly in tatty pillowcases so if they get mislaid at the hospital it's not the end of the world) ready.

Induction booked for Thursday if she doesn't arrive in the meantime... things feel imminent but not as imminent as they did yesterday when I was having lots of period- like cramps. Today has just been uncomfortable!

MagicalCreatures · 23/11/2018 22:55

Hey girls.
I’m so jealous of those of you who are so much closer then me. I’m 35 weeks today. Feel like I’ve been pregnant for 3 years and am very impatient to meet my little boy.

We have found the cause of my bleeding/spotting episodes after another one yesterday and 6 hours at the hospital.
Turns out I have cervical erosion. Nothing to worry about for me or baby but it’s made more complicated because of my negative blood group.

I’ve only had one bath in this pregnancy and after finding myself wedged in at around 28 weeks, have decided to stick to showers instead.
I certainly won’t be opting for a birthing pool 😂
And oh the joys of BH.
I’m feeling very lucky though and I seem to have escaped stretch marks. I’m hoping after all this time, that they don’t suddenly appear at the last hurdle.

@AGirlinLondon are you having a home birth then x

My rib pain has got even worse, it is really becoming unbearable now. I think I might go and get checked out tomorrow. Worrying that it may be pre eclampsia as it's only on the right hand side. I'm meant to be working but there's no way I can manage in this amount of pain! Maybe it is just little feet causing the pain but it really feels like somebody is stamping on me wearing burning boots!

AGirlinLondon · 24/11/2018 12:22

Hey @magical - my midwives are really keen on home birth so I am down for one, but keeping options open. The lovely thing is that they come to check on your dilation at home, so no getting turned away at the hospital which is the one thing I had been dreading.

But there is no pressure to stay at home if I don’t want to. I’ll see how I manage at home and if I want to, I go in.

MagicalCreatures · 24/11/2018 17:21

@AGirlinLondon that’s really interesting. My midwife mentioned quite abit and seemed really keen on home births at my antenatal class too.
It would be nice to not have to get turned away from hospital and then have to go back again only a few hours later. That happened to a friend of mine.

Well I have had rotten back ache all day today and quite literally struggling to walk. I feel so fatigued.
And I’ve still got another week left of work. Ooooohhhhhhh struggling through!!!!! X

balalalala · 24/11/2018 18:01

With my last baby I went in, stayed for 2 hours and was then sent home. I'd been dreading it too but honestly, it wasn't a big deal at all. It actually helped pass the time a bit!

MagicalCreatures · 25/11/2018 07:35

Does anyone else find it extremely painful turning over in bed. I must switch from my left to my right side atleast 15 times a night because of my hip pain but every time I do, my belly really hurts in the process.

OP posts:
emwithme · 25/11/2018 09:30

Oh yes Magical it's awful. Sometimes it's as if I need a crowbar!

I've got both a dream genii pillow and a giant double sided full body pillow so at the moment I'm just wedging myself on my side and attempting to sleep! I tend to get 90 minutes before needing a wee or to turn over, but it's easier to get up and then get back into my nest pointing the other way Grin

Having semi-regular tightenings - last night was strong period- like cramps every 15 mins or so which lasted for a good 3 - 4 hours before fading to nothing. 39 weeks today so I suppose this is entirely normal!

Got induction booked for Thursday if she doesn't arrive in the meantime so I'm now counting in days!

December2018 · 25/11/2018 09:32

Hey magical, I was just about to post the same thing!
It's horrible isn't it, yeah it's like a horrible ache or like I've pulled every muscle in my stomach at the same time
And the pelvis pain when getting out of bed in the morning 🙀

I turn in bed and the pain wakes me, then I realise I need "another" wee and the cycle continues about 6 million times thru the night... I don't even want my body back... just my bladder will do lol

MagicalCreatures · 25/11/2018 09:46

@December2018 @emwithme
Glad it’s not just me. Sorry your in pain too but I was worried that something was wrong. Though it’s been happening every night for the last 2 weeks, it’s got worse the last few nights and it’s always just my actual belly area. It does feel like I’ve badly pulled muscles.
The hip pain is ridiculous. I find the same. About 1 hour on each side before it gets too painful that I can’t sleep and I have to turn again. X
